Season Preview - Ridge Point Panthers

The Panthers stormed through the 2025 season with an impressive 11-1 record (7-0) district, establishing themselves as one of the toughest teams around. The scary part? They're bringing back the talent to do it all over again. Loaded with playmakers, experience, and confidence, the Panthers enter the 2026 season with championship expectations and every reason to believe they can make an even deeper postseason run. If last year was the statement, this season could be something special. After finding his rhythm early in the spring, everything began to click. He finished the year with 2,098 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, showing outstanding decision making and the ability to deliver when his team needed him most. Whether it's stepping in to keep the offense moving or making the most of every opportunity, he brings composure to the field. A standout multi sport athlete who also excels on the baseball diamond, Travis continues to prove he's a valuable piece of this Panthers team whenever his name is called. He runs with excellent vision, finds running lanes quickly. He attacks defenders with confidence, turns short catches into explosive gains, and has the speed to pull away in the open field. Finishing with 17 receptions for 335 yards and five touchdowns, he proved to be a dependable target with a knack for making the most of his opportunities. The FAU commit looks to improve everywhere this season. He has dependable hands, quick feet, and the short-area burst to create separation underneath. He's comfortable catching the ball in traffic, gets in and out of his breaks efficiently, and has the awareness to find open space in the defense. The Panthers do a great job getting the ball in his hands early, especially on bubble screens where he can use his quickness and open-field ability to create space and take a bubble screen for a touchdown. As a center, he does a great job setting the tone up front with his consistency, awareness, and ability to handle the demands of the position. He shows good timing off the snap, understands his assignments. When it comes to run blocking, he gets off the ball , using great technique , hands and power to make room for his RB.     Shorte is bringing a strong work ethic into the 2026 season as he looks to add depth and competition to the Panthers' offensive line group. He has been putting in extra work this offseason by attending camps and continuing to sharpen his skills against top competition. That dedication to improving his craft shows the type of mindset he brings to the trenches, and he will look to turn those offseason reps into a bigger role this fall.     Adrian is looking to follow in his dad's footsteps while creating his own path at a different position. The freshman has already caught the attention of college programs, earning offers from Baylor, UTSA, and Texas Tech before even stepping on the field. With his talent, work ethic, and ability to make an impact, don't be surprised if Adrian finds a role early and earns meaningful snaps as a freshman this season.    The Panthers offense was one of the most explosive units in 2025, putting up over 50 points per game and proving they could score with anyone. While this group did lose several key pieces from last season, the cupboard is far from empty. The 2026 offense brings back talent, confidence, and players ready to step into bigger roles. The most points they allowed in a game was just 23, showing how dominant and consistent this unit was throughout the season. With a mix of returning talent and young players ready to step up, this defense has all the pieces to be one of the top units in the state. Let's get to know the players who will lead the charge in 2026.    Bennett was a key piece of the Panthers' defense in 2025, leading the way with his consistent production and ability to impact the game from the linebacker position. He finished the season with 77 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks, showing his ability to make plays all over the field. Dyllon holds offers from Lamar , and hampton.     Kansas State commit Bryson brings a different level of toughness to the Panthers' defense at the safety position. He brings the ability to impact the game in multiple ways, whether it's covering in space or stepping up to make plays in the run game. Last season, Aaron finished with 56 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss, showing his willingness to get involved and make an impact. A true lockdown DB, he has the ability to erase his matchup and make life difficult for opposing offenses. Logan also brings a playmaking mentality, forcing two fumbles last season while consistently finding ways to impact the game. Thomas is a player with a lot of potential, and his continued development will be something to watch heading into the 2026 season     Brayden brings a rare combination of athleticism and physicality to the Panthers' defense at the linebacker position. What immediately stands out on film is his ability to move like a defensive back while still bringing the toughness needed to play in the middle of the defense. His speed allows him to cover a lot of ground quickly, track down plays from behind, and make an impact in space against some of the more athletic players on the field.   Beyond his athletic ability, Brayden is a confident tackler who isn't afraid to step up and finish plays. He does a great job closing the gap, getting to ball carriers in open space, and limiting extra yards after contact. Brayden hold more than 10 offers from power 5 schools.     Eric is a player to watch heading into the 2026 season as he looks to take a major step forward at the safety position. After gaining valuable experience, he enters this year with more confidence and a better understanding of the game. His ability to continue developing. Eric has good film and make plays. PRZ will be taking a close look at him this year.     On film, Khalen shows the ability to create problems for opposing offenses with his quickness, technique, and relentless effort off the edge. He has a strong first step, uses his hands well to keep blockers from getting comfortable, and continues to develop his pass rush toolbox. Khalen does a great job setting up his moves, finding ways to get around the edge, and creating pressure that can change the momentum of a game. Khalen has multiple offers, Georgia Tech, Arizona, Houston, TCU.     Richard has been putting in the work this offseason, staying active and continuing to develop his game in preparation for the fall. With the dedication he's shown and the effort he's putting in behind the scenes.     . He has a great ability to attack downhill, quickly close gaps, and make plays before ball carriers have a chance to get comfortable. His instincts and willingness to fly around the field allow him to consistently be around the football, whether it's stopping the run or chasing plays from sideline to sideline.     Racey brings a high motor to the Panthers defensive line and plays with the type of effort that stands out on film. At the edge position, he does a great job using his hands to keep offensive linemen off balance, create separation, and find ways to make plays. His play recognition is another part of his game that separates him, allowing him to quickly diagnose what is happening and react before the play develops     On film, he shows a great understanding of how to use his hands, stays active through the play, and does a good job fighting through blocks to get to the football. Trey does a great job getting off the ball quickly, using his leverage to his advantage, and finding ways to make an impact in the backfield.     Kenny brings a relentless style of play to the Panthers' defensive line. He has the ability to change the game from the interior, using his quickness and strength to disrupt plays before they develop. His effort stands out on film, constantly chasing the football and creating stress for opposing offensive lines. He has two offers from Lamar and Yale.    The Panthers enter the 2026 season with expectations as high as ever after a dominant 2025 campaign. This team has proven they can compete at the highest level, finishing 11-2 while showcasing an explosive offense and an elite defense that allowed no more than 23 points in a game. Although they lost key pieces from last year's roster, the talent returning and the young players ready to step into bigger roles make this group just as dangerous, if not better.
