We took a page out of Rapid City tonight on the hunt for names to watch for this fall. This list shows off the talent pool that resides in South Dakota's second largest city with plenty of 2027s and 2028s that have plenty of under the radar names that need to be known this fall, including one that I cannot figure out why his first offer hasn't come in yet.

Coming off a state championship in 2025, the bar is high for Rapid City St. Thoams More 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1601551' first='Noah' last='Wald']. The now 6'0 170 pounder had 41 total touchdowns as a sophomore and brings the quick release and excellent precision on his deep throws back for more in his junior season. Noah also has very intriguing poise inside the pocket and returns Lindenwood commit [player_tooltip player_id='1293174' first='Rush' last='Turner'] up front to simipify that pocket presence even more. He's one that hails inside our top 20 that could make a move forward in our next 2028 rankings update amongst the quarterback group.

Brody is a 2027 defensive end that is still filling out his frame and college coaches will be able to contirbute even more to that at the next-level, but make no mistake this young man has some athletic skills that are showing off right now. He has very long arms that built more strength than you might expect at his size, as the physicality off the first clip of his 2025 tape shows how quick he can get OLs off balance quickly. He shows off growing ability with getting off blockers as again, that length does him some favors. The 6'4 180 pounder, also shows off lower body length that can get to the edges as I think there's surely some position flexiblity with what a college program could do with at the next-level. He holds two Division 2 offers in the NSIC thus far, and you can bet is a upcoming stockriser in this class.

Morgan is a 2027 prospect out of Rapid City Central that I have my eyes open on looking ahead at the 2026 fall season. He shows off as a fullback that can do the dirty work you want from a physicality standpoint as a blocker and chips in on a few different levels of the field for the Cobblers. When he gets the ball in his hands, he's one that shows off as fluid and always gets the hard-earned yards between the tackles with good short area vision. Surely looks like he could be an impact player to watch from Rapid City Central upcoming in his senior season, as he's got a good shot to be a senior bloomer.

Jackson has hit my radar at a couple of our last Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcases as with that alone, he jumps out as one of a few Rapid City Stevens Raiders that could have himself a nice senior season. He's another one that is a fighter for yards thru contact despite not being the biggest running back you'll ever see he brings a blue-collar mentality to the Raiders backfield. Jackson is another one of this list that handles the load as a run-blocker as one that when he gets downhill especially, can pave sizable areas for RBs to run thru along the edges.

One of the ring-leaders of the Rapid City Stevens defensive unit that I am looking forward to his junior season is 2028 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1597634' first='Bridger' last='Mez']. Bridger grew significantly in his sophomore season with his short-area vision as a run-stopper as he also improved with quicker pursuit angles down to the ball carrier. Another skillset that I will be watching for this fall from Bridger, is how far he's grown with his pass-coverage as he already shows as one of the best linebackers I have seen from West River in that skillset regardless of class, but I'll be intrigued by how big that step forward is this fall.

Caleb is a 2027 offensive linemen that grew significantly with his junior season tape, and I'll be enlightened to see what he puts together in his senior season. The now 6'1 260 pounder is one that wastes no time getting his hands pinned on DLs and has a lot of power in those hands that he can disperse quickly. The power shows consistently in the defensive trenches as well, as he's got upside with getting off blocks with even better timing looking ahead at the 2026 season. The Black Hills Conference Honorable Mention, should surely be one that moves the needle for the Comets in the trenches this fall.

A 2027 quarterback that I am really fired up about to watch out of Rapid City Christian in his senior season is [player_tooltip player_id='2106036' first='Peyton' last='Glenn']. The 6'3 180 pounder has a slinger for an arm like a baseball pitcher especiallly with his deep throwing ability that also hits with good timing for his WRs to move downfield quiickly on their routes. What intrigues me most watching Peyton on tape, is how far he can throw even while off-balance with his feet, which tells me there's even more arm strength at his disposal. He's one I surely think is due for more next-level football attention, as a highlight tape would surely help rise his stock to college coaches out there.

We got a good glimpse of Reed at the Augustana Prospect Camp back in June, as another one out of Rapid City Christan that is one to watch for in the 2026 season, aftaer a monsterous 112 tackle campaign in his junior season. The All-Stater as a junior, is a smasher type linebacker when he makes contact, and shows that off consistently the more you watch on tape. One of the biggest motors I have seen thus far in the South Dakota 2027 LB group that I surely cannot figure out why he doesn't have his first offer yet as Reed shows off a linebacker that create chaos coming downhill on the edges. Surely should be a great Division II fit from my eyes that is a sure-sleeper right now.
