PRZVA's Top-Ranked Uncommitted Players in the 2027 Class

Today we're taking a quick look at some of our top-ranked uncommitted recruits in the 2027 recruiting cycle. Every one of these athletes    [player_tooltip player_id='720778' first='Khalid' last='Rainer'] continues to be our top-ranked defensive back in the 2027 cycle, and that likely won't change anytime soon. His ability to play both cornerback and safety at a high level is one of the main reasons why college coaches have been flocking to him over the past two seasons.   He has incredibly loose hips and great anticipation that allows him to stick to receivers like glue, and he's a very physical tackler. Rainer is a pretty well-rounded defender, and it's easy to see why programs like Penn State, Wisconsin, UNC, Kentucky, and USC are after him.     [player_tooltip player_id='1311471' first='Jack' last='Strother'] is another versatile defensive back with great size and length in the 2027 class. He plays the run very well, showing the type of physicality that college coaches look for in a cornerback. He's a technically sound tackler, which helps him take down bigger ball carriers on a fairly consistent basis.   Similar to Rainer, his hip flexibility and above-average short-area quickness allows him to easily transition from a backpedal to moving laterally. Fluid lower body movement is sometimes an undervalued aspect of playing the position at the high school level, but Strother excels in it.   He currently holds offers from programs like PITT, Elon, UConn, Temple, and Liberty, but it wouldn't be surprising whatsoever to see him land some higher-end D1 offers as a senior in 2026.     [player_tooltip player_id='1311470' first='Jaerron' last='Johnson'] is an explosive wide receiver who looked unstoppable at times as a junior for St. Christopher's School in 2025. His ability to create separation with both quickness and pure speed downfield is incredibly fun to watch, and being able to get open with different elements is very attractive to college coaches.   Johnson has excellent hands and consistently attacks the football in the air on comeback routes and slants.   He's another player who should start raking in more P4 offers in 2026. He's reportedly "leaning" towards Temple, but he has offers from schools like Penn State, PITT, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, and WVU as well.     [player_tooltip player_id='1311473' first='Trey' last='Cherry'] is built incredibly well and has the frame to add weight if he needs to in order to play linebacker at the next level, which is where some schools have been recruiting him to play. Though he would probably be a solid collegiate linebacker depending on the situation, strong safety might be his best spot at the next level.   He's incredibly aggressive and effective against the run, but has shown the ability to be a top-notch coverage player on the back end as well, specifically in zone coverage. Cherry is undoubtedly a player to watch in 2026, and what programs like Temple, Old Dominion, and East Carolina are recruiting him to be (LB or S), will be incredibly interesting to see.     [player_tooltip player_id='1196951' first='Zion' last='Boisseau'] is a do-it-all-type of player who has excelled as a quarterback at Dinwiddie despite being only 5'10". He's incredibly mobile and has a surprisingly good arm, being able to make some really nice throws all over the field.   He threw for over 2,300 passing yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2025, while running for over 550 yards on the ground and scoring a whopping 16 rushing touchdowns.   Though he's shown the ability to be effective as a passer, college programs may be targeting him as a running back or slot receiver. Regardless of what position he plays at the next level, he continues to be one of the top overall players in the state of Virginia.
