Brownsburg Team Camp Day 1: Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brownsburg is holding back-to-back scrimmages during their annual two-day team camp, and the first took place on Tuesday afternoon. With several teams from around the state as well as Huntley High School and powerhouse East St. Louis in Illinois showing up, competition was fierce on the field for the Class 6A state champions. Went up against a Florida commit and won one-on-one battles, high-points the ball. Good initial quickness off the LOS, great adjustment back/high/low, height presents matchup problems. Does a great job of securing the ball away after the catch. Thought he looked better v. the run compared to scrimmage v. Avon with good acceleration to the ball and quick closing speed. Reads and reaction quickly on the move, comes up from his perch at safety and takes great angles. Just a well-put-together young man – big and very strong with a very muscular, rocked-up frame with a powerful set of legs and balled-up calves. Great combo of size and speed lets him run through contact and stay balanced in space. Maximizes every carry and possesses good vision and burst. Loved seeing him catch passes and prove he can be a dual threat during the team period. Better inside runner than outside. Has huge potential. Physical, hard-hitting safety who can cover and take away openings over the MOF. Very good at getting downhill, very instinctive and strong tackler. Contributes on special teams on kickoff coverage where he takes great pursuit angles to the ball.
