2027 Updated Rankings: Biggest Risers Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Pre-season updated MD/DC/DE Rankings just released and I take a look at some of the biggest moves. He has more than hit that potential and has developed into a legit big time prospect. Filling out his 6'5" with great muscle and strength. Kyle's been looked at by colleges at both TE and Edge hence why he is listed as an ATH, however I feel his home will be on D and that is what Northwestern sees him at as well. Kyle made his commitment to N'western on July 4th and they are getting a steal in him. Kyle is a big time athlete, basketball player as well. Showcases great get off on the snap with excellent closing speed. He possesses nice strength and power as well, and that should only improve more as he continues to fill out that frame. Kyle has the loose hips to play and hold the edge and in space. These recent rankings he moved up 45 total spots to being #30 overall and the #1 overall TE prospect. A player I liked early on the fall but needed to see live first and when I did this spring James more than impressed. A big target frame standing all of 6'5" and 230lbs. A natural athlete, he is smooth in his motion and looks the part. At TE James can play split out as a big WR and win 50/50 balls. A player who I valued as a P4 recruit after seeing him live vs Loyola (MD) this past fall. Colleges finally agreed this spring as he started to pick up a handful of P4 offers before committing to Northwestern in May. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A DT with a thick upper half, good build/frame &amp; strength. Tyler can stack &amp; shed, rip, push-pull his way off blocks. He gets good leverage at POA, able to extend his arms and keeps OL from getting into his chest. Displays good feet, runs on his toes, and pursues from the backside. With fluid hips, Tyler can turn and run down plays with good closing burst. Also possessing a high motor, he fights through contact and finishes. Overall Tyler is a a DL prospect with a nice combo of quickness &amp; strength. He moves into the top 50 overall and is the #7 overall edge prospect. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I saw Kemontae back in the spring and he stood out as an offer kid right away. A lean Edge Rusher, that is now starting to fill out with good bulk. He can play stand up edge or put his hand in the dirt. Displays nice burst off the snap, can bend the edge, fights through contact, and does a good job keeping his outside arm free. Kemontae brings good energy on the field, he plays fast and will lay a hit. He ws DCSAA Def. Player of the year this past season and finished with 20 sacks. Moving up to #61 overall jumping over a 100 spots after seeing him this spring. This jump also made him the #3 overall TE in a position group that is showing to be one of high level talent and depth.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big body TE with the athleticism of a WR. Able to make plays across all 3 levels of the passing game. Using his size and leaping ability to win 50/50 balls and get vertical. Able to work the seam and across the middle, Miguel is an excellent red zone threat. Most effective as a split X style TE, Miguel offers versatility in the passing game as a mis-match weapon.
