A player I saw P4 potential in since last summer but still was just a bit raw and needed development. He has more than hit that potential and has developed into a legit big time prospect. Filling out his 6’5″ with great muscle and strength. Kyle’s been looked at by colleges at both TE and Edge hence why he is listed as an ATH, however I feel his home will be on D and that is what Northwestern sees him at as well. Kyle made his commitment to N’western on July 4th and they are getting a steal in him. Kyle is a big time athlete, basketball player as well. Showcases great get off on the snap with excellent closing speed. He possesses nice strength and power as well, and that should only improve more as he continues to fill out that frame. Kyle has the loose hips to play and hold the edge and in space. Look for Kyle to make a case to be in the top 10 of the postseason rankings if he puts together another impressive campaign this fall.
Davis easily passes the eye test at 6-6, 235 pounds. Per his X account, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds at a camp in Maryland over a month ago. He received his first Division I offer from Georgetown on May 31st.
What I’m looking to see from him this season: His film is limited from last year, but there’s enough there to recognize that he’s agile and covers a lot of ground. I’m looking forward to seeing what he does with a lot more reps on defense this upcoming season. He has the potential to be a significant disruptor in the backfield this season. I can see more offers coming his way sooner rather than later once he can get a few more things on film.
