Tyler is a player who has moved up in the rankings the last 2 rankings updates and continues that theme as he jumped over 30 spots to the #39 spot and the #8 DL prospect. A player who I valued as a P4 recruit after seeing him live vs Loyola (MD) this past fall. Colleges finally agreed this spring as he started to pick up a handful of P4 offers before committing to Northwestern in May.

A DT with a thick upper half, good build/frame & strength. Tyler can stack & shed, rip, push-pull his way off blocks. He gets good leverage at POA, able to extend his arms and keeps OL from getting into his chest. Displays good feet, runs on his toes, and pursues from the backside. With fluid hips, Tyler can turn and run down plays with good closing burst. Also possessing a high motor, he fights through contact and finishes. Overall Tyler is a a DL prospect with a nice combo of quickness & strength. Northwestern is getting themselves another steal in this recruiting class in securing Tyler’s commitment.
