DJ is one of the premier prospects in the 2029 class and he showed why this past weekend in Gonzaga’s win versus Calvert Hall. DJ looks the part on the hoof with prototype frame/length to will fill out nicely. He shows dynamic burst and bend of the snap. Always in the backfield disrupting the play. DJ plays with a high motor, energy and intensity, he is not all flash and will lay a strike on the ball carrier. Developing a nice tool box of pass rush moves. DJ showcases a quick spin, twitchy out & in moves, and can bend the edge getting under the OTs shoulder and flattening down the line.

A prospect already holding double digit P4 offers, DJ picked up a UVA after his game on Friday. I have him as the #2 overall prospect in the 29 class for a reason. You can expect DJ to be a 30+ offer National Recruit type prospect in the future.

Dj Dockery Dj Dockery 6'3" | 210 lbs | EDGE Gonzaga College | 2029 State MD from Gonzaga College moved up from No. 4 to No. 2 in this update. At 6-3 and 210 pounds, he leads the DC area and is the second-ranked edge prospect. His recruitment is already national, with interest from Penn State, LSU, Virginia Tech, Maryland, South Carolina, and Auburn.

DJ makes a jump up within the top 5, going from #4 to know the #2 prospect in the MD/DC/DE 2029 rankings. Making him the #1 player in DC for the class and the #2 Edge prospect in the class that is loaded at the position. With prototype size, length, frame, and athleticism for the next level, it is no wonder 20+ colleges have already offered DJ. He showcases excellent get off and ability to bend the edge. Quick to the QB, using his length and athleticism to make plays in the backfield. Playing with a high motor, energy and intensity, he is not all flash and will lay a strike on the ball carrier. DJ is also developing a nice tool box of some viscous pass rush moves. A quick spin, twitchy out & in moves, and that dip around the edge ability makes him one tough player to stop for OTs.

You can just imagine as his frame fills out and gets into the 230-240lb range how dominant DJ could be. He has the skill set and ceiling to be one of the best in the country in the future.

DJ makes a very strong debut as the #5 overall prospect in the class and #2 Edge player. He shows dynamic burst & bend of the snap, able to get to the Q quickly. A nice athlete with size and length, DJ has fluid hips and runs like a deer. Showing a high football IQ, able to read the play and flatten down the line to get the ball or hold the edge and win at the POA.

Already holding offers from Penn St, Vtech, MD, LSU and South Carolina, he has shown he is a P4 player. While also having a ton of potential in his game still as he develops and gets stronger. I expect DJ to really take off next fall and make a strong case to rise again in the rankings.
