Week 0 and Scrimmages Live Eval: Standout Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After being out at multiple Week 0 games and scrimmages over the past week, I showcase a handful of prospects that stood out. These are all players that were saw live by me and caught my attention with their play. A thick built RB who runs with nice burst &amp; power. I saw him this past week in Salesianum's scrimmage vs. St Joe's Prep (PA) and he was a work horse back on the day. Running harder as the game went along, running through arm tackles and fighting for extra yards. EJ took one carry 20+ yards, running through would be tacklers and tacking it into for the score. EJ currently holds one offer from Temple, and he will certainly see that number go up this fall. A versatile player, he makes an impact at TE, Edge, and OLB. I got eyes on Aiden during Bullis scrimmage this past week. Aiden showed excellent ball skills and hands at TE. Able to fight through contact to make the catch and win 50/50 balls. Showed smooth route running and the ability to go up and snatch the ball out the air. At LB, Aiden was excellent in coverage. In both 7v7s and full live scrimmage he had multiple PBUs. Aiden has great instincts and a feel for the game, knowing exactly when to get his hands up to disrupt the pass. Wanted to see him do it live in game and boy did he in his first varsity start for MSJ vs Seton Hall Prep (NJ) this past weekend. He played a key role in MSJ's come from behind victory, making big play after big play. With multiple downfield catches and multiple TDs in the game, he was a dominate player out there. Traylen has excellent get off from the LOS. Can fight through press coverage and has immediate burst/acceleration off the snap. He tracks the ball very well, is quick to find &amp; locate it and will go get it &amp; high point the ball. He shows strong consistent hands, always catching the ball away from his body and snatches it out the air. He is a physical WR, fights through contact to make the catch. Shows impressive body control, putting himself in position to make the catch. Traylen is also excellent at winning 50/50 balls &amp; can break through DB tackles for big gains. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Currently holding no offers, Traylen is going to be a name to know this season. DJ looks the part on the hoof with prototype frame/length to will fill out nicely. He shows dynamic burst and bend of the snap. Always in the backfield disrupting the play. DJ plays with a high motor, energy and intensity, he is not all flash and will lay a strike on the ball carrier. Developing a nice tool box of pass rush moves. DJ showcases a quick spin, twitchy out &amp; in moves, and can bend the edge getting under the OTs shoulder and flattening down the line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">A prospect already holding double digit P4 offers, DJ picked up a UVA after his game on Friday. I have him as the #2 overall prospect in the 29 class for a reason. Making plays on both sides of the ball and bringing the intensity...a couple plays even a bit too much. At DB he was quick to trigger on the play and made some big time hits. He even had a forced fumbled when he hit &amp; ripped the ball out the RBs arms. One offense, Tysir had a a key big 65 yd reception to keep the chains moving and put Salesianum in scoring position. Tysir backed up his top ATH rating and I will be there live to see him once again this weekend. Backing up the #4 LB ranking and a prospect on the rise if that level of play continues this season. Cyrus is a well slapped together muscled up, thick built LB &amp; certainly passes the eye ball test. He was flying around the field and laying the wood on ball carriers. Cyrus plays with nice intensity. Displayed good power &amp; physicality in his tackles on the SHP ballcarriers. He is strong enough to take on blockers and blow them up. Gets downhill and fills, shoots gaps to make explosive tackles. Cyrus is also athletic enough to play in space &amp; drop in coverage. With quick hips to re-direct, trigger &amp; explode to the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Holding a handful of P4/FBS offers already and picking up a Vtech offer today, you can expect many more coming Cyrus' way this fall.
