Woodrow Wilson finished 5-6 in 2025, with the season ending in the opening round of the playoffs against Wheeling Park. The Flying Eagles remained competitive throughout the year and continued making steady progress, but they're still searching for the breakthrough that can push them deeper into the postseason. Replacing several multi-year starters won't be easy, as that senior class played a significant role in the program's success over the past few seasons.

2026 OUTLOOK

Woodrow Wilson has the pieces in place to make its Wing-T offense difficult to defend once again. Veteran quarterback Gage Price returns to lead the unit, and the Flying Eagles have enough experience and depth in the trenches to keep their physical identity intact. That combination should allow them to control the tempo and stay balanced offensively this season if they find weapons in the passing game to balance their running game. The biggest question comes in the secondary and at receiver after graduating several key contributors, but if a few new faces settle into those roles, Woodrow Wilson has the makeup to be a tough out every Friday night.

2027 ATH Javontae Wynes gives Woodrow Wilson one of its most versatile returning playmakers heading into the season. Wynes stepped into a larger role in the Flying Eagles' Wing-T offense last year while also contributing in the secondary, making an impact on both sides of the ball. His athleticism allows the coaching staff to use him in a variety of ways, and he's expected to remain an important part of the offense and defense this fall. Wynes has already picked up offers from Glenville State and Concord, and another productive season should keep his recruitment moving in the right direction.

2027 QB Gage Price returns to lead Woodrow Wilson's offense after serving as the Flying Eagles' starter for multiple seasons. He's done a nice job directing the Wing-T and has steadily expanded the passing game each year, giving the offense more balance. Price's leadership and experience are valuable for a team that returns several key pieces, and he's also expected to potentially contribute defensively. A recent offer from Concord reflects the progress he's made and puts him in position for a strong senior season.

He's also expected to play a key role on the defensive side, making him a player that the coaching staff can rely on in multiple phases of the game. His ability to block, be an effective pass catcher, and contribute defensively gives the Flying Eagles plenty of flexibility every Friday night.
