Under-the-Radar? These Overlooked Prospects Finally Land Offers

Below we spotlight four wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends who have played both inside and outside receiver spots who are names to know for the Hoosier State heading into the 2026 season. These four prospects display great qualities for the receiver and tight end positions and are under-the-radar players who are finally landing recruiting attention.    Wesley Summersett could be a diamond-in-the-rough prospect. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Class of 2027 linebacker/safety possesses good ball skills, great closing speed and has great range. Very good run defender who can pursue and chase sideline-to-sideline. Has a good, muscular frame with plenty of room to grow and add bulk. The South Adams High School prospect picked up an offer from Bowling Green this week.     For Bobby Thomas, the work is starting to pay off. Thomas is dangerous in space, displays good vision and cutback, and is a legitimate home-run threat. I love Thomas's effort, running style, versatility, and speed; if he gets out in space, the chance to catch and bring him down is low and he is a major returning playmaker for Pike, including in the return game. Thomas had more than 1,000 all-purpose yards last season and picked up an offer from Indianapolis.     Kolton Ablitar-Conner is a very underrated linebacker for North Central. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound linebacker earned all-county and all-conference honors last season for his skills as a pass rusher and nose for the ball. He is a tackling machine, leading the program with 83 tackles and knows how to rush the quarterback with two sacks. Franklin College is his first offer, who extended the opportunity this past week.     In-state linebacker Javier McCoy from Andrean is a hard-hitting thumper who takes great pursuit angles to the ball, very instinctive player who wraps up and can deliver big hits. McCoy has prototypical size and strength for the position; he flows to the ball with great explosiveness, burst and athleticism. Very twitchy for his size, he can hit like a bullet and dislodge the ball with heavy hits. He picked up an offer from Indiana after camping with the Hoosiers.
