Two-Way Talent: Kentucky's 2029 Class

We're diving into the 2029 class, and today, we're highlighting a group of talented recruits who have upside on both sides of the ball.    Schlarman has a good frame and build for a young recruit and already looks the part physically. He plays with a physical edge and isn't afraid to mix it up at the point of attack. He can handle blocking duties at the end of the line and also provides value as a receiving threat downfield. He does a nice job using his frame to create advantages, whether it's shielding defenders from the ball or gaining leverage as a blocker. I think the combination of size, physicality, and versatility gives him a lot to build on moving forward.     Stanley is a good, strong player who brings a physical presence every time he steps on the field. As a runner, he's tough to bring down and thrives in short-yardage situations where he can lower his pads and move the chains. He does a nice job protecting the football and rarely gives defenders opportunities to strip it away. Defensively, he's a strong open-field tackler who breaks down well and finishes plays. He also moves well enough to run in coverage, which adds to his value on that side of the ball. There's a lot to like on both sides of the football, which makes him an interesting player to project moving forward.     McAnally has a rare frame at 6'6", 200 pounds, and the upside is obvious when you watch him. He's still young and raw, but players with this combination of length and athleticism are hard to find. His long strides allow him to cover ground quickly, and his long arms create a huge catch radius. For a player his size, he's surprisingly nimble and doesn't look stiff moving around the field. He shows decent hands and has flashed the ability to contribute as a blocker as well. The finished product is still a ways off, but the physical traits give him a ceiling that will get people's attention.     Simon is an intriguing and versatile player who seems to make his presence felt in a variety of ways. He has good vision and instincts on the field, allowing him to react quickly and put himself in a position to make plays. He also shows good range and has the speed to run with just about anyone, which opens up a lot of possibilities for how he can be used. When the ball is in the air, he's capable of making some highlight-worthy grabs and has flashed impressive playmaking ability. He strikes me as someone who can be moved around and still make plays regardless of whether he's played there before or not.     Hall is a good athlete with solid range and versatility. He moves well in space, shows good change of direction, and has the athletic traits to contribute in a variety of roles. He's young, but the effort and work ethic stand out. There's plenty of room for growth, and the physical tools give him a good foundation to build on. He's a player worth keeping an eye on because the upside is there, and he continues to develop.
