Tuesday Takeover: Talented New Prospects to Watch

Welcome back and Happy Tuesday!   Today, we're watching and evaluating five new prospects from around the state who've really impressed us this summer.   We highly recommend you watch these prospects film for yourselves, they're all set up for huge seasons this upcoming fall.    [player_tooltip player_id='2221229' first='Bryan' last='Durodola'] is an explosive WR from Buckhorn who made some huge plays for his team's passing attack last fall.   "Durodola is a shifty WR who plays with great speed and strong hands out wide. He's quick off the line, can burn defenders with his speed and route running, and can haul in passes through heavy traffic and contact, always finding ways to move the ball upfield.   I think Durodola's best trait is his ability to adjust and improvise. He's great at finding ways to get open, especially when his quarterback is under duress, and can always provide a reliable outlet for him to get rid of the ball. When you combine that with his athleticism and hands, it makes him a really tough WR to stop."   Durodola is a talented player with a big senior season ahead of him this upcoming fall. Do yourself a favor and watch some of his film below:      Bramlett Holmes-Travers is another talented player from Buckhorn who impressed us this past season.   "Holmes-Travers is an impressive coverage DB who has a knack for getting his hands on the ball. He's quick, highly reactive, doesn't let guys burn him downfield, and has fantastic timing and ball skills he uses to fly in and break up/pick off passes. It's rare to see an opposing receiver find any sort of success against Holmes-Travers- he's a really tough matchup out wide.   On top of that, Travers plays with a ton of effort and intensity which helps a ton defending the run. He never goes under 100%, and will fly in from the secondary to provide huge hits and stops down near the line of scrimmage, always making his impact felt."   Holmes-Travers has provided a ton of skill and talent to Buckhorn's secondary. See for yourself in his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2221456' first='Carlos' last='Pope'] is a talented interior DL from Clay Chalkville who's been getting some much deserved attention recently.   "Pope is an aggressive and fast defensive linemen who can easily work around blockers to create chaos in the backfield. He explodes off the line, has quick violent hands and a variety of effective rush moves he uses to leave opposing OL in the dust and make his way to the ball carrier.   Pope is especially impressive rushing the passer. He has a high motor, impressive stamina, and plays with awesome effort and closing speed which helps him hunt down the quarterback for pressures and sacks almost every passing down. I really look forward to Pope's senior year, he's a heck of a player."   Pope has a big season ahead on Clay's defensive front. I think they'll be one of the best defenses in the state this fall, in the meantime, be sure to watch some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2221458' first='Chapman' last='Robertson'] is a talented OL from Trinity Presbyterian who's really impressed on his team's front the last two years.   "Robertson is a physical RT who paves the way for much of Trinity's success in the run game. He explodes off the line, plays with impressive bend and power, and has the mobility, motor, and strength to climb from level to level to dish out huge blocks to opposing defenders. It's ridiculous how much space Robertson opens up, he's a huge asset in the run.   Robertson is also productive in pass protection. He does a great job using his size and quickness to his advantage, not letting any pass rushers get by him or affect the pocket. I think we'll be seeing and hearing a ton from Robertson this fall, book it now."   Robertson is a talented lineman who's made life much easier for Trinity's offense. You can easily see it in his film, be sure to take a look at his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='2221465' first='Noah' last='Bowers'] is a talented DB from Baldwin County who's become a key piece of his team's defense in the last few years.   "Bowers is a hybrid FS who lines up and produces all over the field for his team's defense. He's quick on his feet, is great at recognizing plays, and has the pursuit, speed, and physicality to create huge stops all over the field against the run/pass.   I love watching Bowers in coverage. He's incredibly reliable over the top of the secondary and uses his eyes, speed, and hands, to fly around and break up/pick off passes. When you combine that with his tackling and willingness to play the run, it makes him a really complete and dangerous threat for offenses to go up against. Look for him to have a huge season this fall, he's got all the tools to find success."   Bowers is an impressive defender with a huge year ahead.
