SBU Prospect Camp Standouts PT.1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before I begin this article I would like to formally thank coach Paul Hansen and his coaching staff for allowing me to come and scout their prospect camp. He took full advantage of this opportunity and played lights out. Because of the rain there wasn't any forty yard dash timing, but I have no doubt he would run among the fastest in attendance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He was so speedy out there running routes out of the backfield. Griffith is so extremely fast getting in and out of cuts, at times these linebackers had no answers covering Griffith. Justin Criniere started of the camp, at quarterback where he caught my eye immediately showcasing a tight spiral and really good accuracy. Then when the 1on1 portion of the camp started he decided to grab some snaps at wideout. I left Bolivar, Missouri thoroughly impressed with the Alabama prospect. He was one of the stickiest defensive backs in attendance. He loves to get his hands on wide receivers and alter their routes in heavy bump and run concepts. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pennington had really quick feet and he moved effortlessly through individually conducted drills. He has good size at the linebacker position standing at 6'0, 225. Even at that size he moved so well laterally covering the very quick running backs in attendance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Scott knew when to be aggressive in coverage, and when to play with a bit of finesses and let the play almost come to him. You can tell he is a very smart football player that knows where to get in his spot and can make plenty of plays on the ball. Jett Easley walked away with an offer from SBU University last weekend. Easley is regularly in Prep Redzone articles, and how he performed last weekend is exactly why that is. Easley made quick work with almost every corner in attendance.
