Camp Season Road Show: Quarterback Notes from this Spring

This year's event was hosted by Piscataway High School and was, in my experience, their best yet. McDonald, a rising junior, showed that he knows how to transfer his weight and lead off of his front foot. Godfrey did an excellent job leading his receiver on a slant; in fact, I even remarked that he was the one quarterback out of the group that, by-and-large, led any receiver. Going deep was a big part of Godfrey's game too. When going over the top, he had the tendency to place the ball right in the hands on the receiver, allowing them to catch the ball and keep running. To illustrate Godfrey's effectiveness as a quarterback, he did a great job of ball placement - vertically, he placed it between the receiver and the pylon and horizontally he placed it upfield, between two safeties, to lead his receiver upfield. Wallace will be best served to throw to <em>where </em>the receiver will be open, rather than <em>when </em>the receiver is open. Additionally, as his mechanics improve as he ages and his on-target placement will improve.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A prospect who I recorded notes on, but was not on the final roster was in jersey #113. This prospect threw a total boomerang of a ball.
