I have never seen his film before, and I was blown away by it. He is a prototypical quarterback with excellent size (6'2"). In a way, he is a throwback quarterback. He is a quarterback who is happy in the pocket and beating teams with his arm. He has an excellent arm. He can make every throw. The ball comes out of his hands with little effort. His mechanics and footwork are excellent in the pocket. Cherup is an exciting prospect with a bright future.

My junior year highlights!

QB — 6'2” 175 — 2027
179/308 — 2,315 Pass Yds — 21 Tot TD@Henderson_FB @PRZVicCastillo ⁦@EPAFootball⁩ @ChescoGridiron @tdhald @NPCoachZim @nickcionci @zdathletics @iamCoachAbe ⁦@EdOBrienCFB⁩ https://t.co/GX415T05Xr
— [player_tooltip player_id='1939357' first='Jaxon' last='Cherup'] (@JaxonCherup5) November 5, 2025

[player_tooltip player_id='1624101' first='Roman' last='Russek'] is a straight baller as a quarterback for Palmya. His ability to make plays inside and outside the pocket is impressive. Inside the pocket, he does a good job of throwing the ball. His mechanics and footwork are solid. He throws the ball with anticipation and good accuracy. It's when the play breaks down that he excels, though. He does a good job running for tough yards, but he also can scramble around to make plays with his feet. When the play breaks down, he is good at keeping his head up and looking downfield for receivers. Russek is a talented quarterback who can do it all.

Junior season over. 0 offers. 0 interest. He is a physical runner, but also someone who has quickness and burst. Then, as a thrower in the pocket, he has a strong arm. He also knows how to put the perfect amount of touch on the ball when he throws it. He was used a ton as a runner last season, where he showed excellent skills. He was good at reading run plays and then tucking it and running it for good yards. As a runner, he is also a home run hitter. If he gets into the open field, he can score anytime. He also shows a physical running style. Then, as a passer, you see the talent is there. There is much more he could do as a thrower of the football. His mechanics and footwork are solid; he needs to clean up a few areas, and he should be better. I believe in his athleticism, and he should play even better this season.

6'1
190
Qb/ATH
Northampton Area High School
Made the Most of my opportunities this season, Some of my best & favorite highlights from the season. He also shows a good ability to anticipate where and when to throw the ball at a high level. The other area he excels at is subtle movements in the pocket. He does a good job of play-action fakes with the ball and then delivers a good ball to his receivers.
