is an excellent quarterback prospect in the 2027 class. I have never seen his film before, and I was blown away by it. He is a prototypical quarterback with excellent size (6’2″). In a way, he is a throwback quarterback. He is a quarterback who is happy in the pocket and beating teams with his arm. He has an excellent arm. He can make every throw. The ball comes out of his hands with little effort. His mechanics and footwork are excellent in the pocket. Cherup is an exciting prospect with a bright future.

- 6’2, 175 pounds. 1,300 passing yards and 15 total TDs through his mid-season highlights, not counting last two weekends of ball.
- Love seeing the growth out of this Henderson passer. I’ll dive into the positives seen on tape without mentioning anything from his most recent bouts against Coatesville and Bishop Shanahan. Looks comfortbale working out of 11 personnel sets, specifically out of gun formtations. First rep on tape is a beauty, with Cherup flexing his pure arm talent, flicking a ball 40+ yards downfield without much of a hitch or wind-up. Having a QB capable of stretching the field effortlessly provides a serious headache to opposing defensive coordinators, opposing DBs, too. Tight compact release, love how his eyes mirror his feet, this kid is seasoned and should have been ranked on our site months ago. Can rip seam balls between zones 30+ yards downfield with a ton of torque behind balls he throws, again flashing arm talent beyond his District 1 peers. Doesn’t mind a dirty pocket, Cherup trusts both his mechanics, accuracy, and footwork to be bothered. Opposite hash out-breaking routes hit in stride, nasty stuff from a QB i’m going to push hard for moving forward. A ton of early production to be had, too. Exciting stuff here.
