St. Olaf College Prospect Camp: Top Performers and Standouts

UmYahYah! This past Saturday, PRZMN made the easy drive south down Interstate 35W, a drive we personally have made too many times to count, as PRZMN kicked off our 2026 Summer Camp SZN in our old stomping grounds of Northfield and St. Olaf College. Home to the MIAC-competing Oles' football program, St. Olaf College - unanimously considered as one of the prettiest colleges in America (and #1 in MN) - is one of the best liberal arts schools in the United States, and the 50ish prospects that made the trip to Northfield enjoyed a day of personalized, high-quality coaching, a ton of competitive reps, and an easy-going yet competitive atmosphere on the turf of Klein Field at Manitou. PRZMN came away from the event thoroughly impressed, as well as holding a stuffed list and sheet of new names added to our radar, and lucky for our readers, we have the exclusive coverage. LB. 6'1, 210 lbs.    A brand new name to the PrepRedzoneMN radar, Tri-City United's Toren Kelly had a heckuva coming out party at the annual St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. The prep football cooperative of Tri-City United, made up of the towns of Montgomery, Lonsdale, and Le Center, has historically been fertile recruiting territory for the Oles the past decade, and their 2027 linebacker Toren Kelly looked and played like he had the makings to earn some All-Conference down the line as a potential DIII linebacker.   Tested very well during the combine portion of the camp, muscular, physically-developed build, front-of-the-line kid during indy, and a rangy playmaker during competition, which included 1v1 and 7v7 situations. Quick feet, balanced and powerful, and could break down and change direction at top speed. Kelly was also very strong at the contact point, both with his hands and in his punch as well as at the catch point. Impressive coverage ability from the LB spot and soft hands as well. Kelly was a top performer every portion of the St. Olaf Prospect Camp.    MVPs    Representing my alma mater Minneapolis Southwest High School, 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1120562' first='Lincoln' last='Ribnick'] balled out at Saturday's St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Ribnick was outstanding in all three phases of the camp, and owns an overall dynamic and impressive route running skillset that is one of the best in state going into the 2026 season. Violent change of direction ability, comfortability with the entire route tree, as well as with the new routes the St. Olaf staff was installing at the camp, and twitchy at the top of the route, Ribnick was the top performer out of the WR group. Good ball skills and body control, and an awareness of where he was in relation to the sideline and his route running marks also caught our attention. This kid would be an excellent Ole!     One of PRZMN's favorite 2028s in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Cretin-Derham Hall's [player_tooltip player_id='1581337' first='Antonio' last='Barajas'] showed up and showed out at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Despite a lack of varsity reps going into his junior season with the Raiders, Barajas has a TON of verified, green testing data backing up his athletic resume, and his giftedness as a WR prospect was on display impressively in Northfield. A smooth, calculated, and shifty route runner, Barajas had the best hands of the loaded WR group that descended on Northfield, and he made some eye-popping snags throughout the day without a drop seen by the eyes of PRZMN. This kid is poised for a massive, breakout season with CDH this fall, and as a St. Olaf alumnus, I would be absolutely THRILLED if he decided to play for the Oles. Stay on the lookout for this young man this fall.     A rising junior who recently made the move from Maple Grove to Osseo High School, PRZMN is pretty familiar with QB [player_tooltip player_id='1634798' first='Kipton' last='Croatt'], and we always seem to find ourselves impressed after watching the young gunslinger in a camp setting. For his size and age, Croatt can put some serious torque and spin on the rock, and he was rifling the ball into the hands of WRs all throughout the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Croatt has the arm strength to put tougher throws on a rope, and his footwork looked good when scrambling and maneuvering around the pocket. Croatt was also arguably the most accurate of the QB group that descended on Northfield on Saturday, and he was overall slingin' around the pigskin in impressive fashion throughout the prospect camp. Could be a big year for Croatt with the 6A Orioles.     PRZMN is more than comfortable saying that Park of Cottage Grove's [player_tooltip player_id='1877843' first='Leam' last='Hieserich'] is one of the best linemen in Minnesota's 2029 class, especially after his performance on Saturday at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. A brick of an iOL who is already 6'1, 300, and holds it well I should add, Hieserich displayed an excellent pass set from his OG spot and was dominant during 1v1 competition. Great base, heavy hands, and very laterally agile, Hieserich could shut down speed, power, and twitch alike, and his strength post-contact was especially impressive given the size and age. Far bigger, stronger, and more polished than your typical freshman OL, Hieserich is about to make a nice little rise on the upcoming 2029 Ranking's Update. He even earned some fun wins as a 3T when he switched over to defense for a few reps! What a stud the Wolfpack have on their hands.     Holy moly, what a first impression by New London-Spicer lineman Evan Jones. PRZMN will be getting Jones off the Watchlist ASAP, as the 6'1, 250+ lber. was a flat-out dominant, eye-popping, and electric trench warfare specialist at the 2026 St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Violent, active hands, an instinctive, effective ability to counter off OL and their initial punch, and the meanest bull rush in the 507 caught the attention of PRZMN first. Additionally, Jones' ability to push-pull with power put a couple of OL flat on their face in physically dominant fashion, he could run the hoop and flashed a bit of bend, and his hand usage also served him incredibly well on the offensive side of the ball as a guard. Smooth, balanced pass set that could gain depth to handle speed and adjust laterally to overpower twitch, and he was a flat-out beast when he got his hands on a DL, really asserting himself physically and overpowering large competition at the contact point. What a showing and what a OL/DL prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1941228' first='Evan' last='Jones'] is! I'd be thrilled to see this kid stay in the black & gold and play for St. Olaf College at the next level.     The prospect with the highest ceiling of the OL/DL group that descended on St. Olaf College for the Oles annual prospect camp may be 2028 Delano OL [player_tooltip player_id='2152736' first='Brady' last='Martin']. A rising junior with a year of varsity experience already under his belt, Martin has a great frame with noticeable length and a ton of room to fill in and add mass going forward. Comfortable and technically-sound in his pass set, Martin was easily handling rushers of all variety in Northfield, and his standout length and lateral agility were especially impressive when handling quickness from rushers. Lot of good football left in front of this Delano 2028!    Top Performers    One of the top 2030s, yes rising freshmen prospects, in the Great State of Minnesota, Bloomington Jefferson's [player_tooltip player_id='1704052' first='Brevin' last='Tarter'] had a strong coming out party at Saturday's St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Built like a rising senior, Tarter's 6'2, 170ish-pound frame possesses a noticeably large wingspan - regardless of age - and he caught the ball well and displayed an overall big catch radius and some strong hands to boot. Tarter, despite already measuring in at around 6'2, could drop his hips and breakdown well at the top of the route, as well as change direction powerfully and smoothly. Tarter is still growing into his body, but there's not a lot of wasted movement as a route runner and pass catcher, and he was a consistent performer during both indy and competition. You'll be seeing Tarter on the upcoming PRZMN 2030 Watchlist!     Rogers High School's [player_tooltip player_id='1107246' first='Derrick' last='Harris'] is on a tear the past couple months. The dynamic 2027 QB/WR/ATH put together a stock rising performance on Saturday at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp, proving himself to be one of the top performers out of the QB group, coached up by Head Coach James Kilian, one of the best QBs in the University of Tulsa's history. The most mobile and athletic signal-caller in attendance, Harris has great footwork inside and outside the pocket, was impressive when passing off-platform, and was overall accurate to all three levels of the field. He was leading WRs open during competition and displayed good timing and mechanics throughout the high volume of reps. Harris will see his ranking rise this summer!     A new find out of what is looking like a stacked Grand Rapids Thunderhawks 2026 roster, LB Grady Giffen was an athletic and versatile 2027 prospect and a First Team All-Eye Test selection at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. With the size and frame to add significant weight, as well as play earlier than most at the DIII level, Giffen was strong at the point of attack and possessed physical and effective hand usage, and he was dynamic and productive in coverage against RBs out in space. Well-rounded skillset with a high-ceiling in terms of size/frame/athleticism.     Eastview High School has some fun returning pieces looking towards the 2026 fall season in Minnesota, and their LB corps, despite graduating some literal heavy hitters, is looking promising thanks to the likes of 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1882809' first='Oliver' last='Hormann']. With significant 6A experience already under his belt, Hormann put together a stock rising performance in Northfield at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp on Saturday. Showing off a good build that is coming up rapidly on 200 pounds, Hormann looked good during both indy and competition, as he could track, mirror, and close on the hips of ball carriers with ease and drop his hips and change direction smoothly. Hormann was also dynamic in coverage as an off-ball linebacker and was comfortable and effective at staying in phase with RBs on a variety of different routes. He'll see his ranking rise thanks to his St. Olaf College showing!     Another new find from a talented Grand Rapids program that could make some serious noise in 2026, WR Tyler Christofferson was one of the best looking WRs in attendance at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp, and he had the game to back it up as well. With a huge catch radius, long arms, and a great frame to add weight and mass in the coming years and offseasons, Christofferson had arguably the best hands of the WR group. He could elevate, climb the ladder, and generally catch the ball away from his body, and he flashed a solid skillset as a route runner in terms of quickness, ability to pick up on the installed routes and concepts in real time, and overall consistency. Gotta get this kid on the rankings ASAP!     Making the drive all the way up from the Great State of Nebraska, WR [player_tooltip player_id='2138388' first='Canyon' last='Beran'] was a very fun watch at the 2026 St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Despite his small stature, Beran was incredibly twitched up, and he was noticeably athletic as a route runner with the ability to smoothly adjust and play the ball in the air, no matter if it was poorly thrown or not, and he had great hands and a big-time catch radius, especially for his size. Could drop his hips, break down and change direction in a blink and without any wasted movement, and seemed to get better as the morning wore on. I think the Millard West rising senior would be an excellent slot receiver for my Oles. Either way, he made the drive worth it!     A new name out of the 2028 class and Red Wing High School, DL Augden Johnson had a strong showing and a good first impression from the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Johnson flashed a ton of power post-contact, the ability to run the hoop, and counter of OL and their initial strikes and first steps. Johnson, with a brick of a frame for a rising junior, also showed the ability to unlock his hips from the interior of the defensive line. Glad we got some eyes on him in Northfield this past weekend.     Representing my alma mater Minneapolis Southwest High School, two-way lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1634758' first='Everett' last='Carr'] put together a stock rising performance on Saturday at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Carr was strong, effective, and flashy on both sides of the ball as a competitor, and he was especially fun as a DL, where his twitch and effective use of arm-overs earned him some exciting wins from the 3T spot. As an OG, Carr was shutting down rushers once he dropped his hips and set his base, and he did a good job of keeping his hands and feet active as he adjusted to a DL's rush. Would LOVE to see Carr play for the Oles one day soon.    Honorable Mentions    The Centennial Cougars always seem to have some depth, and a new name out of their DL room caught the attention of PRZMN this past Saturday in Northfield at the annual St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. 2027 DL Jayden Wiggins, who measured in at 6'1, 215ish, used his length effectively in 1v1 rushes, displayed a powerful push-pull, and had big hands that he used well at the initial contact point. Good get off as well! I could definitely see Wiggins growing into a high-quality DIII contributor in a few short years.     A 2029 DL who did not play like your typical freshman, Lakeville South's [player_tooltip player_id='1716544' first='Max' last='Mosser'] had a good overall performance at the 2026 St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Coming in at around 5'11, 220 pounds as a rising sophomore, Mosser possesses heavy + active hands, a mean bull rush, and a ton of power, as well as a natural pad level advantage earned Mosser a ton of wins throughout the day of competition, working against a ton of seasoned varsity and upperclassman competition from around the state.     DeLaSalle is still searching for a head coach, but the Islanders are home to a 2027 QB set for a big-time season this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='2128353' first='Fred' last='Thukral'], with a prototypical frame for a pocket passer at the collegiate level, had the best arm of the QB group in attendance, and he could really push the ball downfield with accuracy and pop. Thukral be a great pickup for St. Olaf College who could really get developed and fine-tuned in Northfield with Coach Kilian.     Another PRZMN Showcase product and alumnus, Rochester John Marshall's 2027 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1248727' first='Ben' last='Howard'] made the drive up Highway 52 to compete, and compete well, at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Howard was one of the fastest LBs in attendance, with notable closing speed and an impressive ability to breakdown and change direction in space while tracking and pursuing the ball carrier.     The potential hometown hero in Northfield rising senior WR Lincoln Wilson has bumped himself off the PRZMN Watchlist thanks to his performance at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. A fun watch during both indy and competition, Wilson displayed explosive burst as a route runner, particularly in his releases at the LOS, and he was playing like potentially the fastest WR of the loaded group that descended on Klein Field at Manitou for the camp. Twitched up in and out of his breaks, good hands, and vertical speed to boot, I'd be on the lookout for Wilson in 2026 as a potential breakout producer for the Raiders and their WR room.     Representing New London-Spicer, a Greater Minnesota football program that has been an awesome feeder into the MIAC and DIII football ranks of the state, WR [player_tooltip player_id='2128345' first='Brecken' last='Westby'] has bumped himself off the PRZMN Watchlist thanks to his performance at Saturday's St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Good frame, consistent, front-of-the-line leader and competitor, and was noticeably quick in and out of his breaks as route runner and separator. Should be a big summer and 2026 senior campaign for this up-and-coming NLS Wildcat.     Rising senior WR [player_tooltip player_id='2164947' first='Connor' last='Posterick'] did a good job of representing his Little Falls program on Saturday at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. The wideout got better as the morning wore on, and he was impressing WR coach Tony Barnack thanks to his length, quickness, and overall route running ability. Posterick was accelerating out of his breaks with noticeable effectiveness, and he had a good showing in all three phases of the camp, including 1v1 and 7v7 competition and reps. We'll be getting this kid on the Big Board ASAP.     A current freshman out of Oakdale and the Tartan Titans prep football program, Stark was throwing a good ball at Saturday's St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. Consistent, accurate, and good mechanics, there was definitely arm talent present, but as it comes with a lot of young bucks, Mother Nature and physical maturation will be key in this 2029 QB's development going forward. Either way though, good showing in Northfield at the Oles' Prospect Camp.     A new name to the PRZMN radar out of South St. Paul, 2027 RB Matthew Jackson has a good frame and some noticeable build going into his senior season with the Packers, and he showed off a versatile and dynamic skillset on Saturday at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp, looking comfortable and effective as a route runner, strong as a blocker, and light on his feet during drill work and indy.     Representing the city of Mankato and the Mankato East Cougars, 2028 DL [player_tooltip player_id='2168839' first='Julian' last='McCabe'] had an impressive bag of tools as a pass rusher, flashing twitch, a good get-off, play speed, and the ever-present threat of his effective spin move helped McCabe earn wins against the best OL competition the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp had to offer. Should be a huge season for McCabe in 2026 as a junior.     Strong kid out of Red Wing who could drop his anchor and hold up against powerful bull rushes and power moves from oncoming DL. New name to the PRZMN radar as well!     An iOL from the 5A Raiders, 2027 Charlie Colvin had a good first impression to PRZMN at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp. With a smooth, strong, and effective pass set, Colvin was flexible, and he could drop his hips and absorb and redistribute power post-contact from his OG position. Light feet and didn't mind playing with physicality as well! Good new OL name to get on the 2027 PRZMN Ranking's Big Board.     Another new 2027 OL name to add to the PRZMN radar, St. Cloud Apollo's Michael Bueckers had a strong performance at the St. Olaf College Prospect Camp in Northfield this past weekend. Light on his feet, able to play OT, OG, and even DL, where he earned wins thanks to his strength, get-off, and effective bull rush, Bueckers was light on his feet as an OL, nimble, and able to adjust laterally to cut off a rush and make the DL play a whole man. Bueckers, over the course of his body of work, proved himself to be a quality DIII prospect and one who would be an especially impressive Ole in a couple years.     A massive, eye-catching OT out of the 2029 who is currently on "Must Know" status thanks to his verified 6'6, 240+ pound frame and performance at this spring's PRZMN Showcase. Providence Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2163452' first='Dexter' last='Seelen'] also put together a good showing at Saturday's St. Olaf College Prospect Camp in Northfield, competing, and winning, on both sides of the ball as an OT and DE. Seelen, with his overwhelming length, showed some bend, ability to challenge OT's to their outside shoulder, and twitch when crossing face of OTs. Already has a rare build, frame, and athletic gifts, it's easy to see why Seelen has one of the highest ceilings in MN's underclassmen OL ranks. Stay tuned!    --
