With spring practices and college days under way, college camps looming large, and the upcoming fall season right around the corner, we are taking a look ahead at some under-the-radar prospects who plan to make a name for themselves over the next few months. Here are four standouts who pop on film and have picked up some of their first offers this week.

I love linebackers who play with a chip on their shoulder, and Kirkland Class of 2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='2211774' first='Zander' last='Perko'] certainly does. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound linebacker displays great range, pursuit, instincts and a high motor. Perko can chase down ballcarriers, wrap up and make big-time tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Has great instincts and flows to the ball, very good downhill hitter with good closing speed. Pick up his first offer from Baldwin Wallace.

Gannon offered Anderson two-way prospect Tyson Weaver this morning, his second offer after earning an opportunity from Towson last March. Weaver is coming off a strong junior year where he had 91 receptions for 1,375 yards and 20 touchdowns. He is very good after the catch, weaving his way through traffic and making defenders miss. Weaver has good speed over the middle of the field and enough top-end to win in a footrace. He is also dynamic as a kick returner, flashing elite vision and solid change-of-direction. Two sport, high-academic prospect.

Luke McGovern from Aurora has held an offer from Army since February, but his most-recent offer from Tennessee-Martin was his first in quite some time. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Class of 2027 wide receiver and defensive back, who is also a high-academic prospect, is very good after the catch and has a nice bend of size and speed. McGovern displays soft hands, he has great vision and patience to follow blocks, and enough top-end juice to be a home-run threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='2160607' first='Malachi' last='Cook'] does not have much tape yet, so a further evaluation is needed before we rank him, but the 6-foot-1, 175-pound cornerback in the Class of 2028 flashes the skills in coverage to be a legitimate Division I target. He also flashes some ability to thump, force fumbles and flip the field. Cook picked up his first offer from Austin Peay.
