Northwest Showcase: Oregon, Washington quarterbacks to watch

The Northwest Showcase kicks off next week at Western Oregon University and features some of the top signal-callers in the region.   Below is a list of every quarterback confirmed to have signed up (as of a few days ago).   Here's a look at the entire list of competitions, as well as some thoughts on the top Oregon and Washington passers.   Just by making this list, these Northwest quarterbacks have put themselves out there for evaluation, which is a big (and noble) step.   Don't know much about you yet? That should change at Western Oregon, when these prospects take center stage. List is alphabetical by first name   Adrian Tamayo (Folsom, CA) 2029 —    Ali'iota Tufaga (Kamehameha, HI) —   [player_tooltip player_id='937183' first='Aris' last='Dimick'] (Tigard, OR); 2027— The 6-foot-4, 205-pound signal-caller has flashed plenty of promise in pads and on the camp circuit in the past year.   Dimick still oozes potential, but needs to be a little more consistent mechanically to really take off.   This is a big camp for him, as he's hearing from several Big Sky programs and could see a major offer come through with a strong day.   Ayden McClendon (Edison, CA); 2029 —    Baylor Stutzmann (Valley Christian, CA); 2028 —    Ben Marvel (Lowry, NV); 2028 —    [player_tooltip player_id='1605392' first='Ben' last='Druckman'] (Camas, WA); 2027 — The 6-foot-4, 190-pound signal-caller is getting private quarterback instruction and has made some major strides of late.    Given his frame and work ethic - he's a 4.2 GPA student - he's worth keeping an eye on.   [player_tooltip player_id='1613160' first='Brady' last='Bonnell'] (Tahoma; WA) ; 2028 — The 6-foot-1, 206-pound signal-caller will be in the thick of the QB MVP race at the camp.   He holds an offer from Idaho and continues to see his stock rise seemingly with every appearance he makes in front of college coaches.    Braylon Johnson (Saint Bernards Academy, CA); 2027 —   Briar Buaghman (Middleton, ID); 2027 —    Bronson Monticelli (North Valley, NV); 2029 —    [player_tooltip player_id='2106058' first='Cal' last='Johnson'] (Vale, OR); 2028 —A first/second-team all-state selection on both sides of the bal, Johnson hasn't had a lot of exposure so it will be fascinating to see what he'll do against elite competition.    There's some quiet buzz that could get a lot louder.    Cameron Pereira (San Pasqual, CA); 2027 —    Cameron Anderson (Silverton, OR); 2030 — A young, budding quarterback from Silverton, Anderson will get some early exposure at The Northwest Showcase.   It will be intriguing to see him compete against top-end talent.    Carlos Patino (West Seattle, WA); 2028 — A young, emerging quarterback, Patino should take some major strides in the next year.   That could begin at The Northwest Showcase.    Carson Murphy (Folsom, CA); 2028 —    Carter Vose III (Windsor, CA); 2027 —    Chase Case (Bullard, CA); 2029 —    Cohen Curran (Cavalres, CA). 2027 —    [player_tooltip player_id='1750393' first='Cole' last='Burton'] (Wilsonville, OR); 2028 — Wilsonville has churned out more than its share of top quarterbacks, and Burton could be the next man up.    [player_tooltip player_id='1557975' first='Colten' last='Reid'] (Auburn Riverside; WA); 2029 — The 5-foot-11, 170-pound signal-caller is beginning to generate significant buzz.    Reid is a player I keep hearing about so I'm eager to see him in person for a more detailed evaluation.   He's done an excellent job for Ford Sports Performance this offseason so far.   Colton Ridgley (Ponderosa, CA); 2027 —    Dane Kekoa Keau-Davis (Kamehameha; HI); 2028 —   Derek Backman (Pinecrest Academy, NV); 2029 —   [player_tooltip player_id='1550179' first='Desmond' last='Parkinson'] (West Seattle, WA); 2027 —After a solid junior campaign, Parkinson hits the camp circuit hoping to generate some recruiting buzz.   He's a player to watch at Western Oregon.    Donnovan Porter (Centennial, NV); 2029 —   Drayden White (Glencoe, OR); 2030 — Glencoe has been the spot for 2,000-yard running backs in recent years, but White could change that if he lives up to his potential as a passer.   Like any 2030 in this camp, it's always fascinating to see how close they've come to the varsity level in a high-end camp setting.    Easton Nungaray (Meridian, ID); 2028 —   [player_tooltip player_id='2142262' first='Eli' last='Downing'] (Olympia, WA); 2029 — A young, talented quarterback dedicated to his craft and the classroom (4.0 GPA), Downing is just starting his recruiting journey.   And like any young quarterback, the Northwest Showcase should give us a clear picture at where he's at in his development.   He's an intriguing 2029 passer.    [player_tooltip player_id='1114410' first='Emmett' last='Osterdock'] (Chiawana, WA); 2027 —The 6-foot, 175-pound signal-caller threw some impressive deep balls down the sideline last fall.   He also showed a willingness to hit his receivers over the middle in traffic.   [player_tooltip player_id='1257695' first='Emmit' last='Distefano'] (Thurston, OR); 2027 — Fresh off a Prep Redzone Exposure Series MVP, the 6-foot, 200-pound signal-caller is a returning second-team all-state selection.   Distefano has an impressive arm and showcased that with 2,081 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and three interceptions.    Ethan Havens (College Park, CA); 2027 —   [player_tooltip player_id='1078484' first='Ethan' last='Wylam'] (Sprague, OR); 2028 — Last year, Wylam threw for 848 yards and 12 touchdowns with an additional 223 yards on the ground.   In recent years, Salem talent has been challenged in the state playoffs.   Wylam has a golden opportunity to buck thet trend at the NW Showcase.    [player_tooltip player_id='2178861' first='Gage' last='Creasey'] (Grant, OR); 2028 — Creasey was a PIL all-league selection last year, and has drawn praise from within the program.   The 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback/baseball player is emerging as an intriguing passer with some upside.    Grayson Perry (Joseph Gregori, CA); 2030   Hawkin Rasmussen (Spanish Fork, UT); 2029 —    Henry Woodward (Summit, OR); 2029 —Summit has churned out quite a few great athletes in recent years.   Woodward will get his first big-time exposure at this camp, and I'm fascinated to see more from him.    Hunter Schmittel (Ridgevue, ID); 2027 —    Jace Bellcoff (Prairie, WA); 2028 — Bellcoff has no listed statistics or Hudl film, but the camp gives every player a chance to have an “arrival” moment.   He's hoping for his this weekend.    [player_tooltip player_id='860650' first='Jack' last='Wilson'] (Jesuit, OR); 2027 — Jesuit has been known for running the football for years, but get a change at the top with a new head coach.    The 6-foot-2, 170-pound signal-caller may finally get to fully showcase his arm.   There's significant upside and potential in his arm and frame, but he needs to be more consistent mechanically to fully tap into that ceiling.    Jackson Rhode (Rancho Cotate, CA); 2027 —   Jacob Vincent (Highland, ID); 2027 —    Jacob Devereaux (Brookings Harbor, OR); 2028 — It's rare for the PRZ guys to be unfamiliar with a player, but Devereaux will get his first shot at making an impression over the weekend.   So far, he shows no MaxPreps stats or Hudl film.    But he'll make a statement - in some form - at Western Oregon.    James Monaghan IV (Mater Academy, NV); 2027 —    [player_tooltip player_id='937309' first='Jason' last='Kwasnik'] (Aloha, OR); 2027 — As a junior, Kwasnik threw for 1,728 yards and 16 touchdowns with 4 interceptions.    Jayden Delos Santos (James Campbell, HI); 2028 —    JC Harris (Nevada Union, CA); 2027 —    Jericho Lake (Siuslaw, OR); 2028 — Lake is a multi-sport athlete and led his team to a 3A Special District 4 championship.    [player_tooltip player_id='796694' first='Jordan' last='Rossetta'] (Grants Pass, OR); 2027 — An intriguing 6-foot-5, 200-pound signal-caller who has grabbed college coaches' interest with his size.   The two-time first-team all-league and all-state selection should be ready for a big senior campaign, and that - paired with a big camp season - could elevate his recruitment.    Josiah Hutchinson (C.K. McClatchy, CA); 2027 —    [player_tooltip player_id='2056041' first='Jude' last='Buck'] (Cleveland, OR); 2029 — An all-league selection as a freshman, Buck has been working with a couple of quarterback coaches and made some major strides.   He ran a 4.66 40 and is still getting faster.   Make no mistake, Buck is worth keeping an eye on, which you don't hear about Cleveland athletes in recent years.   Credit to them and Buck.    [player_tooltip player_id='2105974' first='Kai' last='Boatsman'] (Sherwood, OR); 2028 — Boatsman played in 5 games during his sophomore season.   He finished with 532 passing yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.    The 6-foot-5, 190-pound signal-caller should have a breakout season this fall.    Kamakoa Green-Matution (Moanalua,HI); 2029 —   Tyson Vanee (Shorewood, WA); 2027 —   [player_tooltip player_id='1564852' first='Landon' last='Benner'] (Nelson, OR); 2029 — Benner, a 4.0 GPA student, has been working hard and making major strides.   Nelson is on the rise, and any quarterback who is a starter in the program should generate some buzz.   [player_tooltip player_id='1188132' first='Leo' last='Harnetiaux'] (Seattle Prep, WA): 2027 — The 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal-caller was a first-team all-Metro selection, accumulating 2,041 yards, 24 touchdowns and just five interceptions.   He's got the size and statistics to be an intriguing camper.   We'll find out how he stacks up against elite competition soon.    [player_tooltip player_id='2215714' first='Liam' last='Wheir'] (Mountain View, OR); 2027 — A football/lacrosse player with a 4.3 GPA, Wheir was ready to breakout but suffered a medical issue and missed nearly his entire junior season.   He may be a late bloomer worth watching.    [player_tooltip player_id='2154114' first='Lincoln' last='Heinrich'] (Walla Walla, WA); 2028 — A player who has a chance to earn QB MVP honors in his session, Heinrich is a 6-foot, 180-pound signal-caller who played well as a sophomore but must limit turnovers.   He threw for 1,893 yards with 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.    [player_tooltip player_id='1614894' first='Lincoln' last='Keeney'] (Tualatin, OR); 2028 — This fall, Keeney could emerge as the starter for one of the best high school football programs in the state of Oregon.    It's a battle, but Keeney has plenty of potential.   The 6-foot-4, 215-pound signal-caller threw 4 touchdowns with no interceptions in five quarterback of back-up duties.    Madden Norslien (Fergus, MT); 2028 —   [player_tooltip player_id='1161283' first='Madden' last='Hughes'] (Stayton, OR); 2028 — A second-team all-league selection last fall, Hughes threw for 975 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions and an additional 172 yards and 7 touchdowns rushing.    Madoxx Martinez (Harper Charter, OR); 2027 —    [player_tooltip player_id='1660165' first='Marlan' last='McCowan'] (Roosevelt, OR); 2027 — A player who throws a nice ball, McCowan has a chance to surprise some people at the camp with his accuracy.    Mason Durao (Joseph A. Gregori, CA); 2027 —    Matthew Hein (Elgin Park Secondary, Canada); 2027 —    Memphis Baker (Campbell, HI); 2027   [player_tooltip player_id='1940672' first='Micaiah' last='Turin'] (Sandy, OR); 2027 — A quarterback and javelin thrower in track, Turin clearly has a talented arm.   He'll put that on display at Western Oregon.    He battled injuries last fall, but could have a better year this fall.    Miles Keener (Kentlake, WA); 2029 — A young rising quarterback prospect, Keener will get a chance to make an impression.   Nicholas Johnson (Oak Ridge, CA); 2027 —    Nicholas Murgatroyd (GP Vanier, Canada); 2028 —    [player_tooltip player_id='2107842' first='Nick' last='Dillon'] (Lincoln, OR); 2029 — Dillon is putting a lot of time and work to improve his craft and could earn the starting job at Lincoln this fall.   There's a real battle there, but if he can come out on top it will be fascinating to see what he can do on a program that should win a league title based on its skill position standouts.   [player_tooltip player_id='1612593' first='Nicoya' last='Pruess'] (Marshfield, OR); 2028 — An intriguing athlete who put up stellar numbers last fall - 1,000 passing yards, 500 rushing yards, 19 passing touchdowns, 8 rushing touchdowns.   It will be interesting to see how he does against elite competition.     [player_tooltip player_id='1611487' first='Nolan' last='Wolfe'] (Glencoe, OR); 2028 — Glencoe has some real talent, and is an underrated program in terms of the guys the program produces.   Wolfe is a quarterback worth watching.   He could emerge as a central figure for the program going forward.    Owen Weaver (Westview, OR); 2029 — Westview has produced some good quarterbacks, and Weaver is a young talent who I'm interested to see in person for the first time.    Owen Olsson-0'Neill (Lincoln, OR); 2027 — Lincoln has a serious quarterback battle brewing between multiple athletes.   Olsson-O'Neil is a football/track athlete who measures in at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds.    Paiden Daihaug (Highland, AZ); 2027 —   Preston Wright (Benicia, CA); 2028 —    [player_tooltip player_id='1708655' first='Reese' last='Johnson'] (Klamath Union, OR); 2027 — A second-team all-league selection, Johnson threw for 2,391 yards and 22 touchdowns.    Ryder De Silva (Kamehameha School, HI); 2029 —    Ryder Dobbs (Foothill, NV); 2028 —    [player_tooltip player_id='937340' first='Ryder' last='Lemm'] (Lake Oswego, OR); 2027 — A first-team all-league infielder who had to wait his turn behind Iowa State quarterback signee Hudson Kurland, Lemm could lead a Lakers squad that could still be in the hunt for a state title after winning last fall.    Sam Schacher (Astoria, OR); 2027 — Schacher had a big year through the air and on the ground and put up some solid numbers.    Selby Griego Jr. (Liberty, NV); 2027 —    Spencer Coey (Vancouver College, Canada); 2029 —    Taiki Kawamura (Salem Academy, OR); 2028 —The 6-foot-2, 195-pound signal-caller from Japan remains an unknown, but will have a chance to change that this fall.    Tanner Stern (Coeur d'Alene, ID); 2027 —    Tavin Irvine (Sioux City, IA); 2028 —   Tavio Rios (Grant Union, CA); 2028 —    Trent Lux (Great Oak, CA); 2028 —    [player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos'] (Wilsonville, OR); 2027 — The NWOC Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-state selection, Glos threw for 2,750 yards and 40 touchdowns, completing 70 percent of his passes in the process.   Glos could pop the camp circuit this summer and dramatically improve his stock.   He's an intriguing player.    Tucker Free (West Salem, OR); 2028 — A football/lacrosse athlete, Free comes from a West Salem program has that produced a ton of good quarterbacks in the past few decades.    Tylan Isaia (Murrieta Valley, CA); 2028 —    Tyler Gines-Hufana (Moanalua, HI); 2027   William Pedersen (St. Vincent de Paul, CA); 2027 —    Zane Nunez (Vista Murrieta, CA); 2029 —    [player_tooltip player_id='904208' first='Zeke' last='Thomas'] (Willamette, OR); 2028 — The top quarterback prospect in Oregon regardless of class, Thomas is committed to the Boise state Broncos and has put up staggering numbers early in his career.   The 6-foot, 188-pound signal-caller threw for 2,652 yards and 32 touchdowns with just 5 interceptions, as well as 370 rushing yards and 3 scores.    Ziven Tamiano (Everett Alvarez, CA); 2028 —   Zyiera Carter-Moore (Clayton Valley, CA); 2027 —
