The Stage Collegiate Showcase took place at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL on Tuesday evening, drawing a quality group of regional talent with college coaches in attendance. Prospects measured in, ran through combine testing in the 40, pro shuttle, and broad jump. The entire event was outdoors on a turf surface with ambient temperatures beginning at 55 and dropping to 47 by the time the event ended. Testing was conducted through a short breeze creating a wind chill factor. Below was the best of the quarterback group, the deepest group of athletes at the event.

Carter clearly had been hitting the weights this offseason, showing up tipping the scales at 200 pounds, 10 pounds heavier than the last time we saw him throw in January. In testing, Carter opted out of the 40 but recorded a 4.31 pro shuttle and 8'8 broad jump. The arm looked strong, the delivery controlled and fluid, the release quick, and as noted earlier this offseason, Carter's deep ball is a thing of beauty. He was throwing darts and continues to grow and develop into a bonafide Division I product.

This is the first opportunity to catch the rising senior live after previously having familiarity of him through film study from last season. Ogi measured in at 6004 197, opted out of testing but his athletic ability is evident on tape. Ogi is a quarterback that is mobile in the pocket, has some elusivity, and when the play breaks down he can make something happen. As a passer he is smooth and polished. His overall delivery is rapid and the ball fires out of his release. He has the ability to spray the ball all over the field with velo and accuracy.

NOTABLE COMPETITORS

[player_tooltip player_id='2131381' first='Brady' last='Cloherty'] | Mount Carmel | 2027

The familiarity with Cloherty runs deep with the ability to have watched him grow and develop over the past four years as he continuously attended events like The Stage. Cloherty ran 5.22x40, 5.10 pro shuttle, 7'2 broad jump. His passing ability has been his calling card, showing good mechanics for years, and as he's matured and gotten stronger, his ball has gotten more refined. The offensive MVP for Plainfield East in 2025 is surely looking forward to running the show for the Caravan this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205085' first='Gavin' last='Gardiner'] | St. Patrick's | 2027

The first look at Gardiner left a positive impression on the rising senior. Measuring in at 6050 185, Gardiner had one of the good looking frames amongst the group. Athletically he tested 5.16x40, 4.87 pro shuttle, 8'3.5 broad jump. His holster is high breast plate, he has a bit of a cock and release delivery, and he flashed plenty of arm strength sending the football. He showed pocket mobility and has a nice developmental future.

[player_tooltip player_id='293299' first='Dylan' last='Gore'] | Andrean (IN) | 2028

Gore certainly made his case for top quarterback at this event. The IHSAA Class 2A State Champion quarterback measured in at 5110 158, tested 5.10x40, 4.37 pro shuttle, 7'6 broad jump. Gore has about a three quarter release and puts very good spin on the football. He displayed good mobility and the accuracy expected out of a young productive signal caller that will be one of Indiana's best.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205100' first='Tremaine' last='Ford'] | King College Prep | 2028

"TJ" Ford came with a busload of his teammates, who all performed very well within their position groups. Ford measured in a lanky 6050 170 and ran 4.88x40, 4.67 pro shuttle, 8'10 broad jump, and looked like one of the best overall athletes within the group. Ford has a bit of a sligshot delivery but can put some good steam on the football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2205084' first='Mason' last='Fort'] | Glenbard South | 2028

Fort rolled through with a good looking frame at 6030 203, and tested 5.12x40, 4.50 pro shuttle, 8'1 broad jump. Fort is another one of those consistent competitors and performers at these types of events in Chicagoland. He delivers the ball well. The rotation is short, the spin is good, he can place the ball on target, and has some good arm strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2144978' first='Elijah' last='James-Washington'] | Dyett | 2028

EJW measured and tested well. On the hoof, he stands at 6010 162, clearly long and lanky. Through the combine testing he recorded 4.75x40, 4.40 pro shuttle, 8'9 broad jump. EJW went through drills at quarterback and was very raw with his technique. They way he is able to move around the field however, he likely gains attention as a projection to another position at the next level. There's always room for long and athletic.

[player_tooltip player_id='2130223' first='Bowie' last='Richmond'] | Lincoln Way East | 2029

Richmond showed up at 6020 171, very good size for the rising sophomore, and tested very well at 4.94x40, 4.53 pro shuttle and 8'11 broad jump. Athletically, his mobility at his age is impressive and his refinement in his throwing ability got attention as well. He throws with force on the run, looked smooth in pocket mobility drills keeping his head downfield, and delivers the deep ball with touch and accuracy. His growth and development is something to watch moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2152421' first='Roman' last='Sroka'] | (high school to be determined) | 2031

The youngest prospect at the event was the rising 8th grader Sroka. He measured in at 6010 153, ran 5.25x40, 4.78 pro shuttle, 7'10 broad jump, very respectable numbers for his age. He threw the ball well and will be one to watch. He will be competing in the Prep Redzone Who's Next Exposure Camp tomorrow afternoon. Look out for more on Sroka.
