2028 Rankings: Quarterback Evaluations

The new 2028 rankings are officially released. And with over 100 new players, and multiple players positions changing, and new additions to the top five at each position. In this article, we take a look at every QB Ranked in the 2028 Class, including their grades and evaluations.   The Summer Reigonal Exposure Showcases are back, and New York has one on May 23rd. He holds multiple D1 Offers from Duke, Temple, and Wagner. Was an Elite 11 Invite in April.    Size: Standing at 6'2" 205-Pounds he displays an exceptional frame for the position. He showcases a strong build and utilizes it throughout his game. He is a true Dual-Threat QB   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Moye has excellent accuracy and can hit his players through all three levels of the field, and in stride. He allows his pass catchers to be put in an excellent position to make catches and delivers good balls through contact, and crowded pockets.    Footwork: Moye has solid footwork which continues to improve through his High School Career. Outside of the pocket he is excellent throwing the ball, and showcases excellent footwork. He can continue to improve inside the tackle box to ensure accuracy.    Mechanics: Moye easily has the prettiest mechanics of any QB in the state in the 2028 Class. He showcases a quick release and gets the ball out fast. His balls are pure perfect spirals. His mechanics set him above the rest easily.   IQ: Moye has an excellent IQ. He can read a defense with ease, and showcases the ability to make the correct read. His pocket presence is excellent and he moves around well avoiding sacks and keeping plays alive. He makes minimal mistakes, and takes care of the ball.   Final Word: Moye is an exceptional QB, who is easily the top in the state. He has excellent mechanics and throws a strong ball with good accuracy. I like his IQ, and he showcases a good understanding of a defense and takes care of the ball. He should look to continue working on his footwork, and perfect his accuracy as he moves forward.     Background: Jackson will likely be a first year starter for the defending CHSFL champions. He is a raw QB with a ton of promise, and took limited reps last year mainly in garbage time.    Size: Standing at 6'2" 185-Pounds, he has a solid but undersized frame for a QB. He is a dual threat style playmaker, who should look to reach the 195-200 pound mark throughout High School.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Jackson showcases solid accuracy and the ability to throw the ball into tight windows. He can reach all three levels of the field and does so accurately. Both strength and accuracy can continue to improve.   Footwork: His footwork is excellent, and I like his ability to use his legs to escape the pocket. Throws on the run he showcases good footwork, and delivers accurate balls. Footwork is one of his best traits.    Mechanics: Mechanics are a work in progress of Jackson, and something I see improving with more reps this season. His accuracy has improved due to his continued work in this aspect, and I think it will continue to help him improve at the Position.   IQ: He is a smart player and is excellent with RPO, and Option schemes. I like his ability to take care of the ball and move around the pocket to avoid pressure. Smart player who can win with his brain.   Final Word: Jackson is a raw but promising QB who can easily play at the next level. He should work on his accuracy and mechanics going forward, and continue to use his footwork and IQ, for his game, as they set him apart from most QB's.     Background: Senat once again sits as the third best QB in the class, and has led Kennedy Campus the past two seasons. Solid consistent starter who has brought Quality football to the Bronx.   Size: Senat stands at 5'10" 200-Pounds, which is an excellent frame for him as a Dual-Threat QB. Idealy he should be 5'11, but that is out of his control.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Senat has a strong arm, and can launch the ball to the hills. He has solid accuracy, and can lead his receivers open but sometimes struggles to get the perfect touch on the ball.    Footwork: He showcases solid footwork and utilizes it towards the run game. He is a quick athlete, who uses his legs to get set, allowing him to launch the ball downfield.    Mechanics: His mechanics are excellent, and he has a smooth pure release that makes the ball come out effortlessly. On throws down field he showcases a good touch on his throws. His mechanics are easily a strong suit for the Kennedy QB.   IQ: His IQ is excellent and I like his ability to progress through his reads and move the ball downfield. He can take risks at times with his throws, but takes care of the ball, and limits turnovers.    Final Word: Senat is a unique talent who has exceptional legs, and is elite as a ball carrier. He also showcases a strong arm, allowing him to take over any game, especially with his elite IQ. He can look to improve his arm accuracy, as he can be inaccurate at times, but overall he is a promising QB, who is an elite threat in the PSAL.     Background: Dual way player who played Safety and QB throughout High School. He is a true dual threat, hailing from upstate NY.   Size: Standing at 6'2" 200-Pounds, Reid has excellent size for the QB Position. Adding weight in the form of muscle is optional to fill out his build, but his size is ideal for a QB.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Accuracy is one of his strong suits, as we see him deliver the ball on the money. Arm strength is also a strong suit, as while there are not many deep throws, he is capable of hitting all hashmarks off the field whether inside or outside the pocket.    Footwork: His footwork is solid, and leaves room for improvement. He showcases improving footwork, and has the ability to showcase good balls while moving outside the pocket.    Mechanics: His mechanics are solid and he can deliver good strikes with excellent touch. He can work on speeding up his release, but his mechanics are excellent other than that, and he uses them to deliver the ball with different angles, and outside/inside the pocket.    IQ: His IQ, is evident through his tape, and I see him moving through his reads well, and extending the play with his legs. He also can keep plays alive, and extend drives with his arm and legs.   Final Word: Reid is a QB I enjoy watching. His dual threat style, wins games, and makes him a tough to stop QB. He should look to improve his accuracy and let the ball go, to show off his arm. His footwork can improve but is not a major need. Overall, Reid is an excellent dual threat QB, going underrated in WNY.     Background: Diieso was a first year breakout starter for the Friars, and led his squad to the CHSFL Semi-Finals. He was an excellent dual threat QB, who made his presence known as a top QB across the league.    Size: Diieso is a bit undersized for the QB position, but is making strides to reach his ideal frame. Standing at 5'10" 175-Pounds, he should look to reach the 185-195-Pound mark to fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Diieso is excellent with the ball in his hands, and does well tossing it down field, and can hit all three levels with ease. His accuracy is exceptional, and the ball nails the target on a majority of his throws with ease.    Footwork: Diieso showcases solid footwork, and moves around the pocket with ease. His accuracy and strength come out due to his good footwork. I like his consistency with footwork and it allows him to constantly make good throws.    Mechanics: His mechanics are pure, and while his release speed can be quicker, he showcases good touch on his balls, and gets the ball out well. He throws good spirals, and makes the ball easy to catch for his playmakers.   IQ: His IQ is excellent. He moves through the pocket well, and takes care of the ball avoiding fumbles. As a ball carrier he protects the ball and limits mistakes. He moves through his progressions well as well, and finds his receivers for big gains.    Final Word: Diieso is a rising QB, who made a big impact for a talented roster in 2025. His footwork, is exceptional, and his ability to move through his progressions is elite. Diieso can work on tweaking his skills, and reaching his ideal frame. Overall an elite QB, I can see rise in rankings.     Background: The Catholic League prospect has flown under the radar throughout his High School Career, but I expect big things from the Dual Threat Prospect for Kellenberg this season.    Size: Farrelly, stands at 6'1" 160-Pounds, and displays a slim build for a QB. His height falls in the middle of the chart, but his weight is under, and he should look to reach 180-190-Pounds to help fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Farrelly is a true gunslinger, and has an outstanding arm for a QB prospect. He can make off balance throws, and showcases good accuracy leading his players downfield for catches. Accuracy can be improved a bit to ensure big plays.    Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork is exceptional, and Farrelly moves well outside the pocket, showcasing good footwork and power with his throws. He has a quick release, paired with good touch. A nice tight spiral is what we see from Farrelly while throwing the ball.    IQ: His IQ, is evident on his film, as he showcases a good understanding of coverages, along with the ability to launch the ball to open receivers. He keeps the ball clean, and stands tall in the pocket delivering throws, while showing the ability to move around and create plays with his legs.    Final Word: Farrelly is an outstanding QB, you should have your eyes on. He showcases good mechanics, and has the ability to slice through a defense. He should work on his accuracy and arm strength moving forward, along with filling out his frame, as he progress through High School.     Background: Bialaszewski took over at the helm for Brighton, leading them to the Class A Championship game. The Sophomore QB has a bright future ahead of him after one year of starting.    Size: Standing at 6'1" 180-Pounds, he showcases a solid build for a QB. Bisalaszewski can look to fill out his frame and reach the 185-195-Pound mark, but is solid for the position.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: He showcases an elite arm, and can launch the ball downfield with ease. His accuracy is on point with his throws as well, and he leads his receivers with his throws.   Footwork: He showcases good footwork, and on his tape he moves through the pocket well, keeping his feet planted and moving, allowing him to deliver accurate strikes.    Mechanics: His mechanics are exceptional as well, and his ability to get the ball out quickly allows him to throw the ball into tight windows across the field. He can look to add some more tweaking, but he showcases polished mechanics.    IQ: Bialaszewski showcases an elite IQ, allowing him to make the correct read, as he moves through his progressions on his throws. I like his ability to push the ball downfield, and use his legs to escape pressure or create plays with the ball.    Final Word: Bialaszeski, is an excellent new QB, who came on our radar this season. He showcases a high IQ, along with elite accuracy. He should look to fine tweak all his skills, and meet his ideal frame going forward.     Background: Misla started his career with FJM, and won the PSAL last season at QB. For this upcoming season, the talented QB will be heading to Lincoln. Misla will join a loaded QB room at Lincoln.   Size: Standing at 5'10" 165-Pounds, Misla displays a solid frame for a QB. He can look to add more good weight to fill out his frame, and I believe 175-185 is his ideal frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Misla has a strong arm, and can hit all three levels of the field. I like his ability to hit both hashmarks, and fit the ball into tight windows. His accuracy is amazing as he can hit receivers in stride, allowing plays to be extended. Misla can fine tweak both for improvement going forward.    Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork is solid, and he understands a three-step drop, and can efficiency se it throughout the game. He doesn't plant his feet, and stays moving allowing him to get the most out of his throws, but also affect accuracy. He has solid mechanics, and delivers the ball quickly and on the money. He should look to improve his arm angle and add more lift to his throws.    IQ: Misla is a strong QB, who showcases good understandings of defense, and can operate an RPO, Option system well. He moves around the pocket, and feels pressure, avoiding sacks. He can escape with his legs, and while not the fastest, moves well downfield.   Final Word: Misla is an outstanding QB, who showcases an high IQ, and understanding of the game from under center. He has good arm talent and accuracy both of which can be improved, and shows solid footwork and mechanics which also can be improved. Misla is an underrated QB to watch.     Background: The Section Nine Gunslinger hails from Middletown, and is one of the quickest QB's in the state. He has seen his ranking increase, and was one of many impressive QB's at our Winter Showcase.   Size: Standing at 5'10" 170-Pounds, he has a solid frame for a QB. While on the smaller side, he showcases good weight at 170, and should look to reach 175-185-Pounds to help fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Royal has work in progress accuracy, and sometimes throws behind receivers. His accuracy across the middle is exceptional at the small and medium levels, and he hits his players chest level with a on the money strike. His strength is good as well, and he can toss it deep or short on any play.    Footwork/Mechanics: Royal has solid footwork, and showcases a good drop back. Taking snaps from the shotgun mainly limits the drop on tape. He is a bit antsy and can work on setting his feet and stepping into throws. His mechanics are solid, and can vary on throws. He has a good release, and angle with his throws. This is where he should focus his training.   IQ: Royal showcases a good IQ, and understands the defense. He can carve through formations easily, and trusts his receivers. He moves around the pocket well, and never holds onto the ball too long.   Final Word: Royal is an outstanding young QB, with tons of talent. He should look to improve his footwork and mechanics, and with this and his strong arm and good accuracy, I see an outstanding QB.     Background: Fortin is one of three St. Anthony's QB's in the 2028 class, and while has limited game film due to injury, put together impressive showcase and camp tape over the offseason.    Size: Fortin has exceptional size standing at 6'3" 205-Pounds. His frame is perfect for a QB, and his consistent muscle adding is impressive   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Fortin has a strong arm, capable of tossing the ball 35+ yards down the field with ease. He can hit all three levels of the field, and does so with good accuracy. He does tend to float balls, which leads to some inaccuracies and tough to catch balls.    Footwork/Mechanics: His mechanics are impressive, and I like his quick release. He does need to work on floating the ball, which involves refining his mechanics. His footwork is solid, and he moves around the pocket well. Outside the pocket we see solid accuracy thanks to good footwork. Can use some fine tuning here.    IQ: Fortin showcases a good IQ, and the ability to work through progressions. He needs to focus on getting the ball out to open players quickly and not forcing throws. His speed is elite as well, and his legs and strength make him a deadly dual threat force with the ball.   Final Word: Fortin is a solid rising QB, who showcases a strong arm, and elite IQ. I like his footwork and his ability to navigate the pocket. Moving forward I want to see him tweak his mechanics and slow down plays behind the LOS, to improve decision making and accuracy. Fortin is a QB I have high hopes for moving forward.     Background: Morales started his career for Archbishop Stepinac in the CHSFL, and has since transferred to Somers in Section One. He has played snaps on JV and Freshman for Somers and Stepinac, and showcases some good traits.    Size: Morales has a solid frame standing at 6'0" 175-Pounds. He has good height, and is in the middle of the chart. His weight is on the slim side, and he should look to reach 185-195-Pounds to fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Morales has a cannon for an arm, and might have the strongest in his class. His deep ball can hit up to 50 yards with ease. His accuracy is good as well, as he can put the ball on the money at all three levels. His placement and leading receivers can be Improved but he is a general with the ball.    Footwork/Mechanics: Morales has solid footwork, and understands a three-step drop. He moves around well, and he keeps feet moving to get ready to move or throw. His mechanics are solid as well, and he can launch the ball, with a solid angle. I like his ability to get the ball out quick while under pressure, but he does tend to float the ball allowing defenders to catch up.    IQ: Morales understands a defense, and can stand tall or move around the pocket. He is not afraid of contact, and can deliver the ball with good accuracy through hits. He is not the fastest runner but protects the ball, and can escape for good gains or be used in design runs.    Final Word: Morales is a QB I need to see at the Varsity level. His blend of arm strength makes him a deadly weapon under center. Moving forward he should look to fine tweak his mechanics and footwork and continue working on accuracy. Morales is a QB who can rise as rankings progress.     Background: Siska is another playmaker from upstate NY who made his name known this season. He can play on both sides of the ball, and is a true dual threat playmaker at the QB Position.   Size: Siska has a solid frame at 6'0" 170-Pounds. He has good height, but should look to reach 180-190-Pounds, of good weight to help fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Siska is always looking to push the ball downfield, and showcases a strong arm, that can reach each hashmark, and all three levels. His accuracy is on point as well as he can place the ball perfectly allowing his receivers to make plays on the ball.    Footwork: His footwork is solid, and he showcases the ability to make throws on the run given his footwork. This area can always be improved, but he has solid skills allowing him to make good throws.   Mechanics: Siska can refine his mechanics as he progresses throughout high school, but I like his release, and his ability to get the ball out quickly while displaying a solid touch on his throws.    IQ: Siska has an excellent IQ, which is on display in his tape. He showcases the ability to find his receivers open, and use his legs to create plays, and escape pressure throughout the game.    Final Word: Siska is a solid QB, who continues to improve his game. I like his arm talent, and his ability to deliver accurate strikes at all three levels sets him above the rest. He should look to improve his mechanics and footwork moving forward.     Background: The La Salle Institute QB, is an intriguing prospect who is flying under the radar in the Capital Region. He recently started for JV, and will be a top Prospect in the area this year.    Size: Standing at 6'0" 170-Pounds, Poremba displays a solid frame for a QB prospect. The La Salle Institute prospect is under the weight chart, and should look to reach 185-195-Pounds to fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Poremba showcases a strong arm, with the ability to hit all three levels of the field. His accuracy is solid as well, but outside the pocket we see some struggles delivering the ball on the mark.    Footwork: Poremba has solid footwork, and showcases a good understanding of a three-step drop back in the pocket. he does tend to plant and throw off his back foot, which can hinder his accuracy. Outside the pocket his accuracy can vary, which is seen through his footwork.    Mechanics: Poremba puts a nice tough on the ball for a QB prospect, and showcases a solid release getting the ball out fast. His mechanics overall are solid, but he should look to fine tweak his skills.    IQ: Poremba has a solid IQ for a QB. I like his ability to find the open playmaker and fit the ball into tight windows. His ability to move through his progressions is also evident, and makes him a good decision maker.    Final Word: Poremba is a solid QB who has improved since his Freshman season. He showcases a solid arm with accuracy that is solid. I like his IQ, and decision making, but he should work on his footwork and mechanics to help his arm strength and accuracy.     Background: Grey hails from the Niagara Region and is a dual threat QB for Jamestown High School, in Section Six. The Dual Threat QB, led Jamestown to a solid record in 2025 and is looking to keep the momentum going in 2026.   Size: Standing at 6'0" 190-Pounds, the Jamestown QB, displays an excellent frame for the QB Position. He is perfectly within his weight and height on the QB Chart, and should look to reach 200-Pounds, to finish off his build.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Grey has a solid arm which is on full display given his tape. His ability to hit all three levels of the field is showcased. His accuracy is solid and he can hit throws with tight windows.   Footwork/Mechanics: Grey showcases solid footwork and mechanics, but sometimes plants his feet, affecting throws. His balls come out quick, but can be sped up to improve accuracy.   IQ: His IQ, is evident, and he progress through his reads well, and finds the open playmaker with ease. He moves well through the pocket and keeps his area clean. He limits mistakes and distributes the ball well.   Final Word: A young solid QB Grey is. He can improve in his footwork and mechanics moving forward, but I like his IQ, and arm strength which allows him to get the ball to his playmakers. A solid rising WNY prospect.     Background: The PSAL 3A QB is one of the top in the league. He is a true dual threat playmaker that finally breaks through to the rankings in this update.    Size: Valerio has an undersized frame for the QB position. Standing at 5'9" 160-Pounds, he is below both the weight and height chart for a QB. His ideal frame would be 5'10" 175-Pounds, which is what he should look to reach as he progresses through High School.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Valerio showcases a strong arm, and launching the ball downfield, is a trait he does well. He has good placement on balls beyond the 20 yard mark, and allows his players to make plays on the ball.   Footwork: Valerio works best out of the pocket, where we see his footwork evident on his film. He moves well outside of the pocket, and his footwork leads him into accurate throws.    Mechanics: His mechanics are solid, and he showcases a solid release with good touch on his balls. He could look to refine his mechanics and get the ball out quicker.    IQ: he showcases a good IQ, and makes the correct read on his throws. He is a smart playmaker who excels in the RPO/Option game. He feeds his playmakers the ball, and looks for positive gains no matter how he gets them.    Final Word: Valerio is a solid QB in the PSAL, and showcases good dual threat ability, paired with solid accuracy and ball placement. I like his ability to distribute the ball to his playmakers. He should look to improve his footwork and mechanics, while filling into his ideal QB frame as he progresses through High School.     Background: The Syracuse region QB piqued my interest during 7v7 Season, where he dominated for Syracuse Elite 15U. The FM QB, is one of the top Syracuse area prospects in the 2028 class.    Size: Dauksza displays a solid frame, standing at 6'0" 170-Pounds. His weight is a bit undersized, and he should look to reach around the 180-Pound mark to fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: The deep ball is the name of the game with Dauksza. He has excellent arm strength, and can launch the ball down the field with ease. His accuracy is on point with these throws as well, as he hits receivers in stride, creating big gains.    Footwork: His footwork is solid, and Dauksza displays the ability to stand tall in the pocket and drop back to throw. His three step is solid, and I like his ability to deliver the ball through good footwork.    Mechanics: His mechanics are solid, and he gets the ball out quickly after the snap. I like the ability to put a good touch on the ball. He could speed up his release a bit.    IQ: Dauksza's IQ, is elite, and as a pocket passer QB, he showcases an elite ability to work through his progressions, and deliver accurate strikes with good accuracy. He moves around the pocket well, and can escape pressure well.    Final Word: Dauksza is a solid QB, who flies under the radar in Section III. I like his ability to stand tall in the pocket and deliver quick accurate strikes across the field. He should look to fill into his frame, and refine and tweak his footwork and mechanics as he progresses towards the next level.     Background: Brown is another QB who I have seen this offseason, making his rounds on the 7v7 circuit. Brown transfers from Green Tech to Troy for his junior season, and this Troy squad is a potential team to beat.    Size: Brown is undersized for the QB position and currently sits below both charts for his height and weight. His ideal frame for a QB would be 5'9" 170-175-Pounds.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Brown has an outstanding arm, and his ability to hit all hashmarks and all levels of the field is impressive. I like what he can do with the ball in his hand. His accuracy can use some work and is a skill I think he should refine this season.    Footwork: He has good footwork, and his ability to move throughout the pocket and outside and deliver strong throws. I like his ability to hit all three levels outside the pocket, which I think is his strong suit.    Mechanics: He has solid mechanics, and he is a magician with the ball in his hands. His ability to deliver a good ball with solid touch is impressive, and I like his motion while throwing.    IQ: Brown has a solid IQ, and trusts his recovers. His ball placement and accuracy is where mistakes can happen, but he makes smart plays throwing and attempts to put the ball in tight windows. He moves through his progressions well.   Final Word: Brown is an athletic dual threat QB, who despite being undersized, showcases a strong arm with a high IQ. He has above level footwork. His accuracy is a major tool he should work on, along with reaching his ideal frame. Overall gaining Brown, makes Troy a serious threat.     Background: Hailing from Grand Island, the 2028 Signal Caller is fresh off a solid season slinging the ball, and is amongst one of the best in the region.   Size: Standing at 5'10" 175-Pounds, Mantione displays a solid frame for a QB. He is on the lower side of both the height and weight chart, but his current frame is perfect for a QB.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Mantione showcases the ability to launch the ball 40+ yards down the field, and hit all three levels with ease. His accuracy is on display as well, as downfield he is exceptional putting the ball on the money. Middle-Short passes he can improve accuracy on.   Footwork/Mechanics: His mechanics are pretty, and he showcases a beautiful touch on his throws while launching it downfield. His footwork is also solid, and outside the pocket we see exceptional footwork while throwing.   IQ: He showcases a high IQ, and he is a true play extender dual threat QB. He can distribute the ball easily and is consistently looking for open playmakers. I like his ability to avoid pressure in the pocket, and he keeps his area clean while throwing.   Final Word: Mantione is an exceptional QB, who will easily see improvement this season as a Junior. I like what he brings to the table with his IQ, and arm accuracy. His footwork and mechanics can use some work, but with two years to improve he is easily a player on the rise.     Background: Boler suits up for Section Two Niskayuna. The Sophomore QB appeared on our radar, as he led his squad to a deep State playoff run.    Size: Standing at 6'0" 165-Pounds, he displays a solid frame for a QB. Boler has good height, but should look to reach his ideal weight of 175-185-Pounds, to help fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Boler has a strong arm, which he has on full display in his tape. I like his ability o launch the ball with ease, and doing so he showcases good accuracy. Accuracy can use some work, as he can throw his receivers open more, or showcase better ball placement.    Footwork: Boler showcases good footwork in the pocket, and displays the ability to stand tall in the pocket and keep his balance on throws. Outside the pocket, and moves well, and releases the ball with good footwork. Footwork is easily one of his top skills.    Mechanics: His mechanics are solid for a Sophomore QB, and he showcases a quick ball, allowing him to fit his throws into tight windows, and make plays down field. His mechanics are elite, and his ability to make throws look effortlessly is impressive.    IQ: Boler showcases a high IQ, navigating the pocket well, and avoiding pressure. He goes through his progressions well, and finds the open playmakers on each rep. His ability to distribute the ball and extend plays is impressive.    Final Word: Arm accuracy can be improved for Boler, and pair that with his excellent footwork, and good mechanics, he can. easily find himself moving up as one of the top QB's in the class.     Background: Carney plays upstate for Waterville, and while he plays 8-Man football, he still showcases skills, and is capable of playing an 11-Man game.   Size: Standing at 6'3" 180-Pounds, Carney showcases an elite frame for a QB. His weight is on the slimmer side, and he should look to reach the 200-Pound mark to help fill out his frame.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Carney has an extensive arm, and showcases an elite level of strength with his throws. He can hit targets with accuracy 45+ yards down field. He leads his targets with accuracy, and can find them open in space for big gains.   Footwork/Mechanics: He takes snaps from the shotgun, and showcases an understanding of letting plays develop. He can move around the pocket well, and showcases good footwork on his throws. His mechanics are solid, and while he can fine tweak things like his motion and arm angle, he displays an outstanding ball, paired with a quick release and good placement   IQ: Carney has a high IQ, and feels the pocket well. He can keep the backfield clean. He showcases the ability to escape the pocket and create gains with his legs.   Final Word: Carney is an elite level 8-Man football IQ, who showcases the ability to use legs and arms to carve through defenses across the field. He should work on fine tweaking all his traits as he moves through high school.     Background: The South Side QB, is a newer name to Prep Redzone, but has put together a solid tame, and finds himself ranked in this edition of the 2028 Rankings. He is a dual-threat QB for his squad.   Size: Standing at 5'10" 140-Pounds, Cesario Jr, showcases a slim undersized frame for a QB, but can play WR with his frame. To fill out his build, he should look to reach an ideal frame of 5'10" 170-180-Pounds.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Cesario Jr, showcases a strong arm and on his tape displays the ability to launch the ball downfield with ease. His accuracy is solid and he leads his players into throws, and has good ball placement on contested throws.   Footwork/Mechanics: Cesario Jr, showcases good footwork, and moving out of the pocket he can put the ball on the money, and does so with good footwork, helping his accuracy. His mechanics are solid, and he showcased a solid touch with a good spiral, delivering the ball on the money. Mechanics can use some work.    IQ: Cesario Jr, showcases a good IQ, and has the ability to read a defense. I like his ability to distribute the ball, and not play hero ball. He showcases good pocket presence, and avoids pressure well delivering strong throws, or escaping for big gains.    Final Word: Robert Cesario Jr, is a solid Long Island QB, who is making his presence known. His ability to deliver a strong accurate ball makes him a deadly threat on the football field. He should look to fine tweak his mechanics and accuracy moving forward.     Background: Heading to the Catholic League, Jiminez is a prospect who has flown under the radar throughout his High School Career. He is a player who can play multiple positions.   Size: Jiminez displays an undersized frame for a QB, standing at 5'8" 150-Pounds. He is undersized in both charts, and should look to reach his ideal frame of 5'10" 175-185-Pounds before the end of High School.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Jiminez showcases a strong arm, with the ability to reach targets at all three levels. I like his ability to place the ball on 50/50 contested throws. His accuracy can vary on throws, and he should work on leading receivers, and getting the ball out in front of his receivers.   Footwork/Mechanics: He showcases a good drop back, and taking most his snaps from shotgun he showcases a good three step-drop back. He keeps his feet moving allowing him to hit throws downfield. His mechanics are strong, and he showcases a good release, with speed that allows the ball to get out fast, and fit into tight windows.   IQ: He showcases a good IQ, with the ability to move around the pocket and feel pressure. I like his ability to fit the ball into tight windows and move downfield with each play behind the LOS.   Final Word: Jiminez is a raw underrated QB, who needs to reach his ideal frame as he progresses through high school. I like his IQ, and his ability to fit the ball through tight windows. He should fine tweak his mechanics, and work on his accuracy and strength moving forward.     Background: The Section Nine Prospect, led his squad to a Class A Semi-Final trip this past season, and looks to return as one of the top signal callers in that region.    Size: Standing at 6'0" 195-Pounds, Caesar displays a solid frame for a QB. His build is in the middle of both height and weight charts, and his only notes are that he should reach 200-Pounds to finish off his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Caesar showcase a good arm, and while I didn't see many deep throws on his tape, he showcased the ability to move the ball down field. His accuracy was good, and he allowed receivers to consistently make plays on the ball.    Footwork/Mechanics: He has solid footwork, and moves around the pocket well, stepping into throws and creating accuracy with his footwork. His mechanics are decent, and he can utilize getting the ball out faster, along with getting more accurate throws.   IQ: His IQ is strong, and he creates plays with his arms and his legs. He can read a defense well, and showcases a good understanding of RPO, and Option schemes.    Final Word: Caesar is a QB, who showed good promise during the season, and with a solid IQ, and the ability to create plays, can be a deadly force for any team. He should look to improve his mechanics and accuracy on throws moving forward.     Background: Ranieri is the third of three St. Anthony's QB's who are ranked in the 2028 Class. He played mainly on JV last season for the Friars where he had a solid season.   Size: Standing at 6'1" 180-Pounds, the Friars signal caller, showcases a good frame for the QB position. He should loom to add good weight to help fill out his frame and reach 185-195-Pounds.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Ranieri has an excellent arm, and showcases the ability to launch the ball downfield with ease. I like his ability to hit all three levels of the field, and to make his throws look effortlessly. He is accurate but can continue to improve this aspect.    Footwork/Mechanics: Ranieri showcases work in progress mechanics, I like his touch and he can deliver the ball with a quick zip. This is where I think he should focus his training in this aspect. His footwork is solid and he utilizes his feet well while navigating the pocket.    IQ: His IQ, is one of his greatest strength, and he can read a defense well. I like his ability to utilize his arms and legs while under center. He showcases good pocket presence and can move around well to make plays.    Final Word: Ranieri is a solid QB, who has continued to improve throughout his High School time. He has a strong arm, where he displays good accuracy and the ability to move the ball downfield. He should work on his mechanics moving forward, which I think will benefit him a lot.     Background: Clum was a new name to make the Prep Redzone Radar this past season, and he had a stat sheet stuffer season. The Red Clum prospect had an excellent year for his squad, and I see another outstanding year coming.   Size: Standing at 6'2" 195-Pounds, Clum has outstanding size for a QB. His frame falls in the middle of both charts, and his only notes are to reach 200-Pounds, which most QB's are at when standing at 6'2".    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Clum loves launching the ball, and works best with throws downfield. He showcases the ability to hit all three levels, but works his best when launching the ball. He has good accuracy, and I like his ability to fit the ball into tight windows.    Footwork: Clum has outstanding footwork, and his ability to move around in the backfield, and deliver throws is elite. I also like his footwork on the run where he keeps his legs active and delivers quality throws.    Mechanics: His mechanics are the only area that can use some work. Clum has solid touch on his ball, and his release is decent. He can look to make it his release quicker in order to get the ball out faster. Minor refining is what he can use in this aspect.    IQ: Clum has a solid IQ, which is seen as he navigates the pocket avoiding pressure. I like his ability to avoid pressure and make throws across the field. he moves through progressions well, and finds the open receiver with ease.    Final Word: Clum is a solid prospect who easily can see his recruitment rise over the next two years. His blend of strength and accuracy is outstanding, and I like his footwork while moving outside the pocket. Clum should refine/tweak his mechanics as he continues to progress.     Background: The South Park Buffalo QB, has flown under the radar so far through his High School Career, but that ends today. He is a versatile QB, who is a true dual threat.   Size: Standing at 6'4" 190-Pounds, Brown showcases an impressive frame for a QB. His height is elite, but his weight is on the slimmer side, and he should look to bulk up to 200-210-Pounds to fill out his frame.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: A strong arm is on display with Brown, and he shows the ability to hit all hashmarks, and levels with ease. The mid and short range throws are the best. His accuracy is pinpoint, and I like his ability to hit receivers on the money with his ball placement. Arm Accuracy and Strength, is easily one of his best traits.   Footwork/Mechanics: He has good footwork, and showcases his drop on each clip of film. He takes a small step back on each throw, and could look to use a three-step on his snaps. I like his mechanics, and he showcases a good release which could be sped up. His arm angle, along with his power, as the ball can float on occasion.   IQ: Brown showcases a good IQ, and displays an elite understanding of an offense. I like his placement on 50/50 balls. While he's not a runner, he can use his legs to move around the pocket and create plays for his team.   Final Word: Brown is an underrated QB, who can easily shoot up rankings as he progresses through High School. I like his ability to put the ball in good placement, and create plays downfield. He should fine tweak his accuracy, mechanics and footwork, to continue improving through High School.     Background: The Deer Park QB, is one of the quickest QB's on the board, clocking a 4.6 40-Yard Dash, and showing the ability to create plays as a deadly dual threat QB.    Size: Standing at 5'9" 150-Pounds, Kern is undersized for the position, and should look to reach his ideal frame of 5'10" 160-170-Pounds, as he continues through High School.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Kern has a solid arm, which is seen on display throughout his tape. His ability to slice players with both his arm and legs is impressive. His accuracy is slid as well, and can use some work, but is serviceable for his game.    Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork is good, and he is able to navigate and move around the backfield well, and deliver good throws. His mechanics are solid, and he gets the ball out with good touch on his throws.    IQ: He has a good IQ, and showcases the ability to dance around the pocket, and run for big gains when needed. His ability to see open rush lanes, and receivers is elite, and he always creates positive plays for his team.    Final Word: Kern is a solid prospect who can play multiple positions across the field. His ability to use his legs and arm, makes him a deadly weapon for Deer Park. Moving forward, Kern should look to tweak his mechanics, and arm accuracy, to improve his ball throwing skills.     Background: Loncar transfered in from Canisius and will be the starter for North Tonawanda this season. He is a dual threat QB, who utilizes his legs and arms across the field.   Size: Loncar has a solid frame, and showcases a young growing build for a QB. Standing at 6'2" 175-Pounds, he should look to fill out his frame and reach the 190-200-Pound mark before ending High School.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Loncar showcases a strong arm and displays the ability to toss the ball 40+ yards with ease. He can hit all three levels of the field, and does so with solid accuracy. Fine tweaking is needed for Loncar in both aspects.   Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork is exceptional inside the pocket and he stands tall, delivering accurate and exceptional throws inside the pocket. His mechanics are solid, and his ability to deliver the ball with good touch along with a quick release.   IQ: Loncar with a small sample size showcased good vision, and navigated the pocket. He kept his eyes downfield, and worked through his progressions well.   Final Word: Oscar is an exceptional QB, who saw himself make the rankings in this cycle. I like his mechanics and his footwork a lot, and he can polish both moving forward. He should also look to work on his accuracy and strength moving forward.     Background: Chmaj is a new addition from Niagara-Wheatfield, and the 2028 QB, put together some solid film on JV, and the 7v7 circuit. He is an also an attendee of our Prep Redzone NY Showcase on May 23rd.   Size: Standing at 5'10" he showcases a good frame for a QB, but is on the slimmer side for a QB. His weight is below the chart, and he should look to reach 180-190-Pounds. His height is solid, be he should look to reach 5'11-6'0".   Arm Accuracy/Strength: He showcases a good arm, with the ability to hit targets at the mid and lower levels of the field with ease. His accuracy on said throws are right on the money, and he can lead his receivers on throws. On deep throws we see a solid arm, with the ability to hit throws at that level, but his accuracy can vary, and here is where he should look to improve moving forward.   Footwork/Mechanics: Chmaj has solid footwork, and takes a majority of snaps from the shotgun. I like his ability to get the ball out quick, and he showcases a good zip, and arm angle on his throws. He throws a nice spiral at well, but can work on making it tighter.   IQ: Chmaj has a good understanding of pocket presence, and can move around feeling pressure. He sees the field well, but should continue to work through progressions, and not stare down receivers. He can use his legs, and has solid speed on run plays.   Final Word: Chmaj is a raw young QB, who showcases some solid traits. He has good accuracy and strength on short and mid throws, but should work on his accuracy and talent down the field. He should also look at his mechanics and lightning his spiral and fine tweaking his traits. Chmaj is a growing QB from Upstate.     Background: Fitzgerald was part of a Section One winning Mamaroneck squad this past season, and is a new QB to the 2028 rankings.    Size: Fitzgerald has next level size, and displays the perfect frame for a QB standing at 6'3" 210-Pounds. Fitzgerald has the best frame in his class.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Fitzgerald showcases good accuracy down the field, and has the ability to put the ball on the money. He can hit all three levels, and shows the ability to make plays outside the pocket. His strength is impressive as he can hit all hashmarks with ease.   Footwork/Mechanics: This is where Fitzgerald should focus his training moving forward. He takes a majority of snaps from under center, and constantly moves around the pocket. Stepping into throws, or slowing down his footwork, can lead to more accuracy on throws. His mechanics are decent and while he gets the ball out quick, he should look to change up his angle, and refine his motion on throws to increase accuracy.    IQ: Fitzgerald is a smart QB. He can understand a defense, and is a true general of the offense. His ability to understand and find the open man is impressive. He keeps the pocket clean, and limits mistakes with the ball.    Final Word: Fitzgerald is a solid QB, who showcases an elite IQ, and good football knowledge. He is raw but showcases a good frame, with a strong arm. He should look to improve his mechanics and footwork as he progresses through High School.     Background: The Mepham QB, is a new edition to the 2028 Rankings and slots in as the 31st best QB in the 2028 Class. He led his team to a 7-2 record last season.    Size: Standing at 6'1" 180-Pounds, Erlichman, displays a solid frame for the QB Position. He falls in the middle of both height and weight charts and has a good frame for a QB.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: He showcases solid traits in both categories, and is in need of fine tweaking in both. His ability to hit all three levels with solid accuracy allows him to make plays across the field.    Footwork/Mechanics: He showcases solid mechanics, and gets the ball to his playmakers quickly. His motion can be sped up to stop potential defenders jumping passes. He showcases good footwork, and has the ability to roll out and deliver strikes.    IQ: Erlichman showcases a solid IQ, paired with good decision making skills. He limits mistakes and keeps the pocket clean. His ability to work through progressions allows him to move the ball downfield.    Final Word: [player_tooltip player_id='2175357' first='Adam' last='Erlichman']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/adam-erlichman/"></a><a></a> is a solid young raw QB, who has solid traits. He has good arm accuracy and strength, which makes him a downfield threat. His mechanics and footwork are solid but can also use some tweaking. He is a raw QB in need of some training, but is making an impact for Mepham.     Background: Arduino is a player who has seen his recruiting start, with multiple showcase appearances. The Section 1 Class B QB, will suit up for Pleasantville this season, as they look towards a big season.   Size: Standing at 6'0" 180-Pounds, [player_tooltip player_id='2112227' first='Sevan' last='Arduino'] showcases a solid frame for the QB Position. He should look to continue filling out his frame adding height and weight as he progresses through High School.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Arduino has limited film, but toms of camp reps from over the past few years. He showcases a strong arm, with the ability to hit all three levels, but he should work on his deep throws as the accuracy and range can vary. His short-medium accuracy is good, but can always be improved.   Footwork/Mechanics: Sevan has excellent footwork for a QB, and this one trait I am excited to see on display this upcoming season. He can stand tall in the pocket, and showcases a good drop back. His mechanics are solid, and he should look to make his spiral tighter, and get the ball out faster.   IQ: Arduino showcases a good IQ, on reps he can move around the pocket move up, and avoid sacks. He can move through his progressions well, and displays the ability to take care of the ball.   Final Word: Arduino is a solid QB, who has some serious talent that needs to be on display. He should work on his mechanics, arm strength, and accuracy moving forward. I'm curious to see him perform next weekend in Warwick, NY.     Background: Lazar is another new player who will be visible in our 2028 Rankings. The Section One Byram Hill playmaker, can play across the field and is a true athlete with the football.   Size: Lazar stands at 5'10" 160-Pounds, displaying an undersized frame for the QB position. Lazar should look to fill into his ideal frame of 5'11-6'0" 175-190-Pounds as he progresses through High School.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Medium and short throws are the name of the game for [player_tooltip player_id='2200605' first='Hudson' last='Lazar']. He showcases good accuracy, and can lead his receivers into open windows and big plays. Not many plays are downfield, but he can hit targets over 25+ yards. His accuracy is solid but this is a trait he should look to keep improving.   Footwork/Mechanics: Lazar showcases decent footwork, but he needs to stand tall in the pocket. He tends to make himself lower to the ground affecting his arm strength and accuracy. I like his footwork but he needs to stay patient and work through his drop back. His mechanics are solid and he has a good arm angle, along with spiral. I want to see the ball get out faster, along with less floating on his throws.   IQ: Lazar showcases a good IQ, and has the ability to move around the pocket. He can keep his eyes downfield, and uses his legs to create plays and rush for gains.   Final Word: [player_tooltip player_id='2200605' first='Hudson' last='Lazar'] is a solid playmaker who showcases the ability to hit short and medium throws with ease. He can work on his footwork and mechanics, and I feel with some more training he can be a good QB in Section One.     Background: Hanley is next in line for the Sayville Squad that has produced QB's like crazy over the 21st century. Hanley is a dual threat QB, who can use his legs and arms across the field.   Size: Hanley stands at 6'0" 180-Pounds displaying a solid frame for a QB. He is on the slimmer side for a QB, and should look to add some good weight to his frame as he progresses through High School.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Hanley isn't the biggest thrower, and while his legs are the main threat, he showcases good accuracy on short passes across the field. He has a solid arm and likely can hit targets down the field, but limited film exists of throws beyond 25+ yards. While he has limited strength, his throws are on point, and he can   Footwork/Mechanics: Hanley has excellent footwork, and showcase an elite ability to use his legs on any play. He can stand tall in the pocket, and showcase a good drop back. A majority of snaps are from the shotgun, and he utilizes his skill set well. His mechanics are solid and for an Option RPO first QB, they are serviceable.   IQ: He has a good IQ, and showcases an elite ability to run an RPO/ Option system. He can throw the ball well as well, and is a serviceable threat for any team. He should work on his arm strength and accuracy moving forward.   Final Word: Hanley is an excellent QB, who would dominate a RPO/Option QB system. I like his ability to use his legs to avoid pressure, and create plays with his legs downfield. He has sold accuracy, but should work on his accuracy and arm strength moving forward.     Background: Fix is another WNY QB who has a bright future coming up for Lancaster. Fix is another new addition ti the rankings, and a player who intrigues me given his versatility.   Size: Fix has a lengthy frame for a QB, standing at 6'4" 195-Pounds. His height is exceptional, according to the height chart, but his weight is on the slimmer side, and something he should look to improve moving forward. Reaching 210-Pounds minimum would be ideal for him.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Fix showcases a mainly run first prototype for a QB, limiting the pass reps we see on tape. Fix showcases a solid arm, and can hit throws across the field. He should look to add more strength and refine his arm, as another tool he can use. His accuracy is solid, and he can hit throws on the money, but does have some inaccuracy he should look to refine.   Footwork/Mechanics: Footwork is evident on his tape, as he showcases the ability to run on each snap. He has a decent drop back, and can stall and disorient defenders in RPO/Option reps. Mechanics will not be evaluated, as there are not enough reps to gauge a feel of him as a QB.   IQ: Fix is a wizard with the ball when it comes to option and RPO reps. He is excellent at reading a defense, and making the right read. He has good legs, and can use them as a legitimate threat on the field.   Final Word: Fix is an excellent athlete, who has a solid IQ, and a good understanding of his legs, and how to utilize them on the football field. He is a raw athlete who should look to add work to the QB aspect, such as throwing and mechanics work, as he continues to progress towards the next level.     Background: Hughey is a prospect who can play both sides of the ball for Newfane. His film is not up to date, so I reviewed older film, which will be evaluated here.   Size: Hughey has a solid frame for the QB position, and showcases good height standing at 6'0". His weight at 160-Pounds, is under the weight chart, and he should look to reach the 185-195-Pound mark.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Hughey showcases an arm, and the capability to hit all three levels of the field. He has decent accuracy, but the ball can be behind his targets, or stop them on their routes. He should look to improve his accuracy, and add to his strength.   Footwork/Mechanics: Hughey has work in progress footwork, and showcases good roll out skills, and can throw outside the pocket. His accuracy carries on these throws partly due to his footwork, which he should look to tweak. He has solid mechanics, and displays a good motion, pored with a solid zip. He should continue to improve his ball speed, and tighten his throws, to avoid floating the ball.   IQ: Hughey has a solid IQ, and it is definitely a top trait for the QB. I like his ability to move around the backfield and see the field. He can work through his progressions, and escape pressure when needed. He has solid legs and decent speed.   Final Word: Hughey is a work in progress QB. He is raw, and showcases solid traits that have potential but are not quite ready. He should look continue working on his traits and put in the offseason work this year.     Background: Maugeri is another new name to the 2028 Rankings, and the Connetquot JV prospect, will also be in attendance for out May Prep Redzone NY Showcase in Warwick New York on the 23rd.    Size: Moving to his frame, standing at 5'11" 150-Pounds, Maugeri displays an undersized frame for a QB Prospect. His height is on the chart, but his weight should look to meet the 180-190-Pound mark to fill out his frame.    Arm Accuracy/Strength: Maugeri showcases a solid arm, and while he is not a major threat downfield, he can hit all three levels of the field with ease. I like his accuracy on out routes, and throws over the middle.    Footwork/Mechanics: His mechanics are solid, and he showcases a quick release with the ability to throw at different arm angles. He has a nice touch on the ball. His footwork is solid, but he is antsy and can plant his feet affecting accuracy at times.   IQ: He has a solid IQ, and keeps his head downfield, looking to extend plays. I like his ability to keep moving and work through his progressions to find open targets.    Final Word: Maugeri is a solid QB, who has good traits when it comes to throwing the ball. His arm strength and his ability to hit all levels of the field makes him a threat. He should work on his accuracy and footwork moving forward as he continues to improve.     Background: Wright is a new QB, with little to none information on him. He hails from Sidney High School, and is a QB I am intrigued to see perform this season.   Size: I have no information on his current frame, and could not find any through research or the school. This column is an N/A.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Wright has good strength and arm talent. There are not many deep plays on film, but he can reach 35+ yards on his throws. Accuracy is a major tool Wright needs to tweak moving forward.   Footwork/Mechanics: He is antsy in the pocket, and this does affect his accuracy. He can drop back on snaps, and while taking most of his snaps from the shotgun, he rarely completes his drop back. He should tweak his footwork, and work on stepping into throws. His mechanics are decent, and he showcases a good zip, and ball placement on contested throws. I want to see him get the ball out quicker, and float the ball less with a tighter spiral.   IQ: Wright has an ok IQ, and can see plays develop. He tends to create plays behind the LOS, but also creates trouble the same way. He makes risky plays that can questionable decisions. He needs to slow down the game in the pocket.   Final Word: [player_tooltip player_id='2200627' first='Elijah' last='Wright'] showcases potential at the QB position, but has a lot of raw traits he needs to work on moving forward. He has good plays with short and medium accuracy and should fed of those reps as he progresses.     Background: Turski is a QB who has versatility in his game. He can play at multiple positions, and while QB might be his best, TE, and other would work out.   Size: He has an impressive frame at 6'5" 200-Pounds, and his height is elite, and even allows him to play at TE. He should look to add weight being only 200-Pounds, and reach at least 220-Pounds, allowing him to fill into his frame at both positions.   Arm Accuracy/Strength: Film is limited for Turski, but from the clips I saw, he can hit throws down the field, with ease, and his short and medium range level throws are a major threat to any defense. He has solid accuracy, but should look to improve in this area.   Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork and mechanics are solid, and for a guy his size, he showcases good patience in the pocket, and lets plays develop, taking a drop back and stepping into throws. I want to see him work on mechanics as everything in that category can be tweaked or improved.   IQ: He displays a solid IQ, and his height allows him to see the entire field. He lets plays develop, and is consistent with his decision making. I want to see him utilize his legs more, along with working through his progressions   Final Word: Turski has unlimited potential with his frame, and even can play at other positions. He should look to fine tweak his footwork and mechanics, and work on his accuracy down field. Continued reps and work will make him an elite QB/Playmaker for any team.
