Current Ranking and Potential Bump: A New York 2028 who traveled down to Villanova to garner some recruiting interest. I had no idea he was ranked as high as he is while watching him work in person Thursday. QB play was average at best, I’d say, yet Farrelly looked well above average during 1v1s. I like to gauge QB performances based on 1v1s alone; Farrelly did a solid job hitting the correct shoulder, placing balls where only his target could make plays. I came away impressed with some of the spots he hit, regardless of whether they were completed at the time. I don’t rank in PRZ New York, yet I will make sure those who do will know of his relatively good performance this past week; that much I can do. Farrelly is already ranked well among his 2028 peers, so I doubt this performance will move the needle too much. Great seeing him.

Brayden Farrelly Brayden Farrelly 6'1" | 160 lbs | QB Kellenberg | 2028 State NY was also in attendance, and also had a good showing in Warwick. His combine numbers were middle of the pack, and while nothing special for a QB, he did show solid speed and the ability to move around in the backfield.

Farrelly was a QB I wish I saw more of given his talent. He caught my eye with drills, as while a lot of QB’s were stiff, he seemed loose and ready to work. The weather didn’t affect his throwing, and he put on display a smooth quick release showing his potential as a natural thrower.

Background: The Catholic League prospect has flown under the radar throughout his High School Career, but I expect big things from the Dual Threat Prospect for Kellenberg this season. 

Size: Farrelly, stands at 6’1″ 160-Pounds, and displays a slim build for a QB. His height falls in the middle of the chart, but his weight is under, and he should look to reach 180-190-Pounds to help fill out his frame. 

Arm Accuracy/Strength: Farrelly is a true gunslinger, and has an outstanding arm for a QB prospect. He can make off balance throws, and showcases good accuracy leading his players downfield for catches. Accuracy can be improved a bit to ensure big plays. 

Footwork/Mechanics: His footwork is exceptional, and Farrelly moves well outside the pocket, showcasing good footwork and power with his throws. He has a quick release, paired with good touch. A nice tight spiral is what we see from Farrelly while throwing the ball. 

IQ: His IQ, is evident on his film, as he showcases a good understanding of coverages, along with the ability to launch the ball to open receivers. He keeps the ball clean, and stands tall in the pocket delivering throws, while showing the ability to move around and create plays with his legs. 

Final Word: Farrelly is an outstanding QB, you should have your eyes on. He showcases good mechanics, and has the ability to slice through a defense. He should work on his accuracy and arm strength moving forward, along with filling out his frame, as he progress through High School.
