[player_tooltip player_id='1590880' first='Kevin' last='Roig'] arrived at the Prep Red Zone NEXT Showcase with an impressive, well-developed frame for a young wide receiver. At 6'1" and 190 pounds, he already possesses the size and strength that college coaches look for in a boundary X-receiver or big slot. He is big, strong, and physical through contact, showing the ability to absorb hits without losing focus or body control. His frame suggests he can add another 15-20 pounds naturally while maintaining his quickness. Roig was one of the cleanest route-runners on the field during the showcase. He displayed sharp, crisp cuts with excellent footwork and very good change-of-direction ability for his size. His routes were precise — he attacked the stem, dropped his hips effectively, and accelerated out of breaks. He showed a mature understanding of how to use his body to create separation, particularly on in-breaking routes and back-shoulder fades. This was arguably the most impressive part of Roig's performance. Roig attacked the football with confidence and rarely dropped passes that hit his hands.

Roig played with a noticeable physical edge. He was willing to work through traffic, fight for positioning on the boundary, and compete every single rep. He did not shy away from contact after the catch and showed good balance and strength [player_tooltip player_id='1590880' first='Kevin' last='Roig'] was a clear standout at the Prep Red Zone NEXT Showcase. His combination of size, physicality, route precision, and reliable hands in contested situations separated him from many of his peers. For a player his age and size, the polish in his game is advanced. He looked like a wide receiver who already understands how to win at the catch point — a trait that translates very well to the college level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1701139' first='Hunter' last='Ford'] turned heads at the recent Prep Red Zone NEXT showcase with his explosive quickness and natural playmaking ability in the secondary. At 5'7" and 165 pounds, Ford brings a compact, twitchy build that allows him to play much bigger than his listed size suggests—particularly in coverage and run support. Ford consistently displayed outstanding footwork during position drills and 1-on-1s. He fires out of his stance with minimal false steps and changes direction sharply, allowing him to mirror receivers effectively through breaks and transitions. His lateral agility stood out in short-area quickness tests and shuttle-type movements. Ford showed reliable hands and strong instincts when the ball was in the air. He tracked throws well, attacked the football at its highest point in several reps, and demonstrated the ability to high-point or undercut routes without losing balance.

Despite the height disadvantage common for smaller defensive backs, Ford played with notable confidence and physicality. Ford's combination of twitch, fluidity, and ball production makes him a disruptive presence in man or zone coverage schemes. He projects as a nickel/hybrid defender or boundary corner who can contribute on special teams early while developing into a reliable starter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133972' first='Troy' last='Durand'] turned heads with a polished and productive showing at the recent Prep Red Zone NEXT showcase. As a young 2030 prospect, he competed with poise against quality competition and flashed the traits that college coaches look for in developing wide receivers. Durand ran smooth, controlled routes throughout the session. He showed good body control, the ability to sink his hips, and clean transitions in and out of breaks. His route tree looked advanced for his age group, with crisp cuts that allowed him to create separation even against physical defensive backs at the event. He didn't waste motion, maintaining speed through the stem and into the break — a key separator for young receivers.

He displayed a quick release off the line, which helped him get into his routes cleanly and avoid getting jammed consistently. Ball skills were reliable; he caught the ball naturally in stride and showed the ability to secure contested catches thanks to his physicality. Durand played with good strength for a 2030 prospect, using his frame effectively to box out or maintain leverage in traffic. Coaches will appreciate how physical Durand played. Durand moved well in space with fluid change-of-direction ability. While primarily working as a WR at the showcase, his athleticism supports potential two-way value if a staff wants to develop him as a safety or hybrid defender down the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2175368' first='Noah' last='Gentile'] turned in a polished and productive showing at the recent Prep Red Zone NEXT showcase, flashing the kind of route-running polish and ball skills that stand out even among younger talent pools. At 5'7" and 135 pounds, Gentile is on the smaller side for the position, but his football intelligence, body control, and hands more than compensated during the on-field sessions. The standout element of Gentile's performance was his route-running. He consistently ran smooth, crisp routes with good tempo and acceleration off the line. His routes had natural rhythm — no wasted steps or rounding off breaks — which allowed him to get open consistently against the athletic defenders in attendance.

Gentile's hands were reliable throughout the day. Evaluators noted his ability to make catches on the boundary as well as in traffic. He tracked the ball well over his shoulder and showed strong concentration when contested, plucking throws away from his frame or securing them through contact. Whether it was a back-shoulder fade near the sideline or a crossing route where defenders closed quickly, Gentile demonstrated confident, secure hands that give quarterbacks trust in tight windows. His frame and length are still developing (typical for a rising 2032 prospect), but he plays bigger than his listed size thanks to good leaping timing and strong hand-eye coordination on contested balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='2109572' first='Michael' last='James Jr.'] delivered a solid, competitive showing at the recent Prep Red Zone NEXT Showcase, flashing the tools that college coaches look for in a developing slot or boundary wide receiver at the early high school level. James Jr. stood out with a quick, compact release off the line of scrimmage that allowed him to gain immediate separation against press and off coverage in 1-on-1 and competitive team periods. His footwork and tempo were clean, enabling him to threaten defenders vertically while maintaining body control.

At the top of routes, James Jr. was particularly strong. He showed good sink in his hips and the ability to throttle down effectively, creating sharp breaks and winning with leverage. This route-running polish is advanced for his grade level and gives him the ability to create throwing windows even when timing is slightly off.In competitive catching situations, James Jr. made several impressive contested catches, securing the football with strong, reliable hands through contact. He tracked the ball well over his shoulder and demonstrated the toughness to hold on in traffic, which translated directly to positive plays during the showcase's competitive segments.
