We had a strong Quarterback group come out to compete yesterday. They were all poised, confident, and performed well. Beyond the physical traits the things I look for in quarterbacks are things like their demeanor, their coachability, and how they interact with the pass catchers. They all carried themselves in a way the left me impressed. So, lets jump right in take a look at this impressive group.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2043771' first='Luke' last='Hudak'] (Holy Name) 6'0 175- loved what I had to see from Hudak. His mechanics, timing, and footwork were all on point. He threw with good anticipation in the breaking routes. Watching him in the movement drills, he's a fluid athlete who can drop his hips and and change direction with ease.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1629135' first='Lucas' last='Cannady'] (St. Bernard Elwood Place) 6'0 190- Cannaday is a fluid athlete and posses strong movement skills. He really shined in the drills where he showed the ability to throw while on the move and off platform. He was a thousand yard rusher in his junior season so he's very comfortable with the ball in his hands in the run game. Lucas has a thicker build that will be able to take on that added physicality.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2175905' first='Khyri' last='McDaniels'] (Winton Woods) 6'2 170- Khyri had really nice touch throws on his intermediate and deep throws. He also showed the ability to drive the ball on slants. In the movement portion McDaniels showed fluid hips and the athleticism to reverse out of the pocket. I think he's a quarterback who will be able to play from inside or outside the pocket.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1643870' first='Garrett' last='Fraley'] (La Salle) 6'3 200- Fraley possesses what I like to call easy arm strength. He creates a ton of torque with his body with a whip action that makes his throws look effortless. He showed the big time velocity to drive the ball and throw to spots. There wasn't a throw out there he couldn't make. I'm really excited to see what Garrett can put on film this fall. The talent is there to play at the D1 level. I wouldn't be surprised to see him pull some offers this summer or fall with a strong camp season and junior film.

2028 [player_tooltip player_id='2175877' first='Josiiah' last='Jones'] (Winton Woods) 6'3 200- Jones shows off a compact and explosive throwing motion. I love how the ball comes off of his hand. He can really spin it. He showed great touch on the deep throws, dropping it in the bucket. Whether it was on an out, or a slant he also showed the ability to rip it. He got a varsity start as a freshman and led the Warriors to a win. I could really see Jones recruitment take off this summer and fall. He's a player who would've already started at a lot of schools, but has been backing up a D1 FBS scholarship quarterback. Jones is a strong prospect who I think should start to get D1 looks this offseason and fall.

2030 [player_tooltip player_id='2141844' first='Emmett' last='Wafzig'] (St. Xavier) 6'2 175- I really like what I saw from Wafzig. Physically he has a great frame to build onto as he grows and develops. He has a big arm that can make all of the throws. He has a really refined feel for throwing the ball for a freshman. I really liked the confidence competed with as he hung right in there with the older guys. As he continues to get reps and development along with the competition he will see at a school like St. Xavier his future is very bright.

2029 Ryder Chaimberlain (Franklin) 6'3 175- At a legit 6'3 Ryder has the height and frame coaches are going to love as a pocket passer. He showed good feet, timing, and put great touch on his throws. I saw flashes of him driving the ball, and as he continues to develop and gain confidence he'll definitely begin to open it up more. Athletically he's a fluid athlete who won't have a problem maneuvering around the pocket or getting out and moving the chains.

2029 [player_tooltip player_id='445341' first='Jackson' last='Smith'] (Winton Woods) 5'11 160- Smith had a solid day. He stepped in and made throws with confidence. He has an easy fluid throwing motion. His ball placement was strong.

2030 Blake Dodson (Hamilton) 5'9 160- Dodson was one of the younger quarterbacks in attendance. He displayed solid mechanics and a quick release. He threw the ball with confidence. I really liked what I saw from Blake. He was also one of the few players to seek me out and ask for feedback in person which shows me another level of maturity and coachability.
