is a starting quarterback for St. Bernard-Elmwood Place. Cannady is a legitimate dual-threat who can make plays with his legs. He frequently requires multiple defenders to bring him down, and he can keep his legs churning through contact. If anything, Cannady could be underrated as a passer: he does a great job of hitting receivers in stride, especially the drop-it-in-the-bucket pass deep and over the middle of the field.

Cannady is a prospect who needs more shine. He’s a D6 prospect who put up a productive season with a team that saw success under his time starting. He is an efficient player who can take throws given to him. He can play on time and be quick with getting the ball out. He can operate out of the shotgun and under center. Small-school football fans in the Cincinnati area will need to know of Cannady as we approach the season.

Cannady is a point guard on grass. He’s very comfortable running the spread pass offense. Where Lucas excels is in the intermediate passing game. He does a good job of throwing over the middle on slants and crossers but also has the arm strength to throw outside of the hashes. Cannady also shows the ability to execute the zone run offense where he has the athleticism to keep it and make plays with his legs. He’s also not afraid to lower his shoulder and pick up tough yards when the situation calls for it.
