5 QBs with Breakout Potential

A ton of variety to his throws and what he was asked to do. He showed that he had no problem recognizing coverage and hitting the hole shot for an explosive play. He showed that he can hit the deep ball accurately and consistently, and lead his receiver to the open part of the field to rack up the YAC. Something we didn't see a ton of before was his ability to throw on the run, but his highlights from this season showed a plethora of those plays where he was able to extend plays and be accurate even when he wasn't planted. When there weren't viable options downfield, Easton created some big plays by tucking it and getting upfield. Skill. Intangibles. Jaxson has started to develop into the full package! He stands tall in the pocket, scanning the field and making quick and confident decisions. He has the big arm, and can hit the deep ball accurately. The velocity on his short and intermediate throws was on the money, and he was hitting them with great timing. His mechanics are fluid, with not much wasted movement at all. He stands in the pocket calmly, doesn't get happy feet and delivers accurate strikes to nearly any part of the field. He has a mobile side to him, as he can get out and extend plays and still keep his eyes downfield. His accuracy stays pretty solid when throwing on the move, with good velocity and a tight spiral. I have now seen him a couple of times and his arm strength, timing and accuracy are steadily improving. Tight windows and layered throws have been coming to him much easier than the bulk of the QBs I have seen this spring. I love his leadership and intangibles just as much as anything he brings to the team physically. A true dual-threat QB with a strong arm and great athleticism. His speed, vision and legitimate change of direction proved to be an issue for defenses last year. A few highlights show him turning a no gain play into an explosive. Last season, these traits were a little raw, but I think with a little bit of refining this offseason, Arnold could be a huge breakout performer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
