We'll update our rankings in May, but that's still a month away. So, as I look through these 2027 rankings, I'm struck by the number of highly rated prospects without offers. Let's do our part to change that. In this piece, I'm using our Prep Redzone rankings to identify players worthy of college offers. In fact, I'd advocate that these six players are worthy of an offer right now.

Editor's Note: There are plenty of talented, unoffered players in the 2027 class that will play at the next level. In the interest of space, I'm using our rankings to identify players most deserving of being offered right now.

Byrd has the size and the speed to play Division I football. He functions best on the inside, where he can make plays in the running game, but he gets great depth on his zone drops and is an above-average pass defender. He's sub-six-foot, but on film, his length stands out. He's a guy with the strength to hold offensive linemen away from his body to shed tackles and make plays.

A quarterback-receiver hybrid, Sullivan's acceleration and contact balance are impressive. He's a long strider who can eat up a ton of ground in a short time, and he's never going to go down on first contact. I'm most impressed with his ability to maximize yards after the catch. Plays that should gain seven yards gain 10; catches that should go for 15 yards go for 20. His size, speed, and athletic abilities make him a high-upside candidate at the FCS level.

In a class full of undersized creators at the quarterback position, Boring is a tall, timing-based pocket passer with one of the quickest releases in the state. He consistently layers throws better than any passer in the state and gets the ball out both on time and in rhythm. His mechanics are refined, repeatable, and translatable to the next level, and once he earns his first offer, several others should follow.

Weycker is 6'3", 200 pounds, and moves like he's a defensive back. Despite missing his entire rising junior offseason with an Achilles injury, Weycker's tape last season makes it seem as if he never got hurt. He's a cross between an old-school thumper and a box safety with coverage skills. Whatever role he plays, he's going to make an impact, and it's just a matter of time until the recruiting floodgates open. He's also a high-academic offer candidate with the grades and work ethic to make it at an Ivy or Pioneer League program.

An all-state selection with over 1,100 yards as a junior, McClure is a two-way star for 4A Bandys. He tied for fourth in the state with 18 receiving touchdowns behind two Power Four signees and another guy with multiple FBS offers. McClure is elusive with the ball in his hands and one of the best in the state with the ball in the air. His first step after the catch is electric and routinely makes defenders look silly.

In my opinion, Martin is falling victim to the fact that colleges often underrecruit the eastern part of the state. A mauler in the running game with the ability to play any of the three interior offensive line positions, he excels at climbing to the second level and blocking linebackers in space. He has the size, technique, and explosive qualities needed to succeed at the next level.
