A quarterback-receiver hybrid, Sullivan’s acceleration and contact balance are impressive. He’s a long strider who can eat up a ton of ground in a short time, and he’s never going to go down on first contact. I’m most impressed with his ability to maximize yards after the catch. Plays that should gain seven yards gain 10; catches that should go for 15 yards go for 20. His size, speed, and athletic abilities make him a high-upside candidate at the FCS level.

It was interesting that Keenan decided to compete at wide receiver here, but apparently he is switching to this position from quarterback going into his senior year. The fact that he placed as a top receiver here was really impressive and speaks to him as an overall athlete. Keenan’s strength was making contested catches against tight coverage, which leads me to believe he’ll be a chain moving type of target who can make big catches in big situations for his team.

Sullivan and the Porter Ridge offense have taken a more measured approach this season than last year’s “feast or famine” offense. Part of that is trusting Sullivan more to see the whole field and spread the ball around, rather than using his big arm to hevae 50-50 balls toward the end zone. Honestly, we’d like to see him take a few more risks, but that versatility, combined with time in the weight room, has moved him up our rankings.

The Pirates signal-caller showed some nice efficiency in operating their attack in limited reps during their scrimmage. Keenan is showing strong dual-threat ability and smart decision-making in the passing game, and those are going to be essential for their success this season. His top target, Raishawn Elmore Raishawn Elmore 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Porter Ridge | 2026 State NC , didn’t play in this scrimmage, and his presence will help him a great deal once he is on the field.

A true dual-threat, it’s Sullivan’s subtle movements that make the biggest difference. He’s so good at making tiny adjustments both inside and outside the pocket to get his throws off accurately or make defenders miss in the open field. The arm will certainly work at the college level and it’s a matter of experience and improving his ability to read the defense more than it is about the physical talent.

Keenan had a very strong performance, and every time I see him, he does something that just impresses me at a high level. For this showcase, it was obvious he has worked out in the weight room because the ball was coming out much stronger on his throws overall compared to when I saw him live in the preseason last year. Keenan is able to fit the ball on some in-breaking routes now with nice pace and accuracy. I am not sure how the depth chart looks at Porter Ridge for the upcoming season, but I would feel good with this young man leading my team based on what I saw.

I first saw Keenan in a preseason jamboree, and he was playing because Porter Ridge’s starting quarterback suffered a preseason injury. Keenan operated with impressive poise, timing, and accuracy on his throws against a tough North Mecklenburg defense which featured Charles House Charles House 6'5" | 295 lbs | DL North Mecklenburg | 2025 State NC , a Tennessee commit, on the defensive line. When Porter Ridge coaches told me he was a sophomore, I was absolutely blown away. In some limited Varsity duty, Keenan threw for 5 touchdowns and rushed for another. By all accounts, he is a good kid, and he will wait his turn, but he has an opportunity to open some more eyes this offseason.

I usually have a good pulse on Union County and Sullivan still came out of nowhere. He hasn’t been asked to drop back and throw often, but he’s made the most of those opportunities with 14 completions for 231 yards through the first two games. He’s added another dynamic with his legs, averaging almost six yards a rush.
