Making a massive jump towards the very top of the 2027 rankings, Walker should see his new ranking inside the top-20 overall after an incredible junior season where he ran wild throughout the season, leading his Creekside team to a state-championship. The speedy 6-foot-1 200-pounder brings a physically-gifted frame with impressive burst, vision, and big-play ability. Walker ran for an eye-opening 1,669 yards 20 touchdowns last season, hitting the 100-yard mark nine times. The fantastic junior averaged an impressive 9.4 yards per carry and did it against quality competition on a weekly basis. Walker proved that he's easily one of the state's top running back prospects in the 2027 class.

A South Georgia back on the rise from Savannah who opened a lot of eyes last season, Smart Jr. is one of the fastest backs in that area of the state and proved it on a weekly basis. He's a slippery back who can be dangerous in the open field with the potential to score anytime he has the ball. He can change directions quickly, breaks tackles with ease, and can out-run defenders to the end-zone when getting to the second level. After a productive junior season where he rushed for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns, Smart will see a jump into the top-80 across the state in the 2027 class. The versatile back averaged just under seven yards per carry and should see his role increase even more next fall as a senior.

One of the more productive running backs across the state last season, the small-town back out of Jackson County deserves a giant jump in the latest rankings after a monster junior season in 2025. The max-effort, tackle-breaking back is one of the fastest backs in the area who also runs with authority. He can fly past defenders in the open field one carry and then run through two more defenders on another carry. He was tough to tackle all season long and ended his junior season with 1,888 yards and 26 touchdowns, averaging an impressive 7.8 yards per carry along the way. He ran for at least 100 yards in 10 games and scored multiple touchdowns in nine games. Now, he'll be ranked inside the top-100 in the next 2027 rankings update.

Already one of the state's highest-ranked backs in the 2027 class, Newkirk will see a small bump forward in the next update after another impressive season for the Gainesville Red Elephants. The 5-foot-11 200-pounder holds just about every offer in the book and it's easy to see why after he rushed for just under 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns, rushing for at least 100 yards in nine games with an average of 8.1 yards per carry. He's another physically-gifted back who can power through defenders with ease. He also brings impressive agility for his size and the ability to carry on offense on the ground. Look for Newkirk to find himself ranked in the top-15 across the state in the next 2027 rankings update.

A West Georgia back fresh off a "breakout" junior season, this small-town running back brings an impressive blend of size, speed, and versatility at 5-foot-10 195-pounds. He shows capable hands out of the backfield, the ability to help in the return game, and enough speed to out-run defenders down the field. He runs hard, eludes defenders in the open field, and didn't waste any time during his recruitment, committing to the Cincinnati Bearcats last fall. Now, Warner will see a bump in his Prep Redzone rankings, climbing into the top-100 after his big junior season where he ran for just under 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns. As a senior, look for Warner to carry the load and improve his numbers even more in 2026.
