*Use code "jackson30" at checkout for 30% off your PRZ subscription*

The North Fulton area is one of the fastest-growing areas in the region. Good football has been played here for decades, but it only continues to improve as the years go on. Here is a look at 8 traitsy prospects in this area that are grasping my attention, and deserve more recruiting buzz.

Terry is an extremely intriguing player with a rare skillset for his size. At 6'3 252, and with his body type, he is built more like a DL guy, but he moves like a TE. Downhill player who can threaten the field vertically, but at his size, he would thrive in a setting where he gets the ball in space, can roll downhill, and violently greet contact. Just rare movement skills for this kid, and he is flying way under the radar.

I am definitely intrigued with Fletcher and his upside after a watch. Fletcher is listed at 6'4 225, and he looks all of that, at least height and length-wise. He is a lean, long strider who can gallop around the field and cast a wide net as a tackler. Still, there is a lot of space to add more mass, tighten up mechanics, and take another step in his development. If small schools can get access to Fletcher, he will offer them a rare body type and all of the upside that comes with that.

Higdon gained a lot of valuable experience last year, and he should continue to improve. He is listed at 6'4 280, and might be better now than he was in the fall. I like the size, but I also like the athlete here. You can see it on tape. His foot speed is solid, he is flexible, and he explodes to contact. He is also a basketball athlete. Historically, OL guys who play basketball are a major indicator of athleticism. Along with his traits, he plays hard and should improve as a senior. Could see some late D1 love here.

A couple of D1 offers this offseason have sounded the bell for Price, but he has been on my radar since last spring. This kid passes the eye test and will stick out like a sore thumb this spring when coaches roll back around. He has still been creeping onto the varsity scene, with his senior season ultimately shaping up to be his breakout. Regardless, you can't argue with his traits, and he has some flash on tape. He is a good athlete who can play in space, with the size to battle with blockers. With his measurables, I wouldn't be shocked to see him slide down and project out as an EDGE full-time.

Pickard, moving into Milton from IMG Academy, is a massive player at 6'5 295 who will help bolster an already elite Milton offensive front. Pickard will probably project out as an IOL, but I think he could hold his own at all 5 spots given his strength and athleticism. He effortlessly displaces defenders, firing his feet and staying engaged through the whistle. He has the athleticism needed to tie his game together by occupying space in the second level and snapping off combo blocks. Pickard should sound P4 alarms over the next two years.

Workman is coming off a productive all-region junior season and is a hidden gem in this area as we head into spring ball. Workman is a two-way player who will project out as a safety. Well-developed, prototype frame with D1 level athleticism in the secondary. Workman has the ball skills to execute when in position, and he violently engages blockers when coming downhill. A lot to like about this kid. I think there is clear D1 talent here, even if that buzz hasn't fully materialized yet.

Sykes popped on my radar last fall, and I am not at all shocked to learn that he picked up a D1 offer from Eastern Kentucky this offseason. Sykes plays both ways, and I legitimately see a world where he sticks either as a DB or a receiver. He is an absolute burner with elite short-area quickness. He finds his top speed immediately, holds that top gear, and can lift off from any spot on the field. Those same traits help him stay in stride as a DB, but he flashes an intriguing edge as a defender. Both in coverage, against blockers, and against the ball carrier, he plays with violence and aggressiveness. Pound for pound, I think this is one of the best football players in the county.

Chastain was one of the most productive players against the ball last year in the state, and he does it on a stout, strong 6'2 195 frame. Chastain is just a really well-rounded, instinctual player. He can play the ball both as a centerfielder and when coming downhill. His strong frame helps him support the run game efficiently, as does his consistent run fits. High floor, well-rounded player who can upgrade a room at the next level.
