Inside Zionsville: Underclassmen Set to Make Big Impacts

The Eagles have recorded just 14 wins over the past four years since making the jump to 6A ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Still, there are plenty of reasons for optimism in Zionsville as the team returns a bevy of starters on both sides of the ball in Scott Turnquist's eighth season. We visited the school yesterday and got the latest intel. The tall, athletic, and very strong pass catcher with great hands has excellent leaping ability and high-points the ball. He can take remarkably tough hits and still come down with possession of the ball. Schott's ball skills are outstanding. Hoggs displays great adjustment to the ball, both high and low. He flashes burner speed and is a good route runner who can create separation on his own. At 6-foot-3, 181, Giles looks the part. He has good size, an accurate arm and throws a nice, catchable ball. Giles has enough mobility to be a threat with his legs when asked. Gabe has the potential to be an outstanding safety for the Eagles. He is a great run defender, takes great angles to the ball and is a proven tackler in space. Vinatieri makes a high impact for the team on special teams as a coverage defender, where his speed and pursuit angles are outstanding.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
