2027 Rankings: Under the Radar Receivers

Let's dive into my analysis.    Schembri measures in at 5'11 185-pounds. Last season, he had 20 carries for 133 yards with 2 touchdowns including 42 receptions for 675 yards with 7 touchdowns. Schembri has very good athletic ability due to very good change of direction, balance, speed, good jumping, and acceleration. Good release at the line of scrimmage. Schembri has very good separation quickness. Uses his short area quickness to create separation or he'll fight through contact to get open. Very good catching with good ball tracking skills. He holds onto the ball while getting hit. After the catch, he uses his home run speed and elusiveness to break free into the endzone. Uses his balance and strength to break tackles with his trucking and stiff arm. Schembri has shown good pass protection as well. Look for him to explode onto the scene.     Ochs measures in at 6'5 180-pounds. He had 30 receptions for 434 yards with 4 touchdowns. Ochs has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, jumping, and good change of direction. Ochs thrives against the press jam and does well against off coverage. He has very good separation quickness. Outruns the DB or LB at the top of the route, fights through contact, or finds a void to exploit for the easy catch. Very good adjustment to the ball in flight. Very good body control to contort his body and make the catch. Very good ball tracking and catching. Ochs thrive as a contested catch specialist. Makes catches with no separation and uses his strong hands to hold onto the ball. After the catch, he'll blaze past defenders or truck through them. Very good blocker as well. He's a great prospect that would succeed at the next level.     Rathbun is another big body target who plays two-ways. He plays WR/FS accounting for 24 receptions for 328 yards with 3 touchdowns, 12 total tackles (5 solo, 7 assisted), including 2 interceptions. A rare mixture of size and speed. He has good athletic ability due to very good jumping, speed, good change of direction and acceleration. Good release paired with good separation quickness. Rathbun has very good ball adjustment skills. He adjusts to his over the shoulder throws with ease. Very good ball tracking skills and catching. Large catch radius. Very good body control. Keeps his feet in bounds on sideline catches with toe taps. I'm excited to see more from Rathbun this upcoming season!     Lockwood is an athlete for Monarch. He plays RB, WR, and DB. He measures in at 5'11 170-pounds. Last season, he had 27 carries for 388 yards with 6 touchdowns, 17 receptions for 218 yards with 2 touchdowns, 22 total tackles (11 solo, 11 assisted), 2 TFL, with 1 INT. Lockwood has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, balance, speed, jumping, and change of direction. Very good vision. He picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. If the gap is covered, he'll use his dynamic jump cuts to pivot into the open one. Effortlessly glides through the defense. Consistently gains yards after contact by bouncing off defenders or breaking tackles. As a receiver, he uses his very good separation quickness to break free from defenders and get open. Uses his very good ball tracking and catching to come down with the catch. Fluid route running and very good ball adjustment skills. Lockwood is a beast and deserves more looks on the college circuit.     Lewis measures in at 5'9 150-pounds. He had 23 receptions for 345 yards with 2 touchdowns, and 4 kickoff returns for 113 yards. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, speed, and good jumping. Uses his quick feet to beat the DB at the line of scrimmage. Very good release. Very good separation quickness due to his speed and finding voids in the zone. Lewis comes back to his QB during the scramble drill for the easy completion. He has very good ball tracking and catching skills. Uses his suction hands to come down with the catch. After the catch, he'll use his home run speed and elusiveness to make defenders miss and break free into the endzone. Look for a big season from him.
