has a tremendous blend of speed and body control. He can truly stop on a dime and reaccelerate quickly which helps him in the open field to break tackles and get in and out of breaks. He does a great job coming back and attacking underthrown balls. Along the same lines, he does a great job adjusting to balls throw away from his body – proving he has tremendous ball tracking skills. Jax is a monster on double moves, getting DBs to stop their feet and fly by them deep showing off his top-end speed. Jax also does a good job identifying man vs zone coverage and getting on the same page with his QB to run the most opportune route pre-snap.

Lewis has been on my radar since he was a freshman. The 5’9 150-pound shifty receiver had 49 receptions for 710 yards and 8 touchdowns. Lewis has some fantastic receiving skills. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, change of direction, and jumping. Very good release against both off coverage and press release. Very good separation quickness due to his athletic ability and outrunning the DB at the top of the route. Lewis makes very quick and crisp cuts while route running. He has good sideline awareness keeping both feet in bounds. Very good catching and ball tracking skills. He adjusts his body, elevates, and uses his suction hands to grab the ball. After the catch, he uses his very dynamic juke moves to make defenders miss. He also has home run speed to run past everyone. Lewis is a MUST know name to watch out of the 2027 sophomore class of WRs.
