How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Abbott Lockwood, is an explosive runner and a lockdown cornerback. Known for his game-breaking speed and instinctive ability to find open running lanes, Abbott consistently energizes the offense. His keen vision allows him to anticipate defensive movements, make quick cuts, and evade defenders.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

This season, Abbott shifted to the “H” back position, utilizing his strong hands and agility to catch passes in traffic. His impressive 10.88 100m dash time earned him a spot on the All-State Second Team in Colorado as a sophomore, highlighting his speed and athleticism. He excels at executing jet sweeps and is a dedicated, tough blocker when required.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Beyond football, Abbott shows a strong commitment to community service, volunteering with Special Olympics and actively participating in his church youth group. Academically, he maintains a 3.8 GPA and exhibits high football IQ. With his dedication, talent, and work ethic, Abbott Lockwood is a promising athlete with a bright future in football.

What type of college are you looking for?

Abbott comes from a family with a rich football legacy. His father, Scott Lockwood, was a High School All-American RB who set Colorado's all-time rushing record. Lockwood is an athlete for Monarch. He plays RB, WR, and DB. He measures in at 5’11 170-pounds. Last season, he had 27 carries for 388 yards with 6 touchdowns, 17 receptions for 218 yards with 2 touchdowns, 22 total tackles (11 solo, 11 assisted), 2 TFL, with 1 INT. Lockwood has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, balance, speed, jumping, and change of direction. Very good vision. He picks, slides, and accelerates into the open hole. If the gap is covered, he’ll use his dynamic jump cuts to pivot into the open one. Effortlessly glides through the defense. Consistently gains yards after contact by bouncing off defenders or breaking tackles. As a receiver, he uses his very good separation quickness to break free from defenders and get open. Uses his very good ball tracking and catching to come down with the catch. Fluid route running and very good ball adjustment skills. Lockwood is a beast and deserves more looks on the college circuit.
