2027 Rankings: Meet the Top Five OL's

The new 2027 rankings are officially released. And with over 100 new players, and multiple players positions changing, and new additions to the top five at each position, we will take a look at the new top five at each position, and what makes them worthy of a top ranking in the state of New York.   The Summer Reigonal Exposure Showcases are back, and New York has one on May 23rd. Other states will also host events. The Monroe Prospect is fresh off a state championship and is easily one of the top prospects across the state. This 2027 class is so talented that unfortunately he slots in outside of the top 10. Jones stands at 6'4" 285-Pounds, displaying a good frame for a lineman.   Jones is an outstanding prospect, who displays an elite balance of strength, and footwork as a lineman. Jones moves well off the line, and his hand placement is perfect. He understands leverage well and can deter smaller rushers with ease. Jones is by far a D1 prospect, and tons of colleges across the country agree.     Our second ranked lineman takes us to Cortland High School, where we see [player_tooltip player_id='1393790' first='Cole' last='Meeker']. The Cortland prospect, has an elite frame, measuring in at 6'9" 290-Pounds. He once again finds himself as the second ranked lineman in our 2027 class, and for good reason.   Meeker is a massive prospect, who given his elite frame, can play anywhere across the line. I like him more as a Tackle, but the Guard Position does show some good tape. Meeker is quick off the line, and displays a good first step, setting him up in the pass blocking game. His strength is elite, and he can easily overpower defenders, pancaking them with ease.     Our third ranked lineman, takes us to Stillwater High School, for [player_tooltip player_id='1208311' first='James' last='Cocozzo']. Standing at 6'4" 295-Pounds, Cocozzo, displays a good frame for a Lineman. He has elite versatility, and can play at multiple positions, including LB.   Cocozzo, projects mainly as a Tackle on the field, but has the strength and physicality to play as a Guard. On the line, he displays good footwork and understands leverage, allowing him to deter opposing rushers out of position. He displays good strength, and can create gaps in the run game.     Heading back up North, we head to Webster Schroeder, where we see [player_tooltip player_id='1393791' first='Brysen' last='Terry']. The 6'5" 330-Pound Lineman, displays an elite frame for the Lineman position, and is one of the many physical specimens in this 2027 class.   Terry displays an elite IQ on the line, and excels at reaching the next level or picking up blockers, to enhance the run game, and the RPO schemes. He displays good footwork, with an elite first step that sets up his strength to knock players out of position.     Rounding up our top five, is [player_tooltip player_id='501365' first='Jireh' last='Aleaga']. The Fort Hamilton Lineman, played his first season of New York football in 2025, and made a big impression on scouts. Standing at 6'4" 310-Pounds, he displays an elite frame for the lineman position.   Puka was mainly used as a Tackle in the Fort Hamilton system, but with his frame, I also like his ability to kick inside and play as a Guard. He has an outstanding IQ, and demonstrates great footwork off the LOS. I like his ability to be used as a Pull Tackle, as he can easily create big gaps in the line. His strength is evident, and he knocks players down with ease.
