Lincoln Southeast's [player_tooltip player_id='1085163' first='Brooks' last='Gordon'] is a sleeper prospect who flashed high upside on defense last season and should play a bigger role on offense this fall. Brooks ended his junior season with 54 tackles, an interception, a fumble recovery, 57 receiving yards, and a receiving touchdown. Brooks projects best as a safety at the next level, where he can use his blend of size (6'2", 180 lbs), instincts, and range to be used in coverage or as another big body to stack the box against the run. He is a quick read and can pick up on route concepts right away, allowing him to break on the ball and get to a spot to defend the pass. Gordon takes good angles to the ball with the closing speed to get there quickly and is a good tackler at the point of attack. Willing run defender. I'm intrigued by Brooks as a receiver, where he flashed good hands and some moves after the catch. Big season loading for Brooks!

(@HarbZane)

GINW's [player_tooltip player_id='1085631' first='Zane' last='Harb'] returns after leading the Vikings defense in tackles as a junior. Zane was highly productive in 2025, tallying 95 tackles, four interceptions (one return for a TD), and a forced fumble. Watching Zane's tape, I was really impressed with his upside as an off-ball linebacker who can quickly flip his hips to drop into coverage. He reads the field very well and does a great job of lurking his zone, often lulling QBs into bad throws that result in his four INTs. Zane has great lateral quickness that keeps him in-step with crossing receivers. He has no issue throwing his bigger frame (6'2", 180 lbs) when going for the tackle or using his lengthy reach to challenge receivers at the catch point. Zane also looked solid when defending the run and showed he can be disruptive at the LOS when trying to pressure the QB. Harb also contributed on offense and special teams with 167 rushing yards, 34 receiving yards, a rushing touchdown, a receiving touchdown, and a punt return TD. Checks the boxes for a next-level LB!

It was quite the season for dual-threat QB [player_tooltip player_id='1085898' first='Wyatt' last='Pollet'], who made an immediate impact in his first season with the Aurora Huskies. Wyatt gashed defenses with his arm and legs as he ended the year with 1,167 passing yards, 1,156 rushing yards, nine passing touchdowns, and nine rushing touchdowns. As a passer, Wyatt looks very smooth, throwing the ball with a natural release that can deliver it with great zip. He can connect on passes to all three levels of the field and flashed the ability to make accurate passes to the outside and into tight windows between the seams. Pollet displays great poise in the pocket with the mobility to maneuver around pass rushers while keeping his eyes downfield scanning for open targets. Wyatt is a gritty runner who is hard to catch and even harder to bring down. He has a twitchy change of direction that allows him to elude defenders in the open field and underrated speed to break away. Wyatt won't go down on initial contact as he'll look to dish out a stiff arm or keep his legs pumping as he fights through tackle attempts. Sleeper QB who is only starting to scratch the surface of his potential!

Lincoln Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='1210742' first='Jamaar' last='Clark'] is an interesting player who is also just starting to tap into his potential. Jamaar played on both offense and defense for the Falcons last year, ending with 15 tackles, three TFLs, and 72 receiving yards. Having watched Jamaar at some of our showcases, I like his upside at tight end, where he can be a true throwback who is a nasty blocker in the run game and helps move the chains in the passing game. He's a bigger-bodied receiver at 6'2" and 245 pounds who moves surprisingly well through his routes and can use his size to create mismatches. Defensively, Jamaar plays with a good first step and quick hands, helping him make initial contact at the point of attack. He is strong through his base, allowing him to drive blockers off the ball. Up-and-comer ready for a big year!

The Omaha North Vikings get a HUGE boost to their OL room in the form of transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1204466' first='Malik' last='Nichols']. Malik was already high on my radar as one of the top prospects in Iowa after a stellar three seasons at Council Bluffs Jefferson. Right off the bat, Malik possesses the next-level size at 6'3" and 280 pounds with solid length to his frame. Malik stands out with his mobility and athleticism, flashing the footwork to quickly get set in pass protection, and he can climb to the second level/pull very well as a run blocker. Very reactive as a pass blocker with the ability to handle speed and power rushers. Nichols' mean streak also stood out on tape as he was constantly looking to finish blocks in the dirt and would play through the whistle. Good bend, hand usage/placement, and explosiveness off the ball. Look for a big debut for Malik on our next 2027 rankings update!
