We are close to releasing our 2027 rankings update before the summer, but before we unveil those, I wanted to put out some tidbits to hold everyone over. Here are five players who have been impressing in the spring evaluation process and could make some massive moves this summer with some strong camp showings.

Make sure to add these five seniors to your radar ASAP:

Kicking things off is sturdy Bennington lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1699284' first='Brett' last='Langan'], who is coming off a great junior season starting at right tackle. The Badgers have produced some top-tier talent in the trenches recently, and Brett is no exception, bringing a good mix of athleticism, technique, and experience. Watching Brett's tape, I was impressed with the mobility and power that he possesses in his base. He showed clean footwork in his pass sets, allowing him to get to his spot with ease, as well as being able to mirror and corral pass rushers. Brett's mobility also extends to the run game, as he can get out in space and climb to the second level. Langan shows good hip bend, allowing him to maintain proper leverage when engaged, and he can generate a lot of power from his base to drive defenders off the ball. Strong, heavy hands with good placement when shooting at defenders. To top it all off, Brett also likes to make sure he finishes his blocks with a big pancake. With some time in a college training program, I can see Brett easily bulk up his frame. Could be moved inside at the collegiate level. Surprising to see Brett still waiting on his first offer... get after him ASAP!

Creighton Prep's [player_tooltip player_id='1085149' first='Ayron' last='Shaw'] has been busy putting in some work this offseason, and it's showing in his recent uptick in recruiting attention. Ayron was a handful for opposing offenses last season as he tallied 18 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, and five sacks. When evaluating Ayron, the first thing that stands out is that he has put on about 30 pounds this offseason and is now listed at 270 pounds, which is huge in the trenches. This added bulk will make him even more powerful when looking to generate a push at the LOS. When you cut on the tape, you see a lengthy defensive lineman who can line up at the 3-tech, 5-tech, or even out wide, where he can use his quick first step and bend to beat tackles around the edge. His lengthy reach allows him to make contact with linemen before they can get a hold of him, and he is then able to follow through with a powerful rush as he drives through their chest. He tracks the ball when engaged with blockers and displays an excellent pursuit/motor to go after the ball once he's broken free. Shaw isn't just a power rusher, as he's shown that he can use quick twitch and shiftiness to execute stunts, twists, etc., and get across a lineman's face. Strong run defender and disruptive pass rusher. Missouri Western State, Sioux Falls, Drake (D1), Wayne State, Morningside, and Nebraska-Kearney have all offered Ayron so far.

The Red Raiders look primed to make another run at Memorial next fall, especially with players like senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='1700538' first='Kale' last='Kaiser'] leading the defense. Kale flashed in his first season as a starter for the Red Raiders, ending the year with 58 tackles, a TFL, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions. Immediately, Kale looks the part at 6'3" and 190 pounds, with great length and room to continue filling out his frame. Kale's off-ball ability stood out on tape as he can fluidly flip his hips to drop into coverage while having the range to cover large chunks of the field. He is just as impressive when defending the run, showing great instincts for filling in his gaps, and can absolutely blow up the edge to breakdown outside runs. Kaiser is physical at the point of attack and can usually come out the victor when meeting an opposing back in the hole. When he was allowed to pin his ears back and get after the QB, Kale flashed a quick first step that made it hard for slower tackles to contain him coming off the edge, and was just as quick to close on the ball once he broke into the backfield. High football IQ, good communicator on defense, and always in a good position to make a play, all good traits you love to see in an LB. Kale also contributed nine receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and could see his offensive role grow with graduation taking away some production. Kale has received an offer from Wayne State but is also drawing interest from other high-level D2 and D1 programs.

Fremont receiver/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1086177' first='Hudson' last='Jennings'] is a player who has had some top-tier programs keep tabs on him and could bust out for a big summer camp cycle. Jennings was the Tigers' leading receiver as he tallied 37 receptions for 569 yards and four touchdowns, with an additional 32 tackles and an interception on defense. The biggest thing that stands out about Hudson's tape is his underrated speed, which allows him to break away for a bomb over top or tack on huge chunks after a quick dump-off. His release off the line and ability to explode downfield really make defenses respect him as a downfield threat. Hudson showed that he can attack all three levels of the field with his route running and can create separation at the top of the route. Good footwork, explosiveness through the stem, and sharp at the breakoff point. At 6'0" and 185 pounds, Hudson also has some solid size to be physical with DBs, either keeping them from pressing him at the LOS or by outmuscling them at the catch point. Reliable hands with good concentration. At safety, I really liked Hudson's vision and sharp instincts in coverage. He sees the field very well and has a quick first step that allows him to close on the ball in a hurry. Jennings currently has a trio of offers from Peru State, Midland, and Morningside, and should see that list grow this offseason.

Millard North's [player_tooltip player_id='1192414' first='Drew' last='Nelsen'] had several big flashes last season and should be able to put it all together for an even bigger senior campaign. The Mustang's backer ended the year with an impressive 70 tackles, 11 TFLs, two sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Drew really impresses with a well-rounded skill set that can see him play up near the line of scrimmage or out in space against a TE/WR. He is very instinctive and quick to react when reading his keys, showing he can break downhill to get after RBs or fly out to defend the flats with ease. He can also pick up crossing receivers over the middle of the field while showing he can play the ball at the catch point. His size and strength also allow him to be disruptive at the LOS when defending the run, as he can blow up blockers with his initial punch or anchor down with his powerful base to hold the edge and force runs back inside. Great closing speed to the ball and uses great technique to secure the stop. Drew was also very productive on offense with 23 receptions for 287 yards and two touchdowns at the tight end position. Overall, a very versatile athlete who passes the eye test and checks most of the boxes coaches will look for.
