The Red Raiders look primed to make another run at Memorial next fall, especially with players like senior LB Kale Kaiser Kale Kaiser 6'3" | 190 lbs | LB Sidney | 2027 State NE leading the defense. Kale flashed in his first season as a starter for the Red Raiders, ending the year with 58 tackles, a TFL, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions. Immediately, Kale looks the part at 6’3″ and 190 pounds, with great length and room to continue filling out his frame. Kale’s off-ball ability stood out on tape as he can fluidly flip his hips to drop into coverage while having the range to cover large chunks of the field. He is just as impressive when defending the run, showing great instincts for filling in his gaps, and can absolutely blow up the edge to breakdown outside runs. Kaiser is physical at the point of attack and can usually come out the victor when meeting an opposing back in the hole. When he was allowed to pin his ears back and get after the QB, Kale flashed a quick first step that made it hard for slower tackles to contain him coming off the edge, and was just as quick to close on the ball once he broke into the backfield. High football IQ, good communicator on defense, and always in a good position to make a play, all good traits you love to see in an LB. Kale also contributed nine receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns, and could see his offensive role grow with graduation taking away some production. Kale has received an offer from Wayne State but is also drawing interest from other high-level D2 and D1 programs.

There’s another Kaiser playing linebacker for the Red Raiders, and he looks ready to make a name for himself in year three. The younger of the two Sidney Kaiser brothers, Kale, is an interesting prospect who flew under the radar as a sophomore, recording 27 tackles and an interception. Kale is a tall, lengthier linebacker at 6’3″, 185 pounds, with room to continue filling out his frame in the next few seasons. When watching Kale’s tape, I see a high-IQ linebacker who sees and calls things out pre-snap and is sharp when reading his keys and diagnosing the play. He breaks on the ball and fills his gaps quickly while showing the toughness to meet ball carriers in the hole. Another part of Kale’s game that stood out was his ability to take on blocks at the line of scrimmage, as he showed that he can be physical and not give up ground at the point of contact before shedding the block to continue his pursuit. He flashes good lateral quickness with sideline-to-sideline range and is fluid in coverage. Keep an eye out for this playmaker out in the Panhandle!
