2027 Names to Know From WI Small Schools

That tradition has us back and digging through the small school landscape to find that next wave of talent. After my deep dive I came away with 10 athletes, some ranked and some new to my radar, that college coaches are going to want to at least have on their radar. This group is comprised of completely 2027s. Ayden is simply one of the best ball carriers in his Class. Coaches are going to love watching his tape. The 2027 RB is always gaining yards. Even when picking through traffic he seems to always be getting downhill. Ayden brings a very a well balanced attack to the field too. He is someone who can make you miss with a cut or churn his legs through arm tackles and keep his balance through hard hits. Plus he offers that receiving threat out of the backfield. The kid thrives in scenarios where he can let his powerful 6' 210 lbs frame do the dirty work. As a junior Calum earned All State honors at RB and LB while also bringing home a State Championship. That old school power and contact balance are supported by the athleticism needed to either break off the long carry or flow sideline to sideline at LB. The physically dominant 2027 is only going to continue to rise up our boards. Kolton helped lead Coleman deep into the playoffs with his rushing abilities. His speed is well utilized in the Coleman offense where he is able to get to top speed while attacking the edges of the defense. Give this kid a seam and he can gash you for big chunks. Kolton does a great job of attacking too. He isn't someone who will waste time dancing or juking even though he is more of a scat back type of athlete. He just attacks aggressively with that speed. Over and over he keeps his balance after getting tripped up or ripping through arm tackles. The junior is also able to slip through small slivers of daylight and turn it into big plays. Once he gets some space the athletic RB can create big plays. Collen has a fantastic frame at 6'5" 265 lbs to continue to build on at the next level. Collen fits well into the run heavy offense of Mayville. When he can get on his path and get those strong hands clamped onto his man the 2027 is able to drive his defender wherever he needs to. Once he gets engaged Collen has the athleticism to stay square on his man while resetting the line of scrimmage. The Manitowoc Lincoln edge defender is such a versatile athlete. He has the length to rush the edge and the speed to put pressure on OTs that they need to get out of their stance quickly to cut him off. We also see several flashes of surprising strength to take on blocks against the outside run. On top of it the 6'3" 190 lbs junior will also play in the slot or back as more of a safety at times. Garrett has a solid frame with some length to provide a larger catch radius, but it is the body control, acceleration out of his breaks and savvy tricks that give him so much consistent success out wide. The 6'2" 185 lbs 2027 QB led C-FC to a State appearance with the help of his impressive dual threat abilities. Parker is a left handed passer and the arm talent is impressive. He can have the ball jumping out of his hand and there is no hesitation to be aggressive and let it fly deep downfield. Parker is a poised athlete who will stand in the pocket before turning to his athleticism. It is excellent athleticism too. The type of speed that could open up the chance for him to play other positions if college coaches wanted. Parker is able to quickly pick through traffic and then hit that second gear in the open field. Asher is a runner who is going to be one cut and go. There is no time wasted behind the line or dancing in the hole. The '27 RB also does well running his feet through contact and picking up yards after contact or at least falling forward to end plays.
