Joel Gomez is among the Division I prospects in New Hampshire's 2027 class, and received an offer from UMass -- his first Division I offer -- earlier this year. Gomez is a shade under 6-foot-6 and weighs 215 pounds. Although he's a tight end, Gomez was flexed out the majority of the time last season, often drawing double coverage. He has good body control, a large catch radius and soft hands. He does not fight the football when it's in the air, and his frame allows him to rise up and make catches in traffic. Since he plays in a triple-option offense he'll need to refine his route-running, particularly when changing direction. He's deceptively fast, and can gain separation with his long strides once he reaches top speed. Gomez has also shown himself to be a willing and effective blocker in the run game. Also an exceptional basketball player, Gomez will likely play outside linebacker as well as tight end during the 2026 season.

After sustaning a broken foot midway through his sophomore season, [player_tooltip player_id='2103999' first='Devin' last='Van Avery'] blossomed as a junior, when he became Londonderry's go-to receiving threat. He has all the tools required to be an exceptional receiver -- speed, jumping ability, hand-eye coordination as well as a big wingspan. Van Avery has also shown the ability to make contested catches, and he plays in a program that has had success producing players who can contribute at the college level. He also made big plays on defense from his safety position last season, when he led the Lancers in interceptions. In addition, he was one of Londonderry's punters and his speed made him a run threat from punt formation. With improved consistency, he will be one of the top receivers in New Hampshire as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='580842' first='Justin' last='Fish'] was one of the most productive receivers in the Granite State last season, when he helped Nashua South reach the Division I semifinals. He has shown the ability to run deep routes and work underneath as well. Fish is dangerous whenever he has the ball, as his ability to run after a catch may be his No. 1 strength. He will make defenses pay if they don't rally to the football. He's good at making defenders miss, which also made him a big-play threat on kickoff returns last season. Fish is a bit undersized for a receiver and must work on his ball security, but he's a physical defensive player who doesn't hesitate when needed in run support. He currently weighs 185 pounds, and would likely have no issues moving from cornerback to safety for his senior season. A member of the Nashua South basketball team, Fish is a candidate to play on either side of the ball in college.

Experience isn't an issue for [player_tooltip player_id='1455064' first='Nate' last='Bowen'], who was Bishop Guertin's starting quarterback during his sophomore and junior seasons. Production hasn't been an issue either, as he will enter his senior year with 4, 213 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns. Bowen isn't scared to put the ball in tight windows and is often at his best in big games. He completed 12-of-16 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns without an interception during a loss against unbeaten Bedford last season. Bowen displays good body language on the field, even after bad plays. He must make better risk/reward decisions, which will cut down on his number of interceptions (13 last season). Ball security is another area that needs improvement, but overall he's an exceptional passer who can extend plays with his mobility. He is on the short list of top New Hampshire quarterbacks entering the 2026 season.

Rocco Roy was nothing if not consistent last season, when he was used primarily as a slot receiver on offense and made at least one catch in each of Bishop Guertin's 11 games. He had multiple catches in 10 of those 11 contests, and at least one TD reception in seven games. Roy has a high football IQ and clearly understands pass coverage, which allows him to run away from defenders and find space. He's not a blazer, but has good game speed. Roy also excels on defense, where he often covers the opponents' top receiver. Roy, who can play in the slot or outside the numbers, played at about 165 pounds last season, so adding more good weight will make him even more attractive to college coaches.
