FORT LAUDERDALE – While Sunday's Rivals Miami Elite Camp at St. Thomas Aquinas High School attracted outstanding receivers, running backs, quarterbacks, defensive back, linemen and linebackers, one of the positions that truly stole the show were the offensive linemen.

Not usually known for churning out elite offensive line talent, the state of Florida is changing – with so many quality instructors and coaches helping to elevate the position as college coaches are now starting to flock to the Sunshine State for the “big men”.

TATUM NAMED MVP OF THE EVENT

On a day when several offensive linemen stepped up and made an impact during testing and drills, it was someone who has been on the radar for nearly two years who impressed the coaches and media.

Fort Pierce John Carroll four-star standout [player_tooltip player_id='665989' first='Sean' last='Tatum'], who is being recruited by dozens of colleges throughout the country, won MVP honors after dominating at both tackle and guard against top recruits.

While Tatum was indeed one of the best, there were several other rising seniors (2027) who turned heads. Among those included national recruits Mark Matthews (Fort Lauderdale St Thomas Aquinas), Zaquan Linton (Wellington Palm Beach Central) and Reed Ramsier (Orlando First Academy) to name a few.

In addition, other 2027 linemen who shined included Bryce Norrie (Land O'Lakes), Jayden Dean (Fort Lauderdale Saint Thomas Aquinas), Colt Hauser (West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman), Devon Munnings (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna), Mylo-Elijah Tshinkola (Coral Gables), Gerren Bray (Fort Lauderdale Saint Thomas Aquinas), Aiden Hartnett (Plantation American Heritage), Colin Urrea (Community School of Naples), Amari Cherenfant (Hollywood McArthur), Zane Keric (Naples Saint John Neumann), Cooper Hixon (Miami Westminster Christian), Ronald Riley (Miami True North Classical Academy), Nico Ramos (Plantation American Heritage), Bryce Daniels (Gainesville Buchholz) and Giovanni Garner (Miami Carol City).

UNDERCLASSMEN ALSO MADE A STATEMENT

While that rising senior class group showcased their skills, there were some younger line prospects that also did their thing. Among those 2028 rising juniors were Cayden Gatling (Wellington Palm Beach Central), John O'Dwyer (Ponte Vedra Nease), George Selvie III (Riverview Sumner), Andrew Pisani (Fort Pierce John Carroll), JaSiah Thomas (West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman), Nijal Thigpen (Miami Carol City), Semaj Robinson (Miami Carol City), Jamarian Wilson (Miami Central) and Laulelei “Deuce” Sualevai (Miami Christopher Columbus). There was also Class of 2029 rising sophomore Jamarion Thomas (Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna).
