ORLANDO – Last week when Rivals.com took their camp and combine to Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas for the Miami stop in this annual showcase, very little attention was paid to [player_tooltip player_id='1682747' first='Aiden' last='Hartnett']. Things changed this past Sunday at Bishop Moore Catholic High School.

The Under Armour Next event – with many of the same prospects that competed under a different umbrella the week before looked at the 6'3, 285-pound Plantation American Heritage line prospect a bit differently as he would bring home the MVP award, and while it was a week later, showed the coaches, recruiting analysts and media that he is indeed one of the best in the nation.

To understand how hard this quality prospect has worked the past two years while helping to lead his team to a state championship is something that very few had a clue about.

He attends every event, works year-round and even started to wrestle to give himself more of an advantage as a line prospect. What he did on Sunday in Orlando was no different than what he did the week before – just miles from his home in Fort Lauderdale. The difference this week is more people watched him win one-on-one battles and make the most of his opportunities.

On addition to what he does on the football field, “Big Country”, as he is called by many, also has made an impact in the classroom with a 3.8 Grade Point Average.

Aiden Hartnett, Plantation American Heritage.

HARTNETT LEADS THE WAY FOR 2027 PROSPECTS

While Hartnett brought home the MVP, he wasn't the only who was impressive on this day. There were several other rising seniors (2027) who showcased their skills.

Among those prospects included Adarian Dotson (Titusville Astronaut), Jayden Dean (Fort Lauderdale Saint Thomas Aquinas), Marcus Small (Jacksonville First Coast), Jack Mazurek (Orlando Lake Nona), Rashad Fuller (Miami Palmetto), Gerren Bray (Fort Lauderdale Saint Thomas Aquinas), Colin Urrea (Community School of Naples), Aiden Toney (Sebring), Zane Keric (Naples Saint John Neumann) and Jamarian Wilson (Miami Central).

The class also featured Zaquan Linton (Wellington Palm Beach Central), Christian Bond (Saint Augustine), Reed Ramsier (Orlando The First Academy), Charles Grubbs (Panama City Bay), Sean Hassan (Ponte Vedra), Bryce Daniels (Gainesville Buchholz), Aaron Lucero (Orlando Jones), Michael Robinson III (Port St. Lucie Centennial), Giovanni Garner (Miami Carol City) and Masen Tye Price (Orlando The First Academy).

UNDERCLASSMEN ALSO TURNED SO HEADS AS WELL

While the rising senior (2027) class did their thing and were recognized, the younger prospects were also on display with Class of 2028 rising juniors Jeremiah Brown (Panama City Bay), Omari Lawson (Jacksonville Zarephath Academy), John O'Dwyer (Ponte Vedra Nease), George Selvie III (Riverview Sumner), Fenway Cochrane (Clermont Eastridge), Zayden Gatling (Wellington Palm Beach Central) and Quinston Howard (Saint Petersburg Catholic). Class of 2029 rising sophomore Atreyu Creantor (Orlando University) also made an impression.
