Program Spotlight: Kennett HS at the PRZ PA Winter Showcase

<p class="text-gray-700">6'4, 335 pounds. 3.2 GPA. Named a top five OL performer post-camp. Helped Kennett to a 9-3 record. Can play both sides of the football. Great weight room performer from what I can tell, outside looking in. </p>   <p>I applaud his willingness to prove his worth at both tackle and guard during OL/DL 1v1s. Moved much better than I expected a 330+ pound IOL/OT prospect would. First rep in his 1v1 edit shows he can recover with foot speed and lateral agility. Foot speed and lat agility will likley never be Scime's calling card of course, yet it's still nice to see him work positively in these areas from an evaluators perspective. Lower back strength, base balance and hand-striking are certainly pluses in his game. The major takeaway from his performance is easily the testing numbers he put up. </p>   <p>166 pounds, 5'9 3/8, 6'2" wingspan, 4.53 40 time, a time he basically replicated twice. 4.46 shuttle time, 9'6 broad jump at his height, 7.59 L Drill. This is all ammunition at Ritch's disposal to help him get recruited by potential collegiate suitors, regardless the level. He'll always be able to stand on these verified numbers. I'll have to give good thought as to whether or not he deserves a bump in rank. I know college coaches will harp on measurables, I personally wouldn't drop this kid on boards based on H/W alone. </p>   <p>4.72 40 time, 4.31 shuttle. I have gone on record in the past expressing how talented I think this young man is. I won't get into his multi-faceted game, but more so what his MVP performance could do for his recruiting. Carbajal came in and proved he was the best wideout in attendance, overwhelmingly so. MVP and Top Performer gimmicks aside, no one, not coahces or writers present, could deny Carbajal's talents. If he can replicate this type of showing everywhere he goes moving forward, his recruiting will have no choice but to spike. He proved he's capable of standing out, now to get to where he wants to go, he should have the confidence moving forward that he can do just that. He'll have me in his back pocket as an advocate of his game. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/PRZVicCastillo/status/2015899599731319137?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Much like [player_tooltip player_id='953130' first='Joalex' last='Carbajal'], I've gone on record singing TE [player_tooltip player_id='953132' first='Croix' last='Kise']'s praises both via on and off the field performances. </p>   <p>Admittedly, it would have been tough for Kise to drop on our rankings as a result of his performance. I feel strongly about his potential as a soon-to-be senior TE. I'll reevaluate Kise nonetheless. A verified 6'5, 235 pounds. 4.72 shuttle at his weight is a solid number. 6'7 wingspan is another solid #. Was named to a post-event All-Camp team. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Tylerscime68/status/2015088963728351648?s=20 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Having Reidenberg and Taylor in attendance so that I can learn more about their recruiting ceiling and development potential meant more to me than seeing some of the Kennett names I've become familiar with over the years. </p>   <p>Seeing Reidenberg up close, working beside other RBs and against a very talented backer group, I feel infinitely more comfortable ranking him among his 2028 peers. Where, however, I'm still unsure. My colleagues and RB coaches spoke relatively well about his individual and 1v1 work. Ultimately, his tape evaluation will likely matter most in regards to future ranking. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Ranked as a high-end DII prospect heading into his senior year at Kennett. Coupled with Reidenberg as the two Kennett prospects I wanted to learn more about. 6'1, 175 pounds. 3.6 GPA. Nine interceptions and 80+ tackles, five scores. A well-rounded prospect who was a bit pigeon-holed at this event. DB was loaded, Taylor didn't take home Top DB honors yet it won't hurt his stock in the slightest. Taylor will earn recruiting buzz and traction among college coaches mostly because of his on-field versatility.
