We made it. During the last few months, Prep Redzone Iowa has updated its 2026-2028 Class rankings and released its initial 2029 Watch List.

More updates will be arriving in the spring as we dig into more film. So, if you haven't yet put together highlights from the 2025 season, there's time to post them before we reevaluate. It will run out quickly, however.

Here's a look at new batch of guys to have on your radar:

The normal disclaimer applies when reading a long-snapper evaluation from me - knowledge of the position is limited. Watching a ton of football through the years does provide information for what makes a good one, however. Galbraith has that look when we watch footage of him displayed on his NCSA profile page. The snaps are consistently on target with good pace, which will increase with added strength and reps. Rubio Long Snapping ranked him as a four-star prospect, saying: Galbraith had a strong showing at the Rubio Long Snapping Camp in Chicago on December 13th, 2025. He has a great frame and can easily pass an eyeball test from any college coach. His starting form is solid, and his flexibility stands out right away. Gus follows through well and shows a strong, aggressive snapping style. His upper body strength is impressive, and as he continues to incorporate his powerful legs through slow motion drills, his overall speed and consistency will skyrocket. He's right on the cusp of greatness and trending in the right direction.

We last wrote about Eagle before after his sophomore season of 2024. It was time to catch up with the Muscatine lineman, who was kind enough to provide colleges and scouts with a junior highlight video. Eagle operates as a stand-up edge rusher. He understands the importance of setting that edge and does so, funneling plays inside before moving in for a tackle. Eagle added weight and strength between his sophomore and junior campaigns, and it showed up in getting off of blocks quickly and being able to absorb them while holding the line. Eagle still has room to grow physically and sharpen his skills, which should be exciting for programs on the next level. He finished his 11th-grade season with 22.0 tackles, nine of which were solo stops. Eagle recorded 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.

Miguez lists his 40-yard dash time at 4.6 seconds, his vertical leap at 36 inches and bench press at 300 pounds. We can see that athleticism when watching clips on his Hudl page. The compact linebacker flashes impressive straight-line speed in pursuit. He moves well laterally and is quick, in general. Miguez is fast in diagnosing plays and keeps the ball in front of him. Physicality is a big part of his game. Active hands help him separate easily from blocks. Miguez's skill set aids him in coverage. He'd also be a special teams' asset on the next level. Miguez finished up a productive junior season with 49.5 tackles, 45 of which were solo stops. He added two tackles for loss, a pair of sacks and an interception.

As you can see by his ranking in Iowa's 2027 Class, Haug is not a new arrival to the party. He's been on our radar for awhile. It's that time of year when we're refreshing player profiles with updated evaluations. Haug's page needed one since we hadn't checked out his junior film until now. He completed 70 of 123 throws for 1,146 yards and 11 touchdowns, adding 479 yards and six scores on 67 carries. Haug's 11th-grade highlight video does a nice job of providing insight into current skills and abilities, while also revealing that there's room to grow before reaching his ceiling. That should excite scouts. A strong arm, quick release and good mechanics stand out when watching Haug take game reps. He does well in working quickly through his progressions and makes smart decisions with the ball. Haug sells play fakes well. His athleticism allows him to keep plays alive off schedule with mobility and make him a threat to picks up yards with his legs.

Johnson contributed in all three phases as a junior on a 2025 playoff team. He shined most brightly on defense, where he registered 42.5 tackles, including 36 solo stops and a half tackle for loss. Johnson also recovered a fumble. He averaged 18.1 yards on 15 kick returns and caught 23 passes for 162 yards. Johnson produced a highlight video from his 11th-grade season. On it, we witness a smooth cornerback that finds success pressing and in playing off the receiver. He diagnoses plays quickly and breaks fast on the ball. Johnson's back pedal and changing of directions looks fluid. While not the biggest guy on the field, he operates with physicality and is a technically sound tackler.

This is an updated evaluation of Zaugg, who we highlighted back in August before his junior campaign at Burlington. We're happy to report that it was a successful season. He tossed 10 touchdowns and ran for six more. Zaugg threw for 751 yards and rushed for 318 more. All that added up to all-district honors. His 11th-grade highlight video does a nice job featuring his strengths as a football player. The first clip shows off his ability to push the ball downfield and put it on the money. Zaugg does well throwing on the move and in selling play-action fakes. He looks comfortable operating out of the shotgun or under center. Zaugg can fit the ball into tight windows with a strong arm.
