New Additions to the 2028 Rankings Who Will Stand Out in 2026

We added hundreds of prospects to our rankings in Ohio last month for the Class of 2028. In our next article and multi-part series, we break down four new additions and will continue to do so throughout the months of February and March. These four early risers have a chance to become high-impact players in the fall and beyond.    [player_tooltip player_id='1652961' first='Terence' last='Moore'] is a very good run defender who can deliver heavy hits for Winton Woods. Very twitchy, displays great instincts, flows to the ball and flashes top-shelf range and closing speed. Moore is also a good lateral mover who takes great angles to the ball. He is a name to keep an eye on during college camps this summer.     Peter Fortkamp is a starting inside linebacker for Elder who earned a spot in our rankings for his closing speed, ability to get downhill and hit, and his abilities as an open-field tackler. Tough, rugged and very instinctive, Fortkamp is a very good block shedder who can be a force against the run. Very athletic family as his brother, Henry, also plays football.     [player_tooltip player_id='2127886' first='Malachi' last='Smith'] is a talented prospect for Colerain. From his perch at safety, Smith displays great timing with breaking up passes and quickness to break on the ball. But what really stands out about Smith is his abilities against the run, where he has great closing speed and can be a huge thumper and tough, physical hitter. At 6-foot-2, 185 pounds, Smith has the size, frame and arm length to excel at the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='2108149' first='Cash' last='Patrick'] is a starting defensive tackle and offensive lineman from Celina. Great small school standout on both sides of the ball. Strong, tough, with a tall and lean frame with plenty of room to grow and get bigger over the next two seasons. Patrick is a very good defensive tackle with good first-step quickness. Can overwhelm opposing blockers at the point-of-attack, wrap up ballcarriers and make plays. Patrick displays good use-of-hands and quickness to shed blocks. The sky is the limit for Patrick, who is 6-foot-6, 265 pounds.
