Peter Fortkamp is a starting inside linebacker for Elder who earned a spot in our rankings for his closing speed, ability to get downhill and hit, and his abilities as an open-field tackler. Tough, rugged and very instinctive, Fortkamp is a very good block shedder who can be a force against the run. Very athletic family as his brother, Henry, also plays football.

Fortkamp is a really talented linebacker for the undefeated Elder Panthers. The strength of the Panthers is in their defense. Fortkamp really flashes on film. He’s fast and he’s violent. In the run game he does a good job of sifting through the wash to get to the ball carrier. He plays with good pad level and tackles through the runner. In the pass game he’s comfortable in space and shows a nice break and good ball skills. Pete is definitely a player who has power for upside.
