A relentless runner that can outstride a defense, pack a punch and take a screen or a kickoff return to the house, Caves led the entire state in all-purpose yards this fall, finishing with 2,846 total. The key cog in the machine of the Pirate offense, Caves took 235 carries for 1,880 yards and 22 touchdowns, while grabbing a team-leading 31 receptions for 390 yards and three touchdowns. Caves is a multi-faceted star that can help out on special teams and pass protection in addition to playmaking with the ball in his hands.

An uber-elusive receiver that looks like a prototypical slot receiver at the next level, [player_tooltip player_id='1204437' first='Jordon' last='Green'] is a threat to make a big play in a variety of ways for the Wolves. Whether it's grabbing a slant over the middle and taking it to the house, catching a screen pass and making a play or going up and getting a shot to the endzone, Green is a safety valve and a big play machine for Waukee Northwest.

Green led Iowa's largest class in receptions (68) and receiving touchdowns (14), while finishing second in yards (1,168).

An all-state gunslinger that led 5A in passing yards, passing touchdowns passer rating and threw zero interceptions, [player_tooltip player_id='1204436' first='Mack' last='Heitland'] has been almost criminally under-recruited to this point. Green's quarterback that threw him all those passes, Heitland is one of the most efficient passers in recent memory.

He may not be the physical specimen some Division I programs are looking for under center, but Heitland effectively uses the weapons at his disposal, is an excellent decision maker, has great touch on his throws, can take off and run, and he has helped make Waukee Northwest a legitimate title contender.

The 3A leader in receiving touchdowns with 14 off 50 catches for 702 yards, [player_tooltip player_id='1532898' first='Maddox' last='Kelley'] a gadget guy that can do just about anything an offense needs, the junior steps in and made plays as-needed for the Spartans in whatever capacity they may need. Also finishing as the team's second-leading rusher with 64 carries for 371 yards and 12 scores, Kelley is as dynamic as they come. He could even play defense at the next level, posting 41 tackles and six interceptions in 2025.

One of the bigger OL in the state of Iowa, [player_tooltip player_id='1204441' first='Preston' last='Mensah'] is an imposing physical presence for City High. The Little Hawks may not have had the season they wanted to this fall, but Mensah's size and power at right tackle will return for 2027 where they look to take a jump forward.

Technically sound with the ability to put defensive ends in the dirt, FCS programs in the Midwest should be all over Mensah with offers at this point -- if anything, his size should be a major calling card for Division I staffs.
