Earlier this week, we unveiled the first batch of rankings for the state's 2029 class with the Top 25. Throughout the next few days on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we'll be breaking down each prospect in the rankings, along with a handful of players outside of the Top 25 to keep an eye on moving forward. In this breakdown, we're putting that spotlight on the top five prospects. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more 2029 prospect breakdowns, along with ranking updates for the 2028 and 2027 classes.

New Muskogee quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1667339' first='Jeymon' last='Reed'] is the top overall prospect in the state's 2029 class for our initial rankings. Reed started for Altus in 2025 and helped guide the Bulldogs back to the playoffs, putting up monster numbers in the pass and run game. Reed's dad was the head coach at Altus and he stepped down to become the new offensive coordinator at Muskogee. So now, Reed moves up to the 6A-2 level and instantly makes the Roughers a team to watch throughout the 2026 season. In January, we announced Reed as our 2025 Freshman Of The Year and when you throw on the film and look at him from a pure prospect standpoint, there is a lot to like. He checks a lot of the boxes and he's only going to get better from here. He's incredibly athletic, he has good size and he can sling the ball all over the field. Our one time to see him in person was in the worst weather conditions and he still impressed.

Carl Albert offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1701291' first='Jax' last='Wilkerson'] comes in as the #2 overall prospect in our initial 2029 rankings. Wilkerson suited up for Carl Albert's varsity squad but the varsity film is very limited. The Titans brought back their entire offensive line in 2025 and Wilkerson saw playing time but did not start. So it's pretty rare that a player with a limited sample size debuts at such a high number. But when it comes to Wilkerson, it's all about his future and what he could end up being when it's all said and done. All signs point to Wilkerson being potentially the hands down top prospect in this class. He measures in at 6'7 and 275 pounds. He's a very strong athlete for his age already. Just watch what he does on the basketball floor and you'll see it. P4 programs have already started offering as he picked up his first offer in June of 2025. Wilkerson could end up being the most sought-after Carl Albert prospect in program history.

Broken Arrow offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1409130' first='Devin' last='Smith'] checks in at #3 and right behind Wilkerson as an OL prospect. Smith started for Broken Arrow on the interior of their offensive line. And when you look at some of the personnel that Broken Arrow had on that unit, it's impressive that a freshman cracked the starting lineup. But similar to Wilkerson, it was obvious that Smith was going to be a name to know in the summer before his freshman year. He started picking up P4 offers in the summer and things haven't really slowed down now that his freshman film is making the rounds. Smith started for the Tigers at left guard and showed off a variety of skills. He could get to the second level and out of his stance in a hurry in pulling situations. We've talked about how special the state's 2029 offensive line class could end up being and Smith is another good example of that. We're looking forward to seeing where he lines up in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1573111' first='Joseph' last='Williams'] is the second Broken Arrow Tiger on this breakdown and he's also the second player that is waiting for that breakout moment under the Friday night lights. Williams played wide receiver and cornerback for Broken Arrow last fall but below the varsity level. His film is outstanding but it comes with that exception. However, we've seen Williams in person over the last two offseasons in various 7v7 tournaments and every time we've seen him, he's routinely one of the top players in his age division. Williams is also on the radar of college coaches already. He's one of a handful of 2029 prospects that already hold D1 offers as Arizona and UTSA have offered him in the last month. The ceiling for him is incredibly high. Like Wilkerson, we wouldn't typically put a prospect that is not as experienced on the varsity level this high but it's also obvious that Williams is at a different level.

Jenks offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1607998' first='Jamison' last='Mobley'] rounds out the top five and we told you, this position group is deep in the 2029 class as Mobley is the third of five OL prospects in the top five. Mobley has been a starter from day one with the Trojans. He lined up primarily at right tackle for Jenks in 2025 and similar to Smith at Broken Arrow, Mobley was on a very talented OL unit. Jenks' left tackle is one of the top 2027 prospects in the state and their starting center signed with Tulsa. Mobley is also in a similar situation where we think because of his unique blend of athleticism and size, he could be moved around on the offensive line and there probably isn't a position where he couldn't continue to dominate. Mobley was a name that we were told about last offseason and he certainly lived up to the hype. His film is really strong and whenever you're starting for a program like Jenks, it's going to get a lot of attention.
