[player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] - Athlete - Vian

Vian has another player with the last name Wright coming up. That's a bloodline that has been very important to Vian football over the last several decades. [player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] saw meaningful minutes as a freshman but it was mostly on the defensive side of the ball. But the Wolverines lose a lot of their talent on the offensive side of the ball to graduation. That will open the door for Wright to step into a bigger role and it seems like only a matter of time for him to have a breakout moment.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124514' first='Austin' last='Eshelman'] - Wide Receiver - Community Christian

Community Christian wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2124514' first='Austin' last='Eshelman'] is the first of two freshman receivers that produced at a high level for their respective teams this season. Eshelman exploded for nearly 500 yards and emerged as the team's second-leading receiver in 2025. With their leading receiver graduating, that's going to put Eshelman to become the top guy in this offense. He's a long wide receiver that could end up jumping into the 2029 rankings when we update and expand them in June.

[player_tooltip player_id='1726786' first='Beau' last='Daniels'] - Athlete - Collinsville

Collinsville is losing one dynamic Daniels brother to graduation but we could see another one emerge this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='1726786' first='Beau' last='Daniels'] saw playing time as a freshman but the door is going to open for him to be a massive contributor for the Cardinals moving forward. He's bigger than his older brother and has shown a solid ability at the running back position but could be moved around. We're looking forward to seeing more of his game in person moving forward to see how the Cardinals will try to use him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834678' first='Ben' last='Jolley'] - Quarterback - Community Christian

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1834678' first='Ben' last='Jolley'] is the second player from Community Christian on this breakdown. Fellow freshman Eshelman ended up being one of Jolley's top targets as he had a breakout moment. Jolley is a quarterback that we're definitely interested in watching this fall. If you go back and look at some of his game logs, you see his production really spiked towards the end of the regular season. He was playing really good football down the stretch and will look to carry that momentum to 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679361' first='Brody' last='Merritt'] - Wide Receiver - Pocola

Pocola wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1679361' first='Brody' last='Merritt'] will be the team's leading receiver in 2026. Merritt, similar to Eshelman, produced at a high level during his freshman season. He finished the year with over 600 yards in 2025. We don't have stats for every single freshman receiver from 2025, but it's hard to imagine that many other receivers had more yards than Merritt in 2025. We're looking forward to seeing the next evolution of his game as he becomes a potential go-to weapon in this Pocola offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124495' first='Colt' last='Calmus'] - Linebacker - Jenks

We've had a couple younger brothers on this breakdown already. Here's another one as Jenks has another Calmus at the linebacker position. [player_tooltip player_id='2124495' first='Colt' last='Calmus'] is going to be a name to watch for the Trojans moving forward. He's going to have an opportunity to learn as Jenks is incredibly experienced and talented in the front seven. Calmus won't have to rush out and play meaningful snaps before he's ready. Whenever we've seen a Jenks linebacker named Calmus, it tends to work out for the Trojans.

[player_tooltip player_id='1675519' first='Jaestin' last='Todd'] - Quarterback - Seminole

We first watched Seminole quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1675519' first='Jaestin' last='Todd'] at our PRZ-Next camp last May. Todd was a really good looking athlete and he made some very good throws. Seminole had one of the more dynamic quarterbacks in the state during the 2025 season so Todd is waiting for his opportunity. But with Seminole needing to replace that dynamic playmaker, that could open the door for Todd to become QB1 for the Chieftains moving forward. Based on the limited sample size, there's potential for a high ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] - Quarterback - Little Axe

There weren't many quarterbacks that threw for more yards than Little Axe signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1562281' first='Louden' last='Gregory'] in 2025. And when you look at the game logs, you see a quarterback that was thrown into the fire, against a very difficult schedule, and still found ways to perform. He threw for well over 2,000 yards and helped guide the squad back to the playoffs. As Gregory continues to develop from a physical standpoint, in addition to his game, he's going to be a very productive QB to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1828800' first='Mikey' last='Sawney'] - Athlete - Stilwell

Stilwell has quite a few players returning that can play multiple positions at a very high level. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1828800' first='Mikey' last='Sawney'] is a guy that is flying under the radar right now but he could be a player that produces at a high level for them moving forward. Sawney played multiple positions but after checking out his film, we really liked the way he played in the secondary. He does a great job of getting from point A to point B in a hurry. We're looking forward to seeing his growth in the next six months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1268717' first='Sterling' last='Jordan'] - Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Beggs

Beggs wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1268717' first='Sterling' last='Jordan'] is another 2029 prospect that we first watched at our PRZ-Next camp during his eighth grade year. Jordan performed really well at that event and he had a solid freshman season in 2025. When you look at Beggs football over the last decade, they've been one of the more underrated programs in the state when it comes to producing playmakers at a high level. Jordan could eventually be their next guy that steps into that role.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124489' first='Tellas' last='Weaver'] - Running Back - Lawton Eisenhower

Lawton Eisenhower running back [player_tooltip player_id='2124489' first='Tellas' last='Weaver'] is on the shortlist of prospects in this class that we want to see in person as soon as possible. As a freshman, Weaver ran for nearly 800 yards on over 200 carries. He scored all seven of his rushing touchdowns in the final three games of the season, where he took his game to new heights. In the last three games alone, Weaver carried the ball 86 times. The potential is clearly there for him to be one of the top workhorse backs in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124494' first='Zack' last='Wilson'] - Tight End/Linebacker - Adair

Adair's [player_tooltip player_id='2124494' first='Zack' last='Wilson'] is the final prospect on this breakdown. Wilson performed at a very high level as a freshman for a team that went undefeated and won the state championship. He made big plays on offense as a tight end, specifically in the red zone. But he was also very productive on defense, finishing the season as one of the team's leaders in the sack category. Adair will look to capture another state championship in 2026 and it's safe to say that Wilson is going to have a big role for them this fall.
